Meet at the Pavillion. Also if you are using google maps, it will take you to the back entrance of the park. There is a bit of parking there, but if everyone shows up. There won’t be enough room for everyone. I would recommend driving around to the front. If you show up to the tournament around 11:30, I will be waiting by the back and I can give everyone directions to the front.

Just hit un-join
Good game everyone! Congrats MrBlade! Really showed how it’s done!
Yeah, sorry I tried to "unjoin", but it wouldn't let me.

Hope you're not yelling at me behind the screen, I'm not lyingTo you, okay?

Sorry, spelling mistake

I't didn't work for me, I tried the "working" unjoin button about 10 times
Today's tournament was an experience. A learning experience for all of us. And I suspect we're going to plan and organize future tournaments very differently, in order to make sure that we don't get repeats of certain behaviors.

Please do not take any of these as a personal attack. Rather, take them as suggestions for changes you and I could make next time. If it's any consolation, very few people will read this, because most of you can not or choose not to read, so I don't need to worry about anyone getting upset from these.

- There were a ton of no-shows. About, oh, I don't know... 20. That's too much. If you're not going to go to a tournament, don't register. Things happen, and people change their minds the day of, and I think one person registered actually got banned for being a Spam-bot. But, the other 19 of you, maybe stop registering for tournaments if you're not going to show. Especially capped events. That said, I'm kind of glad you didn't show up! Sorry! We had our hands full with the 44 people and their parents who did show up.

- I need to go shopping for more tournament infrastructure. I already have tarps, mats, beystadiums, a megaphone... but I definitely need to buy weights to hold the tarps down, and also fences to indicate that people not currently participating in a tournament match should stay the heck off the tournament beystadium area and should watch from behind the fenced area and maybe not kick and stand on my cushion or kick over the weight rocks or walk on my launchers or kick me in the back while I'm judging a match YOU PEOPLE REALLY HAVE GONE TOO FAR AND I WANT YOU ALL TO TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOURSELVES AND ASK HOW YOU LET YOURSELVES AND YOUR BEHAVIOR GET TO THIS POINT AND I'M HOPING THAT NEXT TIME YOU WILL ALL BE A LITTLE BIT MORE CAREFUL but seriously we're going to need you to stand a little ways back from the main tournament stadiums and I have to buy literal fences to make that happen. At least one of you gave me valid reasons... not so much the rest.

- It was very cold. It was very windy. And by the finals, it was very dark. In winter months, having a WBO tournament at a park is a risky proposition. Weather is always difficult, but if you have 44 participants, and they're not cooperating in a way which a tournament can be efficiently run, and you run out of daylight and have to finish the finals by phone flashlight, that's no good at all. In future outdoor winter tournaments, I am going to suggest that we cap the entries at 24 bladers so that we can actually have a manageable tournament within winter conditions.

- I would like to thank all the dozen or so people who helped find rocks to put on the beystadium tarps to hold them down from the wind, that was a big help, and it was very kind of you to assist the tournament in this way. I want all the people who stepped on and kicked the beystadium rocks, and didn't put them back, all two dozen of you or so, to engage in some self-reflection about what you have become.

- A lot of parts went missing, either temporarily or permanently. Launchers went missing, a lot. Phones went missing. Beys went missing. Folks, KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR STUFF! If you can't keep an eye on your stuff, you brought too much stuff. Also, don't steal.

- We need to be more clear about the tournament rules before we begin. It is apparent that when we ask bladers if they have read and understand the rules, that when they say yes, they are lying. I know the WBO rules are thorough, and detailed, and kind of dense, and that's why you didn't read them. But I would at least like you to try again. Here, have a link. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1mbjw-O...mLOgNQ-c9A And before tournaments, we will try to explain the format better, and try to discourage you from leaving a Swiss tournament after a single loss.

- Many people left the tournament midway. I don't know what the exact numers were like, Natedog would know. Around 4 bladers left after round 1, perhaps because they thought it was a single elimination tournament. And maybe a few after round 2. I think someone left after round 3 because they were too cold, which, I concede, is a valid reason to leave. And sadly, Phantom Blader had to leave after making it to the semi-finals in the tournament, because it was after 5 PM, and his dad was very upset.
Please convey to your parents that sometimes these things take time. Please don't go to any tournaments you feel will be too cold for you. And please don't leave until you've confirmed you are eliminated. Unless a judge tells you you're eliminated from the whole tournament (and thanks you for your participation, don't worry, you will do better next time, practice makes permanent) then you are still in the tournament, don't leave.

- The tournament beystadium area is a place where you should never be near 90% of the time. And at this tournament, 70% of you and your parents were crowded way too close around that area about 80% of the time. If we have lots of people crowding around the tournament matches, it is a distraction, they become obstacles, and things get confused. Normally only the two bladers and the judge should be near a beystadium, and the blader's immediate friends and family are allowed to spectate their matches from a safe distance. After the match, all those people need to get the heck out of the tournament beystadium area so that the next set of bladers can be called in for the next match. This was and continues to be difficult for many of you to understand.

- You need to watch where you're walking. You, specifically. Or at least, almost all of you, AND YOUR PARENTS. ESPECIALLY YOUR PARENTS! Don't walk on stadiums. Don't walk on launchers. Don't walk on the cushion for my butt, I need that to avoid massive amounts of pain, and I'm going to have to buy a new one soon because people both intentionally and unintentionally damaged it. Don't walk on the tournament beystadium tarps unless you are entering for a match or exiting from a match. Do not kick random rocks that you find on the beystadium tarps; those are to weight them down against the wind. Next time I'm buying barbells to hold the tarps down, and when you kick them, I hope you hurt your foot. I insist that you hurt your foot.
Do none of you look down? I grew up in NYC, so I spent 18 of my early years looking down rather than up. Not staring at the ground is something of a recent novelty for me, but apparently the rest of you are all about that, to the point that you will never look where you are walking. I should start bringing jacks to tournaments and leaving them in places you should not be walking. Or caltrops. Why don't you look where you're walking? What is wrong with you? Do you want to step on pointy jacks and caltrops? That's the sort of thing that could happen if you don't watch where you're walking! Situational Awareness is important! "How did all of these jacks get here?" is less important than "I should be careful not to step on these jacks!"

- You need to stay away from the tournament beystadiums when you or your blader child is not having a match, but at the same time, you need to actively listen for being called to beystadiums. Do you know how hard it is to coordinate matches for 44 people when 40 of them are not listening? It's very difficult. And it makes tournaments take longer amounts of time, and makes you colder. Please try to listen more.

- The Beyshop is nice to have, it ensures everyone has a chance to get legal parts for a given tournament, and it lets bladers get some competitive beys. It is, however, a bit of a distraction sometimes. In numerous situations bladers could not be found when they were called to play or judge matches; and in some cases, they were at the beyshop, and definitely not listening for match announcements.

- Judges need to mostly stay at their beystadiums. Judging is a thankless job, but it is necessary for a tournament to run smoothly. If a judge is not currently judging a match or participating in a match, they should be checking in with the organizer to see if a match should be run in their beystadium, if the organizer isn't busy. Under no circumstances should the judge wander away from their beystadium for prolonged periods of time. There were numerous times during the 6 rounds of first stage where only two stadiums were running, partly due to the "where did this judge go" factor. We had enough judges, they just... weren't always there. There was me, Ardmore, Phantom Blader, MrBlade, we had RandomBlader64 on backup, and NateDogPhilly even juged a few. We didn't lack for judges, we just... weren't focusing. I did a good job of staying at my assigned stadium, I basically lived at it the entire tournament. I even had a cushion for my poor, aching, butt.

- Organizers calling out the matches need to focus on that, and make sure they aren't getting too distracted by other questions or transactions. Gotta keep those matches going, gotta assign the next ones! It can be tricky, especially if numerous people disappear in the middle of a tournament. Try not to schedule all the judges to have their matches at once; who judges the judges? Try to schedule your own matches for the end of the round, so that people aren't waiting on your match to finish partway into the round.

- Stay the heck away from the tournament organizer laptop. Get away from that laptop. If you're not an organizer or the judge, you can look up the dang brackets on your phones, at Challonge.com, it's public information. Stop leaning over the organizer laptop. Get the heck away from there. Get the heck away from the organizer table, period. Ask the organizer questions from the front of the table, and then return to your exile in the lands away from the organizer table.

- "Am I in the finals" is a totally valid question. Unfortunately, it is also a complicated question. Until the entirety of first stage is complete, and we've had several minutes (or even 15 minutes or half an hour) to apply the arcane and nightmarish tiebreaker rules (which you haven't read anyway) then we can't be certain who is in the finals. So, when we tell you to please give us time to figure it out, and please get away from the organizer table that you aren't supposed to be hovering around anyway, please give us that time, and give us that space. Don't make us tell you that three or more times, that just makes things take longer to figure out. Challonge's rankings cannot always be relied upon; they have different tiebreaker criteria than WBO does.
Have I mentioned I hate WBO's tiebreaker rules before? I think I have. I do hate them, they are complicated to the point of being stressful, and they are hard to understand, and they lead to bladers close to the finals but not quite there getting upset.

- Somehow a lot of the parents and children at this event thought littering was okay. It's not! Throw away your trash, or you are trash! Parents, teach your kids not to litter, or throw away their litter for them. I had to throw out pieces of new Beyblade wrapping several times before during and after the tournament.

I look forward to PA tournaments again... in the Spring. Or indoors.
Sorry, I was going to try to make it, but then I had some unexpected stuff that someone told me at the last minute, so I couldn't come. I'm sorry you had some bad experiences with lost stuff, and stuff getting trampled. Again, sorry. Try not to yell at people. It's stressful when people go where their not supposed to, but we're people. We all make mistakes, we all are curious, it's life. Maybe you do need fences, but chill a little with the jacks. If you put jacks at a tournament, people are going to think, "This is a hazard for my child". People should be aware, but should not be taught by stepping on jacks. Okay, thanks for the good advice on signing up for tournaments, I'll try to consider it from now on. The button actually wasn't working for me. And I hate it when people blame me for something which I'm not entirely responsible for. And by the way Deceased Crab, I read the entire thing. I'm sure a lot of people will take this into consideration.

I look down all the time and my basketball coach blames me for it.
Dang, DC went on a Leafy rant
Hey good game guys
"Try not to yell at people." Sometimes people do bad things and need to be yelled at. I won't sugar-coat it, because if I do, people won't learn. Like the littering. I forgot to bring up the littering! I'll edit that in there.

Don't you dare make excuses for people's bad behavior. Rather, they need to Correct it and be corrected, or it will perpetuate. And when I ask the same people numerous times to stop doing something and they keep doing it, they need to be yelled at, unless they provide a dang good reason why they ignored the first notification.
Dang, DC is on another Leafy rant
Come on guys give some respect to DC. He's just giving an in depth guide on how people should of functioned. Admittedly though DC is overly pessimistic.
Something they aren’t excuses. I just want to bring across that some people are careless, and they are! Yes, some people do deserve to be yelled at, but before you yell at them, try to explain to them what they’re doing. It’s not fair to get punished if you don’t know what you’re getting punished for first. I’m sorry if I’ve been a pain, but I just want to let you know.

Congratulations on the event, dude. I understand there were a lot of mishaps in during the event, but I feel like this could have been said (or rather typed) a little bit nicer. I had a lot of the same problems at my event (some were because of me) but I just know for next time. Like you said, it was a learning experience, but maybe think about how you're saying these things. It's something I need to work on as well.
That event was Awesome! Definitely has to be the first of many to come. Even the beyshop was getting destroyed... incredible time. Given the conditions especially. I didn't realize the sticky finger ratio was that high. That's a shame. We know what to do next time.

The next time an event is expected to get that big, I could set up a 10×10 canopy to split the crowd into two divisions
Then have the winners of the two divisions battle each other at the end for the Top spot. It would cut down on time and it could potentially break the crowd up depending on where we set up the canopy and its distance away from the Pavilion. Just a thought!
good torment guys
