COVID-19 Precautions READ THIS BEFORE CONFIRMING YOUR ATTENDANCE:
This event will cooperate with theMontgomery County COVID Guidelines, which require the following:

- Social distancing of 6 feet when possible
- Face coverings for everyone over age 2 (Please note that players who do not bring their own face covering will be unable to compete)
- Guidance and training on the rules
- Disinfectants applied to common used surfaces

Please also be aware of the WBO COVID-19 Guidelines effective from last year.

In addition, we respectfully request that all parents and siblings of tournament participants remain away from the playing area and avoid close interactions with tournament equipment and individuals outside of their immediate family. Participants may bring no more than one guardian this event.

Other Information:
Please come prepared. It is helpful for both hosts and judges if all participants bring at least one Takara Tomy or Hasbro-manufactured Beyblade of their own and more than one launcher when possible. Additionally, parents of children under the age of 13 must be present for the duration of the event, as tournament end times can be difficult to estimate, and we would hate for someone to be left behind once it is over.

Be aware of your belongings. We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

All players must arrive on-time. The tournament will begin no later than 12:00 PM and is expected to run for about 3 hours, though if there is a large turnout it may take longer. Please plan accordingly. If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

If you know in advance that you will be late, please post in this thread or contact someone at the event and depending on the circumstances we can perhaps still include you if we know you will arrive soon.

Need-to-Know Information

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

Finally a Classic tournament, I’m pretty excited
Might be able to go, hopefully I can
Nice, this will be fun
I really enjoy these double decker tournaments! As someone who has to drive 6 hours to get there, it really gives me incentive to make the Shrek trek.

He usually makes it. He doesn't even have to go early, he could drive there the day before.

This is my first classic tournament

Ok so I read over the banned drivers and my question is as to weather those are the only banned drivers or not (since this is my first classic tournament I am a bit confused)

Yeah they should be The only ones banned. Make sure you look at the banned disks and layers too.
Do you guys think that they’ll be more tt than hasbro or about the same amount??😁I am quite excited
Classic format tends to bring out a fair amount of both TT and Hasbro combinations. In the early days of Burst, some TT layers were better than Hasbro layers, and surprisingly some Hasbro layers were better than their TT counterparts.

It is important to remember that you CANNOT mix layer/tip across brand. No Hasbro layers on TT tips, and no TT layers on Hasbro tips. All judges will be on the lookout for that. And when we find that you've done that, ideally before the match begins, we will insist that you use valid part combinations.

Using a TT tip on a Hasbro layer will also invalidate your ability to use that Hasbro layer in a WBO tournament setting ever again.

Hard to say actually, some of these people use mostly takara, but some use both. I personally only use hasbro, but both brands are highly viable and recommended. If you have hasbro stuff and want some combo advice, let me know!

Did you read the updated WBO guidance, that turns it from requirements into strong recommendations?
https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Coronav...pid1775069

Montgomery County has also relaxed their stance on requiring masks for outdoor events. And in general. Face coverings are only Required for public transportation, although individual businesses and venues can set their own mask requirements. Montgomery County still recommends you wear a mask if you're at an outdoor event where potentially unvaccinated people (bladers under 12 for example) are present.

Here's the thing: either you're vaccinated or you aren't.

If you're fully vaccinated, then fine, don't wear a mask. The chances of you catching any variant of COVID-19 and having it impact your health are relatively low. Non-zero, but low. I'm vaccinated but I'm going to keep wearing mine, because I don't trust most of everyone else to make good decisions that might protect the health of others.

But if you're not fully vaccinated, while we can't enforce you wearing a mask in either WBO or Montgomery County rules anymore, then you really should continue wearing a mask. No one can force you to, but "I didn't want to be minorly inconvenienced at a Beyblade tournament" is a silly reason to potentially die. And if you aren't fully vaccinated and aren't wearing a mask, you're gambling with your life.

But as I said, the masks are basically recommended but not mandatory now.
I don’t think I’ll be able to make it, car has a recall and me and my family don’t wanna risk getting stuck on the interstate, have fun y’all!
So excited for a classic tournament, gonna be a fun day! Good luck everyone!
Hmmm, might try and come, but not sure if mom would be alright with that, so I'mma try to find out before i join
Can’t wait it’s getting closer.!! Wonder if it’ll be Swiss or double elimination
