Participant Cap: 250 Players
Due to the limited amount of time available at Brooklyn Zoo (the organizers have until 6PM to finish), it has been decided to impose a participant cap on this event of 250 to ensure that the first stage at least can be successfully completed.
What this means is that anybody who is signed up on this thread (by hitting the "Join Tournament" button at the top of the page after logging in) up to the first 250 registered users will be given priority during registration to participate in the event.
If you do not sign up on this thread, it is possible you may not be able to participate in the tournament itself if enough of the participants signed up on this event page attend. But you will still be welcome to play in free play and meet the participating Youtubers!
If needed, the final stage will take place at Cooper Park just north of the venue. Details for this will be discussed with finalists when the time comes if it is needed.
We thank everyone for their incredible support of this event and for their understanding!
MUST READ: One Page Rules Overview
We have prepared an one-page rules overview document for this event. If you are planning to attend, you will be required to be familiar with all of the information within it:
A copy of this sheet will be given to each participant as they enter the venue, but we encourage you to familiarize yourselves with it now.
Tournament Time: Tournament Registration will be from 10:00AM – 11:15AM. Players who arrive after 11:15AM cannot join the tournament, but are welcome to participate in free play (which will run until 6PM). We will be starting the tournament at 11:30AM. It would be appreciated, however, if attendees would be there by at least 11:00AM earlier. We'd like to get the tournament done as soon as possible so please try to come on time. If you come late you will not be able to play.
Entry Fees: Tournament entry will cost $10 dollars a person ($5 WBO Entry Fee, $5 Brooklyn Zoo Venue Fee). If you have a Blader Passport however, entry will be only $5. The Blader Passport grants you entrance to all WBO tournaments for an entire year. How cool is that! As you know it allows you to enter any tournament for the next year without paying the fee, as well as giving you the chance to participate in whatever contests or giveaways the WBO may offer.
Side Note: Please, PLEASE, PLEASE keep a hold on each and every part you own. We'd like to avoid thefts of all types, from Beyblades to game systems and laptops. Keep all your personal belongings close to your person at all times; do not leave them hanging around, as they are YOUR responsibility, and the tournament staff cannot be held liable for thefts.
Have your Account page open during registration. Participants being registered to the tournament must login to their accounts on any device able to access the profile page prior to registration in order to prove they are the account owner and to ensure their username is accurately transcribed. Alternatively, you can bring a printed copy of your account page to show the tournament host during registration.
All players must arrive on-time: If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.
For Parents: Depending on the turnout, expected to be more than 200 players this time around it may take up to 7 hours to complete this tournament. Please clear your entire schedule for this tournament don't expect it to be a short run tournament. If unable we advise them to join just for free play for a couple hours. As a reminder leaving the tournament early means your child will end up losing all his matches to the remainder of the matches.

Can I use spriggan requiem for free play and not the tournament?
I’m a liar. There are two staircases.
Please help. This is urgent.
I have a basic blue hasbro launcher, can I insert the ripcord in backwards to make it go left spin to launch some beyblades?
I also have a broken switchstrike launcher. The prongs have fallen off and I taped up the hole. Can I use this as a launcher grip?
Nevermind, I can’t use the switchstrike launcher. Can I use the basic blue launcher?

well they will allow super z beys... in the rules it says they won't get a seperate format so it will be quite a challenge for those who don't have super z beys yet but i doubt the beytubers will use them, you know in order for everyone to have a chance. Now for those who only participate to win ( yes these people exist) i am 98.5432% sure they will use super z beys if they have any ( the .5432 part is important)
people who who only have choz beys don’t want to be completely excluded, do they?

you can launch with the blue launcher, but you must use it the way it's intended. if you need a left spin launcher, ask to borrow one at the tournament.

ok, thanks
If a performance tip like trans or a driver like operate accidentally scoots a bit over in to a medium between modes, can I put it back to its original position, and is this counted as a change?

No, you can change it between Rounds, but not if it changes mid battle.
