Not if you want to win.

Haha...

Well the person I replied to doesn't really want one so it's an option for him, and casuals...

Its more I hated having to play it because you basically had too.
What's the difference between the LE B01 and B08/B09 stadiums?
Thinking of nabbing a 4 set and the B08 set.

Sorry I've been away so long. Life.

More details here, but basically the B-00 BeyStadium is all transparent, while the regular release has an opaque white floor :

B-00's clear plastic is a translucent grey, whereas the standard release has a completely clear plastic barrier, too.
I don't think anyone has explicitly outlined this yet, but upon closely inspecting Valkyrie, Spriggan, Ragnaruk, and Kerbeus, I've found the following:
  • Valkyrie has 3 Teeth on the underside of it's layer, all of which are relatively pronounced, tall, and sharp. This means it clicks three times before being completely locked in.
  • Spriggan, Ragnaruk, and Kerbeus all have 4 Teeth which are wider, but more rounded than those found on Valkyrie. I feel like there is some slight size differences between the teeth on each of these, but it's very hard to tell with how small they are. It could be mold variation or I could just be looking at them wrong.

It's safe to say that TAKARA-TOMY is intentionally trying to balance these parts by modifying both the shape and size of the teeth. And at such a small size, I'm certain that these small changes can make a pretty significant impact on performance.

This is beautiful :') We were all speculating that there were differences in the burst mechanism between the different types, but it's great to see that it's actually true.
Could either be awesome stuff or completely awful. That aside, it's great to see that they at least thought of this.
interesting to know Kei! May I suggest something to look on if someone get by exemple Valkyrie Blue and Valkyrie Red to see if that teeth as difference. I see each released has their own color on the layer depending on what type is. so may be the mold variation could fit with the colored layer.
I'm definitely surprised about the difference in the teeth. Interesting to see that there will be a variation amongst types/parts. Good observation, Kei.
I gotta say it's a neat idea, I think it adds some weakness to this particular defense type Kerbeus if it does burst easier, but the burst gimmick and Ragnaroks strange shape layer seems tailored for Attack types, all Takara Tomy seems to do is favour attack types, not saying it's true but it's always what I think.

Read up on Beigoma (ベーゴマ) sometime, it's the game that Beyblade is based on. With Beigoma there was no customization, but instead you could file down the bottoms of your tops to make it the right shape or height. In most cases players went for shorter tops because they were better at attack. This is likely why Takara favors attack types; because they were favored by the players of the original game, and for good reason.
I guess your right but this does have customization and a choice this time round.
It makes sense to "favour" Attack-types because it's the riskiest type and requires the most skill to use. A metagame where Attack isn't slightly stronger than all other types when played well is unbalanced because it heavily discourages Attack-type play.

Basically, Attack needs all the advantages it can get.

I just got my bursts. Actually, valkyrie bursted more often than shown. I assume since there are three, tight grooves on the underside, it helps for smash, but I have only saw true luck with valkyrie was with spriggan. Most of the time, it will be a draw via burst. Rangruk and kerebeus seemed to have stronger defense capabilities. When you get burst, with valkyrie, I had best luck with Valkyrie Heavy Defense.

Also, burst does fare quite well against metal fight, better than 4 layer bakuten shoot. The mechanism doesn't explode as often as they make it look like.

As for regarding Hasbrouck making burst, they will probably just use a much looser spring, to just make sure the parts won't burst as vigorously. They will probably also make the disk less loose, so it doesn't jump off, but rather just fall off.
It was quite interesting, albeit Spriggans is still seen as very loose.

So how well were they actually against MFB?

As for being early in the generation, they did quite well for their immediate structure. Mid season, and at their stregnth, you can see intergenerational tournaments.

Bursts only exploded with attack types with rubber flats. Outside of that, they mainly has normal sleepouts. This is mainly since burst is similar to the height of a tall mfb. Most of the time, it hits the disk instead of the layer, which doesn't stimulate burst as much. Phws, hws, and most 4d didn't stimulate burst. Some 4d and almost all zero g did.

Also, regarding spriggan, it was decently tight. It was actually the shape that causes the burst, since it is more rectangular than anything. As a result, it turns notches more frequently, and consequently, an increased chance of burst, NOT because it is loose.
Seems to be pretty sick, I'll prob unbox a few
So how does the launcher work exactly; prongs or tabs?

If you mean prongs like bakuten shoot bey shooters, then they're like them. Very Wide distanced, stubby prongs. Great launcher overall, and is very well designed.

Prongs on the launcher attach to the tabs on the Layer. Wink

So it is something like the MFB or it is completely different?
I like the MFB version, it doesn't break up easily and works so efficiently......
These ones look fairly sturdy, it isn't as long, I just hope the plastic is not too stiff.

So is it similar to MFB or is it like Bakuten Shoot? The Bakuten Shoot launchers and core's would wear down after a while and make the beys fall off the launcher, I'm really hoping it's not something like that.
