I like how they demonstrate the 'Burst" gimmick by putting the wheels and parts on a thunder-like plastic slice, but the effect looks.....wierd.

Still they are pretty relucant to tell us how to put the parts together (although we can guess it out), wonder if there is any differences between beys in bolting mechanisms.
There's a video at the link that makoto just posted that shows it being assembled, actually.

Seems like the Burst mechanism is as simple as hitting the Beyblade multiple times, knocking the Layer back each time, until you finally unscrew it.

I'm presuming Defense types are screwed in tighter and Stamina types being able to screw further in, attack types would have normal, I'm hoping that it does that.
I would not presume anything. We'll see!

It was just what I was thinking, and more hoping for, I'm not saying I'm certain but it would be nice to see that idea, although it could very well all be the same. I'll get Kerbeus and Spriggans soon to find out anyway.
BTW, did anyone notice the emblems on the top of each Driver? They seem to correspond to the type of the Driver. Maybe the purpose of that could be to designate how difficult it is to Burst. Who knows ...

I did, but I must say that I thought it corresponded to the first letter of the name, hah. Coincidence has it that Accele is Attack, Defence is of course Defence and Survive is Stamina ...

If we could determine what the hell is on Fusion which looks like an F to me, that would probably settle it : http://wiki.worldbeyblade.org/index.php?...Fusion.jpg Or is it a B ?
Hmm it looks like an F to me, too. Guess you're right. Weird choice.

I was correct. The Burst gimmick is basically just reversing the assembly mechanism. Hmmm ...

To give it a thought, Balance types are meant to have both characteristics of two different types, so probably F could stand exactly as Fusion since they are the Fusion Types of two or more beyblade types.
But the real technical term is Balance/Balancer.
Has there been any videos so far where Valkyrie hasn't won our hasn't won via a Burst Finish?

Who knows? They even once named attack as Striker and other wierd stuff like that, probably they did in on purpose for aesthetic/make it less obvious.

With the Burst gimmick being just reversing assembly as Brad said, it makes me wonder how much it will wear and eventually break the tops. I feel like they won't assemble and stay too well after lots of battles.
No they will if you thought of it then the staff will too.

I like your way of thinking hah.

Just a note that TAKARA-TOMY's hypocrisy and unneeded secrecy has not changed at all over the years : this is the stall of upcoming products they were displaying for the two days of the Tokyo Toy Show where public was allowed.

And yet for the two days prior to those where mostly other business and news agencies were allowed, we saw the whole Random Booster Vol. 01 Trident Heavy Claw and the two Starters after B-11 ...

While there will eventually be some form of wear, seeing as there is an audible click and the ease of the disassembly, it probably is designed to take allot by having the main connector be made to be pushed in. I can see a core lasting a good 2 years of heavy use. I definitely agree with the idea that if you thought of it, they did.

Yet a cynical part of my mind makes me think they they thought of it, and decided not to change it to make more money for replacements.

Judging from that amount of collision (which is whacking the face bolts together during each collision) they couldn't stay too long, but won't be just a few months if they were that brave enough to design beys to explode on their down.

If TT were to use the same plastic (forgot what is it called) as in MFB, they don't wear down very fast, but since they use pretty simple locking mechanism so that they could explode during battle, they probably will be strong enough for something like the first 30 battles, but the longer the duration of usage the sooner it gets to a condition where it will move freely and cannot withstand any hits at all due to wearing.

Guess this is the conspiracy of TT, lol
Honestly it's devious yet a great way to get people to buy more. At the same time, if they do easily wear it could deter people (obviously competitive people will buy duplicates anyways but casual or new players) from buying alot since they'll eventually need replacements. I'm sure they've been tested and whatnot, but the eventual wear of the locking mechanism wouldn't surprise me.
I doubt the wear will be particularly noticeable in most instances.

Wow that is awesome, now that i know not all the rounds are BURST i know this will be an amazing series, it seems like the Burst is really random since out of those couple battles it only happened once. I am even more excited now that i know this! Cannot wait!

This. Think back to Bakuten Shoot. The attack rings would just screw onto the top of the core and quite often during battle they could unscrew and go flying. While yes, there was certainly wear, it wasn't really noticeable and it took an extremely long time and a lot of use for a part to ever even get that way. When a part did become that loose, it was still completely usable.
