Surely you jest.

I can understand that from a mod's perspective, the posts about there only being 3 layers must be irritating since a lot of people seem to think so...but no one is breaking any rules simply by expressing their opinions. You cant delete posts or give warning points over that.

For me personally, I love Beyblade because of how many unique combinations you can make. If there are 100 beys in a 5 layer system with all unique parts, that's THOUSANDS of combinations. Reduce that number to 3, coupled with it being a new series with very few products right out of the gate? Not a lot of diversity there.

Yes, beyblade has had a few insignificant parts in the past (bit chip, facebolt, etc) but that still gave off the illusion of complexity. And those systems quickly evolved into being more complex. I just hope this system evolves over time too.
I was definitely joking, but yo, see the beautiful mathematics in all of this, hah. As I already mentioned, the Metal System had four layers but a useless Face, then they introduced Clear Wheels but the majority were useless so you barely had a choice of Clear Wheels, etc.

With sixty-four different combinations already in July, I think we already have a lot of work on our hands.
With all this new "could" based ranking system I wonder if there will be any statistical information of the combination/part efficiency. If somehow it will be incorporated, I wonder how will that reflect on the customization preferences (some parts being outclassified very fast).

Exactly, not only do I think eventually a new layer or mechanic would be added to add hype, 3 layers seriously isn't bad when all of them actually have a purpose. Three is all you really need, I understand why people see a 3 going down from 5 and complain about customization but tbh I quite light the simplicity. xD

Nice to see that a new generation has been given the green light. I think the burst gimmick will provide instant gratification and have a strong appeal to children, resulting in an impulse buy.

What surprises me, is that Takara-Tomy’s model appears to be focusing on short-term profits at the expense of the overall longevity of the brand. If core gameplay is weak, Beyblade will suffer long term.

Nonetheless, I’m so happy that the WBO will experience a resurgence and that Beyblade is back. This is some amazing research Kai-V, thank you.

I don't mean to be rude, but you've complained about the exploding Beyblades tons of times in this thread. It's an interesting gimmick, and it may not be for everyone, but seriously, would you rather beyblade be on hiatus? And at least give it a chance before constantly criticising it.
Soory i was without wifi for a bit. Um hey people can have their own opinions. Also how do you expect me to try it by now bro? NOBODY ON THIS PLANET CAN TIMETRAVEL... So what if i feel negative to the burst gimmick, im sure tons of people do. I never said i wouldnt give it a chance, in fact i have said just the opposite in my 1st posts on the matter. I just got sick of repeating it. Is it just me or do all the names sound really similar, wing accel, heavy, blah blah not repeating. They may just be made as combos with all the name repeats, which would lower need for customizing if you csn just buy the one bey you need. And actually i would rather it be on a hiatus if this new idea screws with its own metagame as beys improve on power as time goes on. Like pokemon did when they made black and white, but black and white pokemon made all pokemon worse.
It's great to see we have an exact release date now. The releases seem steady, but also far enough apart that pretty much anyone could easily keep up with them; This isn't good for my wallet...

Awesome so much stuff for the first day of Launching (July 18)
Hopefully if everything goes well , will be in Tokyo for the August 8 release, fingers crossed.
You know, I'm seeing some inspiration from the Attak wheel designs.
Cerberus reminds me of the Poison wheel.
Ragnaruk reminds me of the old Gemios wheel.
And Valkrie reminds me of Cyber.
I don't know about Sprigaan, but does anyone else see this?

The distress on their faces.

Then again, we'll have to wait.
I just hope it doesn't become super heavy metal again.
Yeah, major problem when it went from Plastic to HMS.

I was kinda referring to the launcher stress of Zero-G, but I guess I can somewhat agree on that.

Oh Zero G, in that case I do agree, it was extremely powerful but I'm kinda glad these are plastic or at least right amount of metal.

Unless the line gets canceled due to poor sales, of course the system will evolve. That's what makes this conversation so banal. Complaining that the system is only 3 layers right now is like complaining that there's only one stadium. You need to give the line room to evolve.
If these are just right spin and they make a left spin exclusive beyblade then WHAT is with Takara Tomy and exclusive left spins? Why not like HMS where it's all dual spin and experimentational? Did left spin really have to be special? It's no better than right spin if that were to be exclusive as well.

However, it's ONLY if they release Left spin exclusive Beyblades for powerful owners. I hope that new innovations for the series is dual spin but that's wishful thinking.
It's much more difficult to design a top that has reasonable, balanced performance in both directions. In fact, I think HMS is a perfect example of it, as much as I love the system.
I guess, but I don't like dragon emperors or anything that glorifies left spin when it's not better unless designed specifically.
This is great Grin I think the beylogger looks pretty cool and interesting. I hope that the release of this new gen will re-spark some more attention to the game and bring in more players. It'd be good to get beyblades popularity up again.
Wow, I come back after a long time and this what has happened? Smile

I haven't been here in a long time, so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong section or posting something I shouldn't be.

So BeyBlade Burst, eh? I'm not sure what to think. The breaking apart thing seems to be of a novelty design, which is kind of unfortunate as it may limit certain parts of the game from happening. I imagine that it would be hard to have all the staples (attack, defense, stamina) incorporated in a meaningful way, since all are designed to be broken apart in battle.

Who knows; what if the concept of weight becomes the most important thing that prevents a blade from being broken apart?

I mean, I don't like to assume so much since it hasn't released yet; so I'll reserve any more judgement for now.
Well long time no see, wait, weren't you the guy who wrote a few Beywiki articles?

Well we only found these out a week and a half ago so good timing.
did we know if the painted layer are plastic or metal?! may be it could be a thing to consider.
First layer is plastic, second is metal, last is plastic.
