I'd say keep this thread open until the 18th. In the end once this thread closes most of it will probably end up in Beyblade Random thoughts again like the old days.

Lol, this^ This is exactly why I haven't ordered any: They're not in stores yet. Of course you're going to pay more to get a product early. Once they are out and you can start ordering them from Toys R Us Japan, random toy sites and tons more ebay sellers, and it will definitely be cheaper. Have you noticed that Valkyrie has been going for double it's intended price? That will definitely drop.
(Jul. 10, 2015  10:03 PM)Nisshoku Wrote: [ -> ]Which bey did you get @[LMAO] ?

There pretty expensive from what im seeing on ebay. The prices on amazon are just about the same.

I guess since there new there more expensive.

As of now, nothing yet, I plan to buy some on July 18th, just to save a few extra dollars. To sign up on the Burst website, you don't need to have a Beyblade yet btw Smile
Beyblade Burst sounds more and more awesome. I can't wait to get some!
Hey guys — if you think of the whole BeyCloud thing as more of a rewards program for Beybladers than a competitive ranking system, it seems really awesome. I'm pretty sure it's what it actually is.

TAKARA-TOMY's initial presentation to the press made it seem clearly more competition-oriented in terms of ranking, but now it is definitely more of a fun reward system, which is really what kids these days seem to need for everything ...

By the way, I am currently creating the separate thread to discuss the BeyCloud.
OK. I just logged in and checked out the Umaterios page.

It seems that it costs 3000 points to get a chance to win Umaterios. Also, they will mail it to you — you don't go get it at a store. This language makes that pretty unambiguous:

Quote:レアベイを送るために住所などが必要になるので、お父さんやお母さんに正しい情報を入力してもらいましょう。

※ You will get a rare Bey if you win the battle. Because an address is required to send the rare Bey to, ask your parents to enter your address.
Ah, that is nice then. Only having a chance to win one might explain how it would be financially OK for TAKARA-TOMY to ship them out personally and directly.
Yeah, though who knows how good the odds of winning are. Kind of a bummer.

The more I look at the Beyblade services, the more I realize how huge of a deal this is. This is absolute genius. Will try to find time to write about it more this weekend.
What exactly is "winning the battle"? Are they trying to say that the battle is the contest or..?
Yeah, uh, I don't know. I don't have enough points to try it out.
HEY, @[Sion]! Since you have enough points, could you tell us what the battle thing is about
He said the button wasn't working for him.

Ah, I forgot. Thank you, Brad.
Or is it like the Bey Ta machine where you have to beat the Umaterios, and then connect your Beylogger with your address included and then they will send it to you? That's a possibility. But so is the lottery for it as well.
3000 for a chance only? I actually think that's not too bad, at least it doesn't go away too quickly. It's sort of like a random booster with only the rare beyblade and the rest being empty boxes, or the lottery...

I'll give this a shot maybe.

I posted this earlier and you guys kept saying no... Libruhhh This is why I was saying that we could probably use a middleman service like Anislo to get it.
Alright, the topic to discuss the BeyCloud/TAKARA-TOMY's methods to get you addicted to Beyblade and gain more BeyPoints is created :

This thread will probably be closed at most around July 20th, once Beyblade Burst is really out.
Looks like Bladers can win not only points, but gold, silver, and bronze Light Launchers at upcoming G4 Class WBBA Store events: https://beyblade.takaratomy.co.jp/info_detail?myPost=7
For those of you still wondering about how the teeth look on each Layer: https://twitter.com/kyoganken/status/614676367989346304

I've discovered that Valkyrie in fact actually has four "clicks" just like Spriggan, Kerbeus, and Ragnaruk ... but to me it visibly still only has three teeth. I'm not quite sure how the fourth one works on Valkyrie, though.

I don't know much about this, but to me these teeths seems to be as fragile as those clicks on the string launchers.

This makes me further question where the majority of resistance to bursting comes from on each blade, I'm guessing it may be a combination of the Driver and Layer determining how resistant each blade is, but I would hope it isn't just the Layer, because if it is then it will probably narrow down a lot of the metagame to choosing the Layer with highest resistance and likely using defensive Drivers.

Probably they will create wheels that are incredibly resistant to burst in shape but not in click (ie, only two teeths but rounded in shape) or something that is easily bursted in shape but resistant in clicks (ie, more than three teeths and harder to make it click, but is as spiky as the Rangaruk).

Right now it is basically determined by the Layer because the tabs on each Driver that the Layers click through are all the same size (for now, at least).
Hopefully I get one a use it in action.
While I impatiently wait for Burst to launch so I can get my hands on it, I've been watching as many battle videos as I could find. I feel like this one was the most optimistic presentation of Burst so far:

The gameplay looks fun and Bursts seem to happen when it makes sense that they would, rewarding an early blow or multiple blows in succession. But a huge problem appears to be that when a Beyblade bursts, it often causes the other to burst as well — and to the naked eye, it's indiscernible.

This is going to lead to a lot of frustrating draws.
