Part wear has always been a part of the game; it's unavoidable given the nature of the game. I don't think it'll be any better or worse for Beyblade Burst.
Is Valkyrie Wing Accele(B-1) the protagonist beyblade of the new anime?

Only reason I felt it may is because this time the actual mechanism that holds it together is intentionally being hit and split apart. I'm sure it won't be too bad after reading other posts, but we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Yes, and the protagonist is called Vart/Varuto/Valt/Vurt/etc. : http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-manga-Beyblade-Burst

Critical damage may still happen but be far less frequent. I do, however, see intermittent stability issues after so many battles. Good thing they use slippery plastic for the clamp.

If the worn part is something that doesn't cause a significant difference in parts, such as some slight deformation of the metal wheel of MFB or the track being slightly dented, then of course they don't cause problems, but if some vital parts such as bolts being snapped or the screws in the tracks are damaged, then they causes a lot of problems.

However, the place of collision is exactly where the vital mechanism of the whole beyblade is (the wheel, or the facebolt locking stuff together), while it might not wear as severely like anything else does, if it were to be damaged to a degree like not able to bolt things up, then it is definetely terrible. In BB's case, this is exactly why the wearing would cause problems since the most vital part is also the part that experiences the largest amount of wearing.
I don't know if anyone noticed this, but a lot of the Layer designs have tons of blunt projection points seemingly designed to assist in pushing the opposing Layer back in order to Burst it. I think the top designs this gen are going to look very unfamiliar due to this new style of play. Just look at Umaterios:

I would've quoted this as is for a Face Contest entry.

It makes perfect sense. Still doesn't explain the shape of the defense layer we have that much tho. The projections on that thing are so Poison-esque
Has anyone watched the video that was posted on the last page?

It would appear that Kerberus, a Defense type, is much, much more difficult to Burst than Ragarnuk or Spriggan. It took Valkarie for 4 or 5 rounds and didn't burst a single time. On the other hand, Ragarnuk, a Stamina type, bursted on contact with Valkarie at extremel low RPM.

Pretty encouraging, actually; if the combination of parts you use drastically effects the probability that your Beyblade will burst, we could be seeing customization rising to a new height, rather than being choked by luck-oriented gameplay.

Let's just hope they have a way to construct the mechanism so that manufacturing variations and part wear won't impact performance too dramatically.
^ Yup, I saw that video! I dunno if it's just because Kerbeus was more tightly assembled, though. So I didn't comment on it. I will say that it was a pretty reassuring video.
Woah, wait, I just read your comment a couple posts up.

So when these things collide, the opposing forces basically rotate the Layers backward until the combination disassembles?

That seems extremely, extremely obvious in retrospect, but I really didn't think about it until just now. Well, I feel like an idiot, haha.

In that case, I would have serious concerns over part wear and manufacturing error. Plastic ARs, as mentioned in the last several posts, had problems with coming loose over time; if that's the case with Burst Layers, parts could become competitively useless extremely quickly if exposed to enough force. That, and if the diameter of a layer were increased or decreased during production by an incredibly miniscule amount, the pressure and friction it had with the Disk could increase or decrease dramatically, causing wide performance variations in the same part.

Think about legos (which is, on a base level, what we're dealing with here). When legos are new, they fit together much more tightly than when they have been used for a long while, and even when they're new, some lego bricks of the same kind can fit together much more tightly than others.
I think we should give Takara-Tomy some credit. They have been in the toy manufacturing business for a long time and are very good at it. I am sure these are concerns they thought of — whether or not they were able to adequately address them remains to be seen, but I am optimistic.

It's also possible that the results of those battles in the video were influenced more so by the shapes of the Layers and less so the tightness of the Layer's attachment to the Driver. The Kerbeus Layer is, after all, more circular as a whole than the Whale Crusher-esque Ragnaruk.

That's exactly what I was suggesting; the comment I made about the video and the post about part wear/manufacturing variation weren't really related.
It's as if Ragnarok was designed so recoily just so it can be bursted easier to be an attack type weakness.
Absolutely pumped for this, the gimmick looks like there could be quite a bit to it, which is very interesting. I unfortunately missed Zero G, so I am hopeful that I will be able to stay on top of Burst when released.
This video shows a sneak-peek of the Beyblade Burst web app TAKARA-TOMY developped :
http://www.excite.co.jp/News/entertainme...36399.html
(Also listen to that horrified shriek the woman does when the Beyblade bursts, as if it were a murder hah. I think she is more into it than all of us here.)

So far we can only see two options, "Top (of the page)" and "Help", but there are three others that are hidden and could be interesting. What I can see from the index of the application is that the app recognises you as logged in with one particular BeyLogger, and you have a list of Beyblades to your name, the guy having only a Kerbeus-equipped customization in his profile for instance.

Clearly they only showed the application in its early development stage or in a special secretive version, but it looks like the NFC chip can indeed not recognise what the rest of the parts on your Beyblade are besides the Layer.

That makes a lot of sense, considering there aren't any complicated mechanisms to let the NFC chips to 'synchronise' the parts' data nor they could check it own their own.
SO HYPED RIGHT NOW!!! THIS IS LITERALY WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF BAKUTEN SHOOT AND METAL FIGHT GOT TOGETHER, MET THE FOLKS, GOT MARRIED AND HAD A CHILD THAT BLEW UP ON CONTACT WITH A BUNCH OF 100 BILLS FALLING OUT. BECAUS THATS WHAT ITS WORTH!!!!!
So as predicted, there are currently auctions for pre-release Beyblade Burst products starting at 3,990 yen / forty dollars ...

What products are being auctioned? I'd like to know.
I'm so hoping if some people have them already meaning my aunt can find some over the next 2 weeks.

She has to be at the events this weekend, otherwise she would also have to look online at auctions like us.

Just a few matches in the second half of the video between Kerbeus and Ragnaruk :

At 6:50, it may just be the lighting and the video quality, but it looks almost as if the orange plastic from the Ragnaruk Layer is there alone, without its transparent shell.
Watch today's Zankye's Live Streaming at 7h30 pm EST with Footage from WHF with lots a beyblade Burst related stuff, don't miss it.
