The battle and stat systems are more in-depth than a casual player or kid realize. it almost brings meaning to actual training, rather than aimlessly leveling up. It does, however, get boring after a while and I'm concerned about the ease of EV training in HG/SS. I miss the Vs. Seeker...
I amassed just over 19000 steps with my Pokewalker today. I was shocked when I saw the number! ahaha
Just beat Morty. His Gengar gave my team trouble, but once I was down to Togetic I was able to blow through it and the rest of his team using Sweet Kiss + Extrasensory. Here is my current team:

I'm going to be phasing out Murkrow in favour of Scyther soon, however.
lol today i left my pokewalker on this light up light thing (like those sphere things where u touch and a lightning thing connects to ur finger) and it was on. when i got home, it had 26,345 steps!! and i left for like 2-4 hours!! also the steps i left it at was 543

Just beat up Misty for my 2nd Kanto badge.
Absolutely loving this game. Seeing Kanto in the 3D graphics looks simply wonderful.
As my team's "reward" for beating the Elite 4, getting the national dex and heading into Kanto, I dipped into my Pearl file for some evolution items..
Which is why ShadowWing, Mercury, Tesla and Mars are in their "Generation 4" evolutions. (While I was in Johto, I stuck to using exclusively Gen 1 & 2 pokemon)

Forget how energetic younger people can be, without even trying.
Intrested to see how much I walk on average...I can have really active days and really lazy days though. ^^;
my poke walker highest amount is only 20 steps walking to and from my room to the computer

On the subject of the Pokéwalker I got about 20'000 by walking around london today.
Im gonna have to make more trips to Bromley. Then I can buy a frappuchino and walk back home with it, rather than gettign the bus or train. Good times....hope thats a decent amount of steps.
Well there you go, Pokewalker not only helps you in the game, but keeps the massing number of overweight kids fit. (None of it directed at you of course Rocky, just observing a point)

The lack of gamecorner and the addition of the pokethlon are really bizarre.
The pokethlon is like I just walked into some terribly 1999 wannabe-futuristic place from a classic game area, and it has minigames that are hard to control due to a lot of them using the stylus unnecesarily.
yeah pikachao i did notice that its hard to control my pokemon in the pokeathlon just a little bit> lol me and my suicune lost terribly lol. I already have all 16 gym badges I caught ho-oh. lugia. entei. suicune. and raiku. and I even beat red now I just have to get mewtwo, articuno, zapdos, and moltres.

They cut the classic game corner because parents did not like the idea of there kids learning how to gamble

Meh.
Slots were alright in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, but in general I find them a bit boring.
Voltorb Flip is really quite good, haha.

Okay I have a question. When do you get ho ho or lugia (ho-ho more) because i beat a gym leader but i have no pokemon to teach fly 2. Yes in the begining i saw a pidgey and i said to myself catch or regret and I didn't and look at where i am now. I have just got my 6th badge.when do i get it or any suggestions I should catch?

Exactly. Plus, it helps kids learn math. No joke, it's proven to help wtih ratios and fractions and stuff.
My friend is pestering me about buying this game. Just hope that you can catch that Red Garydos without an event like in the originals.
Pretty sure you can catch Red Gyrados as part of the storyline. : )

Yeah its much easier to get coins now and i just got dratini and abra from there.

if you have heart gold, after beating team rocket at the radio tower, you get the rainbow wing. in soul silver, you get the silver wing. you then go batttle the kimono girls and they go to the location of the legendary, soul silver, whirl islands, heart gold, bell tower. go through either location, depending on the game, and you will catch which ever one it is at lv 45
When can you catch the legendary dogs? I'm up to the elite four and have caught Lugia.
