If the next Pokemon adventure game is on wii, how would people battle with others without wi-fi?

Ignoring the fact that I want nostalgia, this looks amazing. I love the way lugia swims through the water on that opening screen. The 3D fits it really well.

Using the touch screen for the menu seems like a great idea to me except I don't like to smudge it up with my fingers. Hmm... maybe I'll have a nice use for that thumb strap thing that came with my original DS now? =]

Besides, that's like saying "WHAT IF THE USER HAS NO FRIENDS, HE CAN'T PLAY WITH OTHER PEOPLE D: D: D:".
Yes, but you can handheld consoles play anywhere you want, unlike wii.

Anyway, that's not really the point of this topic, we are supposed to talk about the game, not the future ones.
Ahehe sorry about that then,

So when everyone gets the game, which starter pokemon will you choose?

I'll choose Chikorita cause barely anyone uses her....
I am using Cyndaquil, the easiest to use in the game.

The reason Chikorita is not used a lot is because that her stats are weak and grass types aren't really good when it comes to Johto Gym Leaders.
Yeah, I know... Chikorita is weak; which is why I'll be at least 10 levels above each gym leader ( a strategy)

This will give you more of an idea of how strong is the gym-leader and what you are supposed to do when you are lost.

And apparently, you'll get a Rainbow Wing in HG/a Silver Wing in SS after the Radio Tower incident.

... get one? If you have the internet at home, getting wireless is easy. Nintendo Wi-Fi adapter if you're that lazy.
what i find cool about heart gold and soul silver is that your pokemon follow your characther like on yellow xD
and the PokéWalker is a realy cool idea
I chose totodile.. i like both chiko and cinda more than it but i chose it cuz i never chose it in the old game Tongue_out
it is evolved now, the daycare guys are crazy lol, gave them level 1 togipy and the day after i got it with level 16!
got my 3rd badge today Grin

Don't worry, the next mainline Pokemon game won't be on the Wii. GameFreak is crazy about not making console games, especially Pokemon. Instead, the next generation will be DSi exclusive.
What I really like about this game is this:

http://serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/pokethlon.shtml

They are so fun to play.
FINALLY, I caught Raikou.

I spent like 4 hours tracking, weakening to almost 1 hp, paralyzing it and 1 hour trying to catch it and got it.

All that's left is Entei, who is also weakened in the same way as Raikou.

My suggestion is to use Heavy Balls to catch them as both of them are like 17X kg, same goes to Suicine.

(Sorry for double posting)

Also, I caught it after I got my 4th badge.

So my pokemon was like Lvl 25/26.

Please train you Pokemon to Lvl 30-32 before trying as it is very tedious. Above Lvl 32 Pokemon may not be able to weaken the roaming legendary pokemon, Raikou, Entei, to near 1 hp and may potential K.O them. Save as soon as you've made progress in weakening them.

The best spot to capture them is near Ecruteak City/Violet City.

Another thing is that Latias and Latios also roam around Kanto like how Entei and Raikou in Johto.

Latias and Latios are both Lvl 35 so get a 23-25 Pokemon to try to weaken them and inflict status condition on them.

Remember to equip your Pokemon which is trying to weaken them a Quick Claw.
I caught Entei with a fast ball, took me 4 tried in this order (I've caught all the dogs, but I only wrote Entei's Pokeball order):
Ultra Ball
Heavy Ball
Great Ball
Quick Ball.

Try a mix of different Pokeballs, it works.

This is how I caught Latias:
Use a Wobbuffet level 30, and make sure it is level 30, keep using counter until you get damaged and then once Latias is in the red HP, I used this Pokeball order:

Fast Ball
Pokeball
Ultra Ball
Great Ball
Fast Ball
Fast Ball.

EDIT: Used Wobbuffet on all the dogs, and Latias, it's ability 'Shadow Tag' makes the opponent unable to escape.
When I get this next year I'm most likely going to choose Totodile and if I get a DSi for Christmas I'll transfer my Sinnoh pokemon over to soul silver when I get it in the US next year.
Ill be choosing cyndaquil ftw.
Lol I've almost beaten the game, I just need to catch Latios and beat Red.
Just training the pokemon so far. Only up to the 1st Gym and my pokemon's levels are up to 20 Grin Trying to translate the games so far. It's fun
