Meh let him do what he wants Omega. lol

Actually, if you keep leveling Pidgeotto, without leveling him up, he will learn more important moves faster than he will learn them from Pidgeot. This usually applies to some or most Pokemon.

You meant evolve?

True, but in the end when the pokemon reaches lvl 100 with very late evolution, it will have a significant decrease in amount of stat.

And also, all pokemon learn moves faster when you don't evolve it, speaking of which, there are some pokemon who can only learn certain moves without evolving...not in the case of Pidgey->Pidgeotto->Pidgeot though.
Yeah that was what I meant
Even if you evolve them, they still learn the moves needed, just a few levels after.
Still faster!

They really aren't...
Evolution doesn't even factor when it comes to the matter of EV points, which are entirely based on gaining exp from knocking out particular Pokemon for each of the stats (attack, defense, SP attack, SP Defense.etc)
And just so you know;
they're = They are
their = Their (as in, "their stats are")
Some of you really are total and utter plankton.
*Sigh*...
EV training is different... Not many people know about EV training, and I'm talking about just normal training.
The stats on a level 100 final stage Pokemon compared to a level 100 final stage Pokemon that was unable to evolve is a lot better.

Example:
level 100 Pidgeot (evolved at it's normal levels) it's stats will be much better then a level 100 Pidgeot that was unable to evolve.

If your EV training, then you need to go through a process of hatching the Pokemon with the right nature, and using proteins, carbos, etc at level 1, and then carefully training it against the right opponent.

Quote:Be aware that delaying evolution comes at a cost: a Pokémon's pre-evolved form almost always has lower statistics than the evolved form. Not only do evolved forms tend to show greater stat gain from Level to Level, but Pokémon receive a one-time "evolution bonus" to their stats. The longer evolution is delayed, the larger this bonus will be. However, it is not the case that Pokémon who put off evolution are stronger in the long run. It's true that if you delay your Psyduck's evolution until L99, it will receive a very large statistic bonus upon evolving. However, this stat boost will be exactly equal to the larger Level-by-Level gains that Golduck would have been making if you had evolved at an earlier Level.

Then I am wrong about the stat decrease.

But still, EV is a very complicated and tedious stat training and what's more is that you can't check the IV until the pokemon is lvl 100.

Omega, if you don't believe Bey Brad and theflightyellz, try this.

Is it weird that I'm actually looking forward to some of the Pokewalker features as much as I'm looking forward to the actual game?
Really hating the fact that room decoration has been removed, still remember putting the Snorlax doll in my room, and getting the surfing Pikachu plush by Mystery Gift.
Excited that the fact that PokeWalker is a PokeVice (Digivice Pokemon Version)
I liked buying stuff for my room too. I wonder why they removed that.

I really want the Pokewalker as well. I wonder how much EXP would one get for a 6 km run?
Can't understand why they would get rid of it. Don't think you'll be able to have a secret base, and you definitely won't have the tunneling equipment from diamond and pearl either :\
I'd assume that you won't get EV points for it, so you probably wouldn't want to seriously level up a Pokemon on it. I'll probably be using it for catching certain Pokemon, and training others to evolution point.
I completely ignore EV training. It's an aspect of the game that has never appealed to me.

You really don't need to worry about it unless you battle other people anyway.
Speaking of, I wonder if it works the same in HG/SS
ughhh EVs and IVs kill pokemon

You don't gain exp, but watts, which is the currency in PokeWalker.

The PokeWalker is made so that you can catch certain Pokemon that are not in the game itself.

Am I the only one who's sick of UK events for the Pokemon series being so few and far between?
And even whey they do finally appear, they're always ridiculously spread out across the country.
Kind of amazes me that they can't just upload the event to the Wii channel, and let you download the Pokemon event directly from there?
no, your not the only one who's sick of it
I've only ever been to 1: the shaymin event that happened in the Hamleys in London. I think for any battle events, they'll put them in the US, but downloads of rare pokemon will just happen over wifi from now on I think.
Its a shame, when you go to a download event, you just get into battles with people anyway. Now, its different

On another note, who thinks for HG/SS the should have a wifi battle fuction where you can battle random people without having to have their friend code. Something a bit similar to the one in battle revolution
i'm getting Heart Gold for my girlfriend for her birthday an Soul Silver for me.
Heart Gold:

Progress: Caught Ho-oh and Raikou so far.
Lt.Surge is toast = 9 Badges in total atm.

Good stuff man. Which Starters have you picked so far?

Fyi, you do not get the Gen.1 and Gen.3 starters unless you get all the badges and beat the legendary trainer, Red.
Red is very imbalanced and powerful in SS/HG btw. Grin

Other than that, I guess I'll get to Celadon now to burn some Vileplumes/Glooms, etc.
As my first Starter, I picked Cyndaquil (Female = 1/8 chance, just my luck I suppose)
