I might be entirely wrong but I believe additional weight increases inertia and increased inertia or outward weight in anything below the Layer can make it harder for the bottom of the combo to stop spinning for that split second when a big hit is taken, resulting in clicks. I think this effect can be nullified if the Layer can rival the weight of the Disc and Driver. Someone fact check me.

The Puerto Rico meta is in the worst possible place right now, because of the fact that most people either have just Hasbro Beys or bad Hasbro Beys; on top of that most kids I've seen have also bought fake beys (which they bring because: "Hey, they're Takara Tomy" (they're not)) throughout the months/years so in the tournament they need to default to any legal beys they managed to bring, which are almost always bad. I was really surprised when I saw Jeriel1000 with the combos he used, never expected to see those on our first tournament, given that all other events I've seen here are Hasbro only.

Judgement Joker Zan Blitz Xtreme Dash - I guess this is a typical tank attack type

LC Hell Salamander 0Bump Orbit - looks a bit iffy, but it worked (I'd personally prefer 10Cross.Xtend+ tho)

Didn't have much time to test anything Xtend+; this was originally an Atomic combo and only switch to Orbit cause I self-KO less.

I was just wondering if there was any unique technique he could be using. And also because venom diabolos(and erase) with bullet doesn't seem to do well.

Those 3 layers are still in use, but a good no. of other layers are into the mix with them now.

Is it safe to assume that when someone posts Balkesh, they meant the Hasbro one? So many tournaments under the WBO rules don't restrict using Hasbro against TT (which then would explain why B3 is being used a lot in the winning combos recently)

Balkesh is Hasbro, Arc Bahamut is TT. I don't even consider Arc Bahamut and Balkesh B3 to be the same layer. Arc Bahamut's teeth are weak, and although in the past it saw use in opposite spin steal, it is severely outclassed by ChoZ releases and beyond. Balkesh B3, on the other hand, has ridiculously good slopes. When combined with the ridiculously tight spring on Hasbro Bearing, it's good. It's not perfect, it has a lot of counters. But it's quite good.

You'll never see Arc Bahamut in the winning combinations of a Burst Standard tournament now. But you'll see Balkesh.

Despite only having 18 players, I personally felt that the level of competition and variety at this tournament was significantly higher than any other Classic tournaments I've been to, and the meta felt pretty balanced as well. KO Attack wasn't used super frequently but when it was, it definitely worked - bladekid defeated Ardmore Bladers' Dragoon combo with V2.A.X in the group stage, and then Ardmore got him back using only V2.G.X' in the 3rd place match. I was also able to use M.K.Qc' as a pretty neat Anti-Attack combo both times I played against Ardmore. A few people kept KO Defense types in their decks but I don't think any of them had a chance to use them. Aside from that, no other parts were really that dominant, though Odin, Neptune, and Dragoon tended to be the most popular choices for Stamina/Burst Defense. Orpheus, Wolborg, Zillion Zeus, and Yard-S also put on good showings, but didn't really make it past the top 8. The dark horse of the tournament was definitely shota though, who won both of his first 2 Deck Format matches with exclusively stock Anubis, and actually used the TT Bearing to some success in the first stage.

Arc Bahamut's teeth are trash, it's never been good. 

Arc Bahamut saw competetive use pre-ChoZ in similar set ups to current Hell Salamander Bearing combos for opposite spin equalization/ stealing. I think Alta can attest to this. Saying it has never been good is quite the understatement.

I'll correct my message, although those teeth are a huge weakness.

It has a lot to do with adjusting your speed to the opponent, I had a group of players attempt to burst aB on Bearing during the downtime at Beytuber Brawl, they had no success, even with things like nL, some right spin combos, and a right spin illegal heavyweight combo one of them wanted to test.

I could hard launch aB and still not burst, so unless there's something about mine that makes it perform this way I can't see how others have no such luck. Could be that the design of the Layer and how loosely it fits might be helping it regain clicks, clearly that's difficult to prove.

I have picked it up many times after a match carefully, and found that the Layer has either lost no clicks or readjusted back to it's first teeth. I will have to upload a marathon of matches with aB.Br to show the performance I'm talking about.

Hey all, professional noob blader here. I enjoyed participating in the fighting of exploding spinning tops while pretending I know how inertia works. I will generally partake in gatherings of people with a similar interest of these rotating objects around the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). I like the variety in these combos. What did the bearing combo beat? Can TT bearing be used in semi mobile attack? I really like the movement that stock phantom Orion has when it is tilt launched. Can the burst version of bearing have similar movement patterns? Also, I have seen people use the combo S2.G.Z, but I have never seen anyone use iron over zephyr in that combo and wondered why that was so. So, why did you use iron over zephyr? Thanks in advance for answering the questions!
