Happy Anniversary WBO!
Great timing too, because my prelims just ended and the school has given us preparatory leave till Jan 3. I'll try to convince my classmates for the tournament and if they agree, we'll finally have an event in India after 6 months(I think). So far, I've only been able to gather 4 of them. I hope I get 3 more participants soon.

You should ask through private messaging. And I also strongly believe that rewards won't be handed out until after all this is over, to keep point records a mystery.
Ah, thank you. Will be posting more stuff soon!
I'm new to the wbo can someone explain what this is
Of course ik it's the 5th anniversary (btw HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY)
So one of the Scavenger Hunt Goals was to share your experience at a restricted tournament. To start things off I was a little worried about this event considering this was the first restricted tournament and everybody would be using new combos they made at home. In the fist match I played Beyben, who used Gravity Perseus AD145 WD (Gravity Perseus was pretty popular). I use MF-H Gravity Perseus B;D in right spin, assuming he would use left spin. My prediction was correct about him using Left Spin. I win round 1 and 2 by KOs and round 3 by OS (Current score 1-0). Next I play stupaoz. He ends using VariAres ED145? GCF (The Metal Fury VariAres was obviously the one used). I use MF-H Gravity Perseus B;D once again. I end up winning 3-0 or 3-1(I forgot full details). Now my current score is 2-0. Next my opponent was Stormscorpio1, this match would decide who would got to the finals. I knew he would be coming hard since I beat him in the match for 1st in BB-10 format. We both have the same idea and use attack. I used MF-H Graivty Preseus TR145 LRF, while he uses Screw ____ 100/90/85 LRF/R2F ( I really don't know much besides he was using Screw on a low track, with a spiky rubber tip). I end up winning 3-0 against him because he had a few self KO's and one time I KOed him (I believe). Current score 3-0 and going to the finals. Next in the finals I play TheBlackDragon. Expecting him to use a left spin I pull out a combo I made earlier in the week, Earth Cygnus TR145 BWD, but he actually uses Earth Cancer 85 WD. First round he wins by a very close OS. Next round I end up pulling of a KO by him knocking my top off balance and TR145 coming at him hard sideways. Next round I OS him. Finally my top lands on his and he is knocked out. 4-0. Finally I play Defstamia88, realizing if I lose we will have to do a tie breaker since TheblackDragon beat him. So he uses Gravity XD and I use MF-H Gravity Perseus TR145 LRF. I'm in left and he's in right. In round 1 he knocked me so hard I stay in the middle as he circles the stadium and lose due to him tornado stalling. Next few rounds I win all by KO (one might have been an OS, but I'm not positive). So I end a very fun tournament 5-0. It was a very good experience although I wished it counted for points. I also realized they is a pretty easy way to sweep these tournaments, but I wont tell so people can find out themselves. I really think these tournaments should be done a lot because they added a bunch on fun and excitement. Thanks for making this an official format and I'm glad to be part of the first one (I believe).

Also will I receive 8 points or 4 points for the scavenger hunt since I went to 2 tournaments?
So this scavenger hunt umm im super confused
@TD: You only receive 4 for the tournament. The OP says you get 4 points for at least one.

You should post this kind of thing in the Limited Format forum. That was our intention with this goal; we want to encourage discussion, so that would be the best place for it!

Yeah. You're limited to 4 Points for tournament participation during the celebration period. It especially wouldn't be fair to award extra points for participating in multiple tournaments on one day; it's great that people do that, but it also might encourage people to play in/host as many 'tournaments' as possible just to gain points for the Scavenger Hunt.
(Dec. 08, 2013  12:14 AM)AsianBlader555 Wrote: So this scavenger hunt umm im super confused

lol

So you just try to complete the goals for the Scavenger Hunt and if you get them correctly you'll be rewarded with points. You can spend them on whatever Faces you wish in the first post as long as you have enough at the end of the anniversary.

On top or the hunt we also have a new format for tournaments & play, design-a-contest, entry fee removal, etc. Most of which help to accumulate points.

I love the WBO, hope it keeps improving!
Alright, my Spartans just one and I'm still wired so:
  • Your best day on the WBO: On the Website, it was between getting my first tournament approved or last year I made a comment about beyblades being a way for a father and son to bond, and Brad responded to it that he was touched.
  • The best year for the WBO in your opinion: Well I was vacant most of this year, so I say this next year is going to rock. But 2012 was awesome.
  • Your time spent on the WBO: Way too much count?

  • Your favorite WBO Member: I'd have to say Th!nk, he's helped me quite a bit with plastics, something I went into knowing absolutely nothing about. But Arupaeo, Kei, and Dark Mousy also helped me a lot when I started hosting tournaments. And Kai-V seems to be softening up a little too lol.

  • Your favorite news posted (Beyblade-related or anything else): Pretty happy about the fact they are continuing beyblades when it looked like they might be coming to an end.
  • The post you find funniest: Something like: I need a combo to beat my unbeatable combo of storm___ ed145hf, any that resemble that.
  • Your saddest moment on the WBO: not a moment but noticing DaWretched disappearing from beyblades, realizing that he wasn't going to come to tournaments anymore
  • The occasion you spent the most time on the WBO: Organizing some of the big tournaments I had in 2012...
  • Your favorite thing about the WBO: The Tournaments hands down. The NA championship, I hope to partake in that next year! But the fact that for the most part, everybody is fairly cooperative and if they aren't they dont really stick around too long if they don't change. The structure of the web monitoring really does work.
  • Alternatively, your favorite concrete feature about the WBO: Beypoints tournament rankings world wide is pretty cool

  • The WBO Member you'd like to hang out with: Naijalak, Arupaeo and anybody else over 25 lol

Unhappy
Just realized that we forgot to add the new Stone Face Boosters and Faces to the Face Collection list. They've been added now: http://worldbeyblade.org/myawards.php

Re-read the opening post and you'll know! You have to earn points in the Scavenger Hunt by completing some of the goals that are listed and then once the celebration period is over and we have posted the final leaderboard, you can redeem some of your points for Face Boosters.
Haha, I was wonderin' when they would go up. Thanks Kei!
I should have posted earlier, sorry! But this is amazing. Everyone's done a really great job. I'm particularly excited to see the Limited format finally come to fruition.

A big congrats to the WBO Committee for how far everything has come.
Can I post a pic of why I like the wbo on a piece of paper and post it? I can't post a vid Unhappy

You cannot even make a video where we do not see you ? You really do not have to appear on the video yourself, you could just show your computer screen where the World Beyblade Organization is presented.
Sorry, I am not allowed to have a YouTube account or channel. But I will write it is for the wbo in the description and title?
(Dec. 09, 2013  2:19 AM)DRAGON KING Wrote: Sorry, I am not allowed to have a YouTube account or channel. But I will write it is for the wbo in the description and title?

Hm, you could ask one of your friends to upload it for you ? Someone here ?
But everybody is so busy doing there own scavenger hunt things. There is absolutely no possible way I could put it in photobucket?

EDIT: if that is considered not as good as uploading a vid, u can give me 1 point not 2............ Just tryin' for atleast an anniversary face Wink

EDIT 2: U get 2 points for uploading a entry to the face contest right? Cause the OP of the face contest says "get your point" not points.
I just saw the video, and lol at Spinster, "THE BATTLE FOR NORTH AMERICA HAPPENS HERE...... in this dish."
