Apparently each piece of the Bey has an NFC chip on/in it which will be fully used in the future when they aim to release cases for the Beyblades. The NFC chip will store battle results on it and the data can apparently also be read as well. (I'm guessing that's for shop use then? Maybe a "Bring in a Beyblade with 100 synced NFC wins and we'll give you a special edition Beyblade!")
Damn, so they only mentioned NFC, they never actually stated how it's going to be used. But that's electronic, won't the chip need to be charged somehow?

I'm guessing that's why "country" is listed on that example they showed.
I feel like this is going to backfire. The series probably won't come out in America until after the anime is released, so no matter what westerners are going to be lagging behind in the rankings unless there's more of a luck focus than skill.
Edit because I forgot to mention it: The burst system doesn't actually sound to bad by the way you explained it. Back in Bakuten Shoot Beyblade when they released Engine Gear Beyblades, the EG didn't always go off, but it was usually after receiving a really hard hit (If not when you were almost out of spin, if at all). I imagine that it will probably be similar to that.
