Other Information:
Please come prepared. It is helpful for both hosts and judges if all participants bring at least one Takara Tomy or Hasbro-manufactured Beyblade of their own and more than one launcher when possible. Additionally, parents of children under the age of 13 must be present for the duration of the event, as tournament end times can be difficult to estimate, and we would hate for someone to be left behind once it is over.

Be aware of your belongings. We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

All players must arrive on-time. The tournament will begin no later than 1:00 PM and is expected to run for about 3 hours, though if there is a large turnout it may take longer. Please plan accordingly. If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

If you know in advance that you will be late, please post in this thread or contact someone at the event and depending on the circumstances we can perhaps still include you if we know you will arrive soon.

So unfortunately Maryland is very unpredictable with the weather. Just the other day where I am was suppose to get a severe thunderstorm, and then we had about a 1/2 hour or rain and that was it. So I feel like it’s best to play it by ear and see what the skys are looking like come about 11:30-12 and then I can make a better judgement on weather or not to cancel.

I tend to show up to these things a bit early, so I can give you an early weather forecast from the event grounds. And if it gets canceled, hey, that's life. I'll keep on eye on the thread in case you decide to delay or cancel it.

Awesome. I’m gonna try to get there between 10-10:30. So I’ll collaborate with you when there on what we feel is best.
It’s supposed to be rainy all day tomorrow, I don’t want to drive from NYC for nothing could the host please reply

I see the response above my question, please disregard

Wait, wait, hang on, wh-

did you choose a username that has the word Murder in it?

What even?

EDIT2: You get that we're absolutely not going to call out a match between "Bladername1" and "Murder823". We're not going to shout Murder over and over in a public park. That's not happening. Go... register another username and use that instead. Something that doesn't break the rules. https://worldbeyblade.org/Announcement-C...-MUST-READ

EDIT: As to the weather question, if it's a local tournament, you might as well go. But if you're driving 4 hours... hey... no. Just skip it. That's too far to drive anyway, in general, but if there's a slight chance of weather cancelation, just don't go.
Nah my son would not be using that name to play but I’ll change it cause your absolutely right.on another note they need to close this from people who are not signed in .

How can I edit my name

PM ~Mana~
Your son needs their own account name, otherwise they'll have to use yours. And you're not actually allowed to share accounts like that. Have them register an account name and then register for this tournament with that name. You're more than welcome to participate yourself, provided you don't use a username that has the word murder in it.
Can we get an update on whether or not this tournament is going to be postponed tonight? Looks like a pretty high chance of rain / thunderstorms all day.
After looking at the forecasts and constantly watching them for the past couple of hours I’ve decided to postpone the event until the 22nd of august, as that will be my next available date from work that I can host. I’m deeply sorry for any inconvenience this has on anyone.
Life happens bro no worries 😎. Looking forward to seeing you in NC soon 😊
You might want to edit the tournament details to add (Weather Rescheduled) to it. Just for the non-readers.

There's always going to be that small fraction of people who don't read tournament threads the day of to check for this sort of thing, and I cannot stress this enough: that is not your responsibility or your fault, they did it to themselves. It will be demoralizing for them and it may be demoralizing for you, but you cannot stress out over people who do not read the tournament thread details the morning of the tournament, and show up even though the date got moved. You even postponed this last night, so it's not as if this was a last minute thing.

Okay will do. I also sent every person that signed up a message letting them know.
Disappointing to say the least, see you guys on the 22nd! (Hopefully)
If you're brave enough to face the rain crisis and I are here to just practice and have fun
Are you guys still here if so where are you?

You might want to read the Burst Standard rules, linked in this tournament thread near the top, to fully understand what you can and cannot do; whether or not you read it, you will be required to abide by those rules. Unhappy
