Beyblade Giveaway for Tournament Participants
SUPER Z, SUPER FUN just got even more fun thanks to originalzankye!
Zankye will be attending the event to cover it for his channel and has decided to donate one of each of the new Cho/Super Z Beyblades along with several other items from the latest Lawson lottery in Japan (Beyblade Burst towels, keychains), and some other boosters to random participants at the event!
We will be giving away a few items just before the start of the event, and then more at the end of the first stage before the finals. So be sure to stick around until the end!
Thanks, Zankye!
No Bey? No Prob!
Don't have any Beyblades from this new series? No problem! We would be happy to lend a Beyblade and launcher to you to use for the duration of the event!
Location
We'll be playing in the east veranda shelter at the High Park Nature Centre. The east veranda is the side without the accessibility ramp. If you're coming to High Park via the Bloor St W entrance, just follow that road down on the right side and you'll see the large building/shelter on the left hand side before you reach the tennis courts. If you have any questions about the location, please post here!
Here are some pictures showing the route you should take to arrive at the tournament location if you are entering the park from the Bloor St W. entrance.

Side Notes
Please be aware of your belongings: We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!
All players must arrive on-time: If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.
If you know in advance that you will be late, please post in this thread or contact someone at the event and depending on the circumstances we can perhaps still include you if we know you will arrive soon.
Tournaments will typically take a few hours to complete: All players in our tournaments have the opportunity to play multiple matches before potentially being eliminated from the tournament. We value the opportunity for players to have meaningful tournament matches and to gain points in our rankings, and like to stay away from the harshness inherent to Single Elimination style events for the first stage of our tournaments. As a result, our tournaments do take a few hours to complete.
The total time depends on the number of participants. Depending on how many players we have, we play using either Round Robin, Block Round Robin, Swiss Format, or Double Elimination. In each case, please note that the tournament will take at least two hours to complete after registration has finished and the first tournament matches have begun. The more participants we have, the longer it may take, but this cannot be determined until the day of the event. Thanks for your understanding!
All questions for this tournament may be asked in this thread!
Not sure what to expect?

Just so everybody is aware, we just posted a new update stating that he 12 Core Disk must be used with a Frame. Read more here: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-WBO-Org...estriction
This will be our first tournament. Both our kids will be entering and are super excited to be part of this.
Just want to double check: the forge disks are not allowed? I can have the energy layer and performance tip, but not the metal piece? We have Hasbro beys. Also, are the SwitchStrikes allowed?

Awesome! Please ensure both of your kids have accounts made on the site before the tournament (and ideally have them hit the Join Tournament button at the top of the page so I know and can add them into the bracket tonight), as it will help to speed up the registration process greatly. Thank you!

Hey, not sure exactly what you mean ... You of course do need a Forge Disk with your Beyblade. The above new ruling I mentioned only pertains to the 12 Disk; it must be used with a Frame if you are using that one.
Switchstrike Beyblades are allowed.

Can we not do double elimination this tournament. It’s going to be really close to 33 players and I don’t think we will need it
Good luck if anybody wins I'm going to be happy for you

If it's over 33, we will likely do Double Elimination for the sake of brevity. Many players can't stick around all afternoon, unfortunately. And it's better to do DE and have more players stick around until the end than to do Swiss and have more players potentially drop throughout each round. But we'll see how it goes.
Where do we meet? The park the big..

We have a new Toronto Burst Record of 47 Bladers! Had loads of fun, the rain kept away until late into the Finals.
Gratz to Cam77 for placing a solid 1st place! Also a lot less minor gratz to NewType for knocking me out of 1st place contention xD
See you all in 2 weeks! https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Z-Comes-Before-A

Is my profile supposed to show the results of the tourney under burst win/loses and burst points? Does this take a while to show up? Thanks

Hey there, it will eventually yes! But it will take some time as our system was under maintenance until very recently and we have a large queue of older tournaments to work through. You can read more about it here: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-The-Wor...em-is-Back
