I don't think Curse is a must have, since it's outclassed by Tempest, Brave, Master, World, Mirage, and a lot of other things. It could be a decent addition to a collectors set though. Curse's rollers don't seem to reflect damage as good as you say, otherwise it would be GOD tier in tournaments. Not saying that this is completely wrong, but from what I've seen, it's not the most accurate.
Shouldn't Curse be just like a welcome addition or something? I think saying it's a must-have is an overstatement.
Yeah, I haven't heard nearly as many people talking about Curse being good as, say, Tempest, Brave, World, Master, ETC.

Nah, Curse is a much better defense ring than Orb and Poison, also Orb Egis is outclassed by a lot of GT and Sparking defense bases, like Bushin, Regalia and Big Bang, Tempest, etc. Imo, it should say, "but is outclassed by other layers such as Brave Valkyrie, Rage Longinus, Tempest Dragon, and more."

When was Orb ever considered good for defense in the first place?

Actually i think that it should be compared with defense rings like jet.
is the master base still competitive?

I think it is better than some of the sparking rings.
Curse is certainly not outclassed by Orb Egis and Poison. It’s compatibility with chassis like 2D make it a great pure defense option that’s definitely better for defense than Orb Egis and Poison.
I read somewhere that Curse had bad stamina. Is that true?

Wrong thread, but in certain combos it can be good. However it gets beaten by strong Sparking combos.

It's pretty round so I imagine the stamina would be fine. (I mean you can slap a stamina driver on pretty much any bey that is not an attack type and it usually works five.)

Actually i think that it should be compared with defense rings like jet.

I have jet, so I'm kind of dumb to not consider Jet as a better ring than Curse, so I'll probably change that, especially how the free-spin is probably better than the wheels.
This seems to imply that Jet is a top tier ring which it is not. The description should compare the ring to the existing best in class rings, which is not Jet. For right spin stamina it is Tempest. For right spin spin equalization it is World. Curse is a "welcome addition" instead of a "must have" because it is outclassed by the "must haves" which Jet is not.

Well, I sorta agree. Jet is actually alright. master, world, brave, and mirage definitely outclass it in Defense, but I think it has its place.

As an owner of curse, I can safely say it is the most mediocre sparking ring, sorta like ace the ace of sparking. Usable? Yes. Recommended? No.

I beg to differ.
1. I own curse and I would say that the rollers help absorb recoil very well. Even against Rage it can generally tank the shots well depending on the driver.
2. The ring increases burst resistance and is useful e.g. Curse Lc1 Bearing 2D, extremely difficult to burst.
3. Curse has proabably less than World stamina but around the same as Mirage. The reason mirage is good is due to the rubber, but the raw stamina is probably as good as Curse.
4. The Sam gimmick that increases burst resistance also increases LAD.
So at the I would say Curse is very versatile. Its probably a must have that you bring out depending on the circumstances

lol this was old, but whatever

1.the plastic rollers do nothing, even if they were bigger and protruded more, the plastic doesn't create enough friction to deflect the bey. If the rollers were bigger, rubber, and had a downward slope(for destabilization, as when the bey catches on to the rollers, it would move at an angle, destabilizing the bey and sending it to the side), then it would be useful.
2. Thats a recipe for disaster. literally any fafnir or longinus stock gt+ would kill that, and 2D makes it easily outspun. that's a heavy combo, and because of the way sparking is, essentially everything but the driver(with a double chassis) is the layer, and since 2D and Lucifer are especially heavy, slow motion bursts and self bursts would be more than common. and 2D scrapes.
3. true, but mirages rubber is a failsafe to give it stamina, making it better. no one would use mirage against a decent left, at least competitively. curse doesn't have that fail safe.
4. If ur talking about the free spin... no. just no. that literally does nothing.

these are the sparking rings worse than curse: variant, king, Burn, and maybe death and no armor inf. curse is just one of those beys who have gimmicks that don't work irl. tbh, wizard, rock, bushin, slash, and possibly grand, regalia, normal apocalypse, dread, Imperial, and heaven are worse. curse is basically a very good gt ring with a terrible gimmick. to be fair, lord and master also are/used to be good, but curse was mediocre and is now bad.

Curse gimmick does work. I used it myself in tourneys. The 2D combo is for Opp spin, and it can tie very well with popular combos. The bringing up of the chassis improves burst resistance and LAD for some drivers.

Haven’t been on in a while, but:

I also own curse. Those rollers are way too small for any effect. Don’t get me wrong, there may be contact with them, but they are too small to make a difference. Plus they don’t protrude that much so they don’t make a lot of contact. And they are so smooth there isn’t any high friction between them and the opposing bey, so even if they do make contact, they won’t roll. Also, 2D is the heaviest chassis which just happens to be a scrape beast, so burst resistance and lad aren’t its thing. I mess with curse sometimes and enjoy using like 2B with it. Would prob not use on a tournament tho, unless I lose sum stuffs
