My classes will be English 9, Physical Education, Biology 1, Geometry 1, spanish 1, either world history or world world geography (not decided), and 2-D art. Im excited to go into high school with 3 credits already. I'm planning on getting acedemic honors which I need 47 credits for, I believe. I'm excited.
Good luck with this. Congrats for getting 3 credits already.
Kai-V I do a lot of them, so I'm wondering if there's anyone else here like me.

I have to decide whether to take Debate or Latin next year, and I can't decide. Anyone wanna give me advice?
I'm taking Latin, and have been taking it since 5th grade. I would highly suggest it.
Depends on what you want...

Debate is helpful in public speaking, nearly all aspects of work, businesses, and such... Latin more in international trade.
My middle school is about to do the Spring Formal. It's April 26th. In each grade we are voting for Prince and Princess. Some of my friends are in the top 16 for votes. It will be narrowed down to 8 by Monday for boys and girls.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have decided to take Debate but study Latin by myself so I can basically learn both! Grin
I HAVE to tell you about my most stressing Tennis match last Thursday...

It was Goldsboro (Us) VS Rosewood (Our Rivals). We haven't beat them since 2009. Our one seed was gone, so we had to rearrange our lineup. Coach kept me at 5 seed because she knew I could beat that guy again (I beat him 6-3, 6-1 last meeting).

Well, it wasn't easy. He forces us to a first set tiebreaker, that I win, 7-3. After a long break, after being up 5-2, he comes back to beat me 5-7. Now time for the third set, ten-point tirebreaker. I take the lead, the he leads 1-4, then I lead 8-4, then he leads 8-9. This is where it gets good...

I force him to hit wide with a left hand forehand to the back corner to make it 9-9. I then make him hit long on a weak forehand. Then, for the match, I hit a strong first serve, he hits it to the baseline, I hit a weak backhand return, and he sends it flying. I win 7-6 (3), 5-7, 11-9. PHEW.

Luckily, I stay undefeated AND we beat Rosewood! Now, If we can win at Spring Creek and Ayden-Grifton, we can tie with Rosewood for the Conference Title...
A funny part of that was that I don't know a word of that, I don't really like sports beside Archery and Martial Arts.
Great work DefS88

Did you pull off any drop shots for points?
French is just such a hard subject to learn. Still somehow I'm getting 90's in that class, but I don't even understand the work. It's just so hard to understand. Especially with avoir and étre. I just can't seem to understand it. I feel like I'm getting free marks in that class for doing nothing (that's not that bad of a thing) but it just seems weird. Anyone else having trouble with French?

The only thing I found difficult is the conjugations of verbs in different tenses and personal pronouns. And people could find the "when do I conjugate it with avoir/etre" if they're "thinking" in English. Example, for "I am 12 years old", you would say "J'ai 12 ans" which literally in English means "I have 12 years".

Haha, exactly, it gets very confusing. Originally, I thought it would be like Spanish, but it's not even that close. And the fact that French has so many rules you have to follow by in order to translate is so hard. It just ends up in me using Google Translate. XD
I never found it that tough...though besides all the conjugating and the basics, we didn't learn much more.
Just thought I would pop on after almost a year out. Good to see the forum is still very active!
Well done to the mods?

Edit: one year absence to date in two days.

Hey, are you still interested in Beyblade ? London could use your presence.

Things are almost just beginning, hah.

Unfortunately I definitely wouldn't be able to do anything fun for the next few months due to the pain of exams.

We'll see if i'm interested in Zero G and what not in July Grin

Depends on what "course"/ type of French you're taking. Core French is relatively easy in comparison to French Immersion where its not only a subject a day in French but some other subjects are taught in French too (like Science) to give you a broader experience.
I completely forgot!

A week ago marked my 1 year anniversary on the WBO! I am completely happy I found this place though, haha.
I think I'm done with beyblade. Winning a qualifier was my only chance to getting to beyblade revolution and I didn't win. I might still do beydays but I think I'm done after that
Is it ironic that I'm a Cancer and my hand is larger than my face?
That was what I was refering to and I don't let that happen.
Just realized that it's already almost May. School year's passing by so fast.

lol that's true... Perhaps for you guys you are going to the next grade, however I might be repeating 9th grade due to my f in math and bio... I actually have a d in math but the lauds passed a law to wipe out that grade...
Welp, although we made it to regionals, are season is over. We lost 6-3 to Voyager Academy in Durham to end our season. Our one seed, who is a Senior, kind took it pretty hard, but hey, I felt good this season, and I can't wait for the next...
