Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST

(May. 18, 2015  9:59 PM)Tri Wrote: So I'm kinda curious … any of you having end of the school year jitters? I sure as hell am. It's not because my grades are bad or anything (besides my Spanish grade Tired), it's just that I am in disbelief I am going to be in 11th grade, Junior year. I get my liscense in three weeks also. I'm growing up too fast as my mom would say. (Heck I'm in disbelief I'll be 17, and that's not for a whole 7 months!)

If I recall correctly, the classes I had chosen for next year are Chemistry, French, Calculus, English 11, Show Choir, US History, and Guitar. I'm just sittinf here thinking in exactly one year from this moment, I will have less than a week until I am a senior .-.

I need to stop.
Im in 6th grade, I can not relate to this in the slightest. XD
There were three things everyone told me about high school. It would be the best time of my life (lies!), it would be a nightmare (since transferring schools it's gotten much better, but freshman year was bad), and it would go by in a flash. The last one is true. It seems like just yesterday I was feeling nauseous pulling up to my new high school and questioning my decision to transfer. I'm glad I did, but that's not the point. In about two weeks, I'm gonna be a senior, and that's really scary, because I still feel like I'm in 8th grade sometimes, haha.

For all you youngins out there, high school does go by fast, and that can be a good or bad thing, but just know that it does.
Even though im not in school now, i agree, it feels like the other day i was waking up to put on my uniform for the first time for freshman year, now i have people who think im 20 and offering me drinks, its wierd cause i still watch the same cartoons
Hm, in my case, I have been out of university for two years already, actually probably exactly on the 19th now that I think about it, and it seems like it was ages ago hah. However, in my case, I am quite glad I am now done with school and will only return to do extra classes if I so wish to.
Here we go with something truly random:

I just found this video and it´s (at least in my opinion) so incredibly funny, because she´s making it worse and worse, that I just had to share it. XD

Oh god. Maybe she's from North America, and she don't know how to park in an asian car XD
Dude i really didnt know whether i should be angry or just laugh during that video, man this is why im worried to tune a car, someone like that might ruin all the progress
Ugh, It's finals and I'm sick. I need to stay home but I really can't. At least it's only two days left.
So if we're on the topic of school/graduation, I will be graduating high school in a few weeks and going off to college. I'll be in a computer science/programming course that according to the school gives about 5 hours of work each day, on top of all the other core classes I'd have to take throughout the week. I was worried that the workload would be too much, so some of the professors suggested I defer for a year and attend a community/technical college so I could get some of the required entry level course credits ahead of time. However, my parents won't let me defer because they think I'm "prepared" for the workload.

Does anyone here have some ideas on how I might convince them otherwise, because I'm honestly a lot less prepared than they say I am. Sorry if this post breaks forum rules, a moderator (preferably one that wasn't almost banned) can delete this if they find it inappropriate.
Just finished Freshman year of High School. Heh.

High School is nowhere NEAR the best time of your life, it's the worst, if you start your first year, EVERYONE of those boneheaded worthless Neanderthal rotten miserable scumbags want to make you feel as miserable as possible, they are so cruel, at least in College the students are way nicer and way more mature. I'm serious it's a huge improvement in behaviour, I would rather have Primary School than High School ever again!

Honestly, high school wasn't that bad for me. I got kicked out of choir and lost friends but I ended up not caring and I'm fine now.
It gets better over the years but "best years of your life"? I don't think so, I rather be a kid and play with toys and games and make up silly stories.
That's so weird, I really love High School for the most part, however Sophomore year wasn't as good as Freshman year.

I've been having tons of fun, and I've had a lot of things going for me, so that's nice!

That's literally my life right now.
Anyone that says any years are best are liars, something negative is always around the corner.
I wish I had your experiences...

You just have to always make time for what you enjoy.
For me high school was bad because of the boring work, i didnt feel like having read alongs and doing arts and craft projects in classes like english and history, but my worst experiences were in middle school, i actually made real friends in high school and i was actually intelligent enough to not be over powered by teachers verbally. Now im really happy though because not that im not in school ive met people who treat as a peer no matter my age and im able study what i want. I guess my point is, school sucks.
Yah, my sophomore year and junior year (hopefully my senior year too) have been good, I can't complain. I just feel really out of place. My grade school was sheltered, so it was a huge wake up call when I heard people talking about drugs and alcohol and the like, and doing so without shame. And I was also introduced to a larger student body, so there were inevitably people (probably the same people doing drugs) who annoyed me extremely. I have a low-tolerance level for people in general, and high school is not the place to escape from that.

That being said, I don't have high hopes for college, unless I can get into a non-party school. One where people actually care about their future, not being "young and wild and free" and "living in the moment" or whatever.

That awkward moment you find out StormScorpio1 & Primus are your cousins.
Dude seriously? I had the same experience when HolyPhoenix5 was my sister.
