I have to disagree. I started blading at the beginning of the burst gen, but from what I've seen, metal was more popular and received more recognition than burst. There were multiple Beyblade news articles, podcast references, etc. during that time. Metal is were Beyblade recognition peaked, or at least so far.

Most people got into Beyblade during MFB and I would rather go back to MFB then Burst. The Zero-g stadium was pretty fun and the 4D system was much more creative than Sparking.

MFB was definitely a cool generation of Beyblade, and while the Beyblades and systems are cool, I can’t deny that the Burst Beyblades look better in terms of looks than any other previous generation of Beyblade. Burst has also gotten to the point where Burst Beys can beat MFB beys. MFB also probably had the better anime, although I’d have to actually continue watching it to fully form my opinion on that.

MFB was definitely a cool generation of Beyblade, and while the Beyblades and systems are cool, I can’t deny that the Burst Beyblades look better in terms of looks than any other previous generation of Beyblade. Burst has also gotten to the point where Burst Beys can beat MFB beys. MFB also probably had the better anime, although I’d have to actually continue watching it to fully form my opinion on that.

I always knew that Burst beys would reach the point where they would be equal (although they can’t beat a large portion of MFB beys they can still beat a couple of them). I think that the true appeal of MFB over Burst was the anime. In Burst you can only feel close towards an certain section of characters. Also more people liked metal due to the satisfying sound they make when they clash.
