Agreed. They would be very costly and hard to control precisely, but it still sounds cool.

Such a thing actually exists. You can buy these R/C helicopters which have IR lasers on them, and after being "hit" by the other helicopter's laser it will crash-land itself as if it were shot down.

You can also buy helicopters with spring-fired missiles- I have a few :3
I wish they brought back the RC system that Plastics had. So much more fun then the newer ones.
Everyone likes my idea on 'Beycoptors'? Huh I may be a genius Smile

It's been done, as said before...
I wouldn't be surprised if it happened though..
Hasbro are spinoff maniacs.
There's nothing wrong with that, it's just they need to make good spinoffs.

BeyWheelz was good to be honest.
BeyWarriors is okay too, it's a top so that's dandy.
Raiderz can go burn in a fire >_>
I pretty much agree. Beywarriors I didn't really get into, because they were more expensive than beyblades if I remember correctly, plus they really didn't spin long at all, so I got bored of them kinda quickly.

They're cool for kids though.
Kinda weird though /:

Fighting helicopters? When? Also in Miss Karat's defense, Beywheelz were similar to Flywheelz (Don't quote me on that, I'm not positive)
So after chatting with TRU for a bit this morning, they've told me the reason they're stores are out of Beyblades, is the Shogun Steel Line has been "discontinued" (they told me similar to the other lines, like Masters, Fury, etc.). I brought up Legends; they said they didn't have any specific information on it (which they could and have to tell the public otherwise), but, it could certainly be coming soon, being the reason the current line is not being produced anymore. Raiderz have been discontied, as well... I'd take this information with like 60-70% of consciousness, since at times, she really didn't know what she was talking about.

So basically, it's not too good news... or bad news.

We'll just have to keep our eyes peeled for Legends, really.

MAJOR EDIT: I'm talking to Hasbro; apparently nothing is discontinued.
Oh, cool, thank you for taking the time to call.

It is weird that they would use the term "discontinued", but it is definitely certain that each wave of product stops getting produced maximum one year after it got out, even in Japan, otherwise the work and staff in the factory needed would be astronomous in a long-term series.

If they stopped both BeyRaiderz and Shogun Steel and that Hasbro still wants to make Beyblade an evergreen toyline, then we can expect at least BeyRaiderz/Warriors Cyborg or whatever, which seemed rather cool from the screenshot we recently got. Beyblades Legends also did not seem like it had to be excluded, so nice ...

From Hasbro:
They said Toys R Us's in NA are not ordering new shipments, but no products have been canceled. They are still being sold/in production, for the time being.

They were reluctant to talk about Legends, but assured me Beyblade is not going anywhere, for the time being.

As of now, I'd trust Hasbro a bit more, but still consider TRU's feedback.
"Not going anywhere" as in not going to the trash, right ?

It is really odd then that Toys "R" Us would be the ones who stopped ordering new shipments ...

Yeah, haha. They meant that right now, it's here to stay.

I thought so myself, which slightly makes me reconsider the response from them over Hasbro's, but I doubt Hasbro would lie flat-out. Toys R Us was also reluctant to talk about Legends, so for all we know, they're saving shelf space for it.

This does remind me of when I asked Spin Master about Redakai's future, which they said was not discontinued, yet the brand died about 2 months later. I doubt this is the same situation, though- as Redakai never sold well, at all, unlike Beyblade, which has had a great history.
BeyBlade Legends is basically a way for everyone to stock up on Rubber Flats xD
Leone19, I'm glad you got THAT much info out of Hasbro. My LitzkyPR rep has been silent, and not even responding to emails lately.

EDIT: Of course, now I hear from her. Not great news.

Quote:Hi Robert,

The Beyblade line is not getting a large PR push this year, which is why I haven’t reached out with news. I will connect with the team to see if we have any images to share.

Thanks,
Elise
I wouldn't necessarily say its horrible news, other than Hasbro obviously has higher priorities for bigger brands (Transformers: Age of Extinction, Amazing Spiderman 2, etc.) this year.

While they are keeping us in the shadows, there has to be something.
They're a company primarily, whose goal is to make money. It's sounding like Beyblade isn't very profitable anymore, considering most of the userbase who played have either a.) grown up or b.) lost interest. Those combined, don't spell $$$ to them, so I'm not very hopeful for another series. Maybe after a few years yeah, but I doubt anything for later this year. Most of the time they are just rebranding and rereleasing what's already been out in Japan for a while, and this time, they don't have that luxury. They would have to use more resources and money to produce their own line of Beyblades.

You're most likely correct.
A comeback will make far more money; rather then constant releases over tons of years.
So I talked to TRU again this morning and told them what Hasbro told me, this time, the employee told me that they are not discontinued and the other employees were trying to tell me TRU is just not carrying them anymore. I asked why and they told me it is probably because of a new version coming out. I mentioned Legends at that point and she said it could definitely and probably be because of Legends, although they have no details on the line itself (thanks, Hasbro).

This employee was a bit more helpful than previous ones but we're still in the shadows as of what exactly is going on.
So apparently zankye got a hold of beyblade legends.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-ebddfkLaE

its a large video so just skim through it to see the beyblades.
Something has happened since the last time I watched a Zankye video and his voice is now magically lower.
So...legends is just MFB. Expected, but still disappointing. Unfortunately I have most of these, but hey, I could always use another Hell Kerbecs.

Edit: Scrolling through The Beyblade Shop's T-Shirts & how the hell does he have a shirt they haven't even released yet?

Perhaps puberty? And I don't mind the rereleased MFB since I need duplicates nowadays and its always great to get the chance to stock up on RFs and BD145s.
Hey. I knew this would basically be Hasbro's blessing of saying 'Here, have more Rubber Flats Wink'
