It's time for Boring Tournament! One bey per match! B-09 Standard stadiums! No interesting rules variations or oddities! Very basic Burst Standard Beyblade! Swiss or Round Robin first stage based on registrants, and Deck Format Finals!

Format: The format for this event is Single Bey, 1on1. Please read the Burst Standard rulebook prior to confirming your attendance to ensure that you or your child have the appropriate equipment to compete. Please. I'm begging you, please read it in any capacity.

Host: DeceasedCrab!

Location: This event will be held outdoors at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Please note the address in the description as the park itself is quite large and typing the park name into Google Maps may lead you in the wrong direction. Look at the picture for guidance.

[Image: map.png]

Time: As the tournament will start promptly at 12:00pm, please plan to arrive around 11:00am when registration will begin. Registration will close at 11:45am. Confirming your attendance on the WBO event page does not substitute for registration at the venue.

If you know in advance that you will be late, please post in this thread or contact someone at the event and depending on the circumstances we can perhaps still include you if we know you will arrive soon.

Participants: There will be a 64 person Cap for participants. Why not? It's pick 1v1, it can't be that much of a problem. It'll probably be less than that.

COVID-19 Precautions READ THIS BEFORE CONFIRMING YOUR ATTENDANCE:
This event will cooperate with Montgomery County Reopening Guidelines, as well as the WBO Covid-19 Guidelines effective from last year. But most of you are going to be unmasked, potentially get sick, and I can't stop you! You're so silly, bladers.

Tournament Prizes: Will be given to the top 3 players after the finals have been completed. Prize pool will include Metal Grips for a TT launcher, a Greatest Raphael, and a $30 Gift Card to Four-Gaming.

Other Information:

Please come prepared. It is helpful for both hosts and judges if all participants bring at least one Takara Tomy or Hasbro-manufactured Beyblade of their own and more than one launcher when possible. Additionally, parents of children under the age of 13 must be present for the duration of the event, as tournament end times can be difficult to estimate, and we would hate for someone to be left behind once it is over.

Be aware of your belongings. We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

Gonna be an hour drive, but my calendar's clear Tongue_out See y'all there!

So let's talk weather! The current outlook for Saturday is rain! Actually the outlook between Wednesday and Saturday is rain. It might not rain! But it might rain. Anyway, if it rains, we're still doing the tournament. Unless it's a severe thunderstorm, the tournament is being held as scheduled. The tournament location has a pavilion to keep out the rain, and it won't be the first time I bladed there in the rain.

Until then, prepare for Boring Tournament by:
* Reading appliance manuals
* Digging through election literature
* Jumping into Light Fierce
* Planking
* Flossing (either)
* Sleeping

You too can capture the spirit of Boring Tournament, and place it in a Pokeball, and never ever open it.

This is the Boring Tournament weather forecast! Your Saturday forecast calls... for rain! It may rain! Prepare for this!

What does rain mean for you?
* Wet socks
* Water from sky
* We're playing under a pavilion so we probably won't be rained on
* Lower turnout
* Fewer non-beybladers in park
* Plants get the delicious water they need

The tournament will continue on as scheduled! If you are not water soluble, perhaps you too can attend!

You fool, plants crave BRAWNDO it has electrolytes and that is what plants crave
Okay folks, it's DEFINITELY going to rain tomorrow. It's a pavilion, but there is the chance of getting rained on. If you or your parents aren't okay with that, it's alright, I understand. There are 2 tournaments on Sunday so you might want to go for that maybe, less rain.

But... I'm still holding this tournament! Anyone who wishes to join me in the park in the rain may do so. There will be Beyblade, and it can't be all THAT boring can it?

Still hosting today! Some areas in Montgomery County have flood Warnings, not Watches, but I don't think Silver Spring is one of them. I believe the affected area is more to the west.

Participation is optional, not mandatory, so if you're uncomfortable driving or playing in these conditions, I completely understand. There are perhaps rainless tournaments in the same location tomorrow, albeit at different times with different formats. The forecast I saw predicts a lower chance of rain around tournament time, and we have a covered pavilion.

At least it'll be cooler than it has been?
It looks like a family set up for a picnic between the two picnic tables we normally use. Once more people get here we'll set up more beystadiums. Don't know how long they'll be here. The should be space enough between the two picnic tables left.

Currently just a light drizzle of rain.
Sorry, I will not be able to attend today.

I hope everyone had fun today at Boring Tournament! 1st place was JCMakeEmBurst, 2nd was The Supreme One, and third was CrisisCrusher07. Please send me the combos that earned you points in first stage and in deck format. Tournament report is forthcoming, and then I have to process all these matches.

It certainly wasn't boring.

The spreadsheet is going to be late, I... well, I've seemingly been IP banned from Challonge.
Challonge decided to un-ban me. I should be able to work on the spreadsheet in the next few days, once everything calms down a bit.
My apologies for the delay. Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing
