Participant Cap: 250 Players
Due to the limited amount of time available at Brooklyn Zoo (the organizers have until 6PM to finish), it has been decided to impose a participant cap on this event of 250 to ensure that the first stage at least can be successfully completed.

What this means is that anybody who is signed up on this thread (by hitting the "Join Tournament" button at the top of the page after logging in) up to the first 250 registered users will be given priority during registration to participate in the event.

If you do not sign up on this thread, it is possible you may not be able to participate in the tournament itself if enough of the participants signed up on this event page attend. But you will still be welcome to play in free play and meet the participating Youtubers!

If needed, the final stage will take place at Cooper Park just north of the venue. Details for this will be discussed with finalists when the time comes if it is needed.

We thank everyone for their incredible support of this event and for their understanding!

MUST READ: One Page Rules Overview
We have prepared an one-page rules overview document for this event. If you are planning to attend, you will be required to be familiar with all of the information within it:

A copy of this sheet will be given to each participant as they enter the venue, but we encourage you to familiarize yourselves with it now.

Tournament Time: Tournament Registration will be from 10:00AM – 11:15AM. Players who arrive after 11:15AM cannot join the tournament, but are welcome to participate in free play (which will run until 6PM). We will be starting the tournament at 11:30AM. It would be appreciated, however, if attendees would be there by at least 11:00AM earlier. We'd like to get the tournament done as soon as possible so please try to come on time. If you come late you will not be able to play.

Entry Fees: Tournament entry will cost $10 dollars a person ($5 WBO Entry Fee, $5 Brooklyn Zoo Venue Fee). If you have a Blader Passport however, entry will be only $5. The Blader Passport grants you entrance to all WBO tournaments for an entire year. How cool is that! As you know it allows you to enter any tournament for the next year without paying the fee, as well as giving you the chance to participate in whatever contests or giveaways the WBO may offer.

Side Note: Please, PLEASE, PLEASE keep a hold on each and every part you own. We'd like to avoid thefts of all types, from Beyblades to game systems and laptops. Keep all your personal belongings close to your person at all times; do not leave them hanging around, as they are YOUR responsibility, and the tournament staff cannot be held liable for thefts.

Have your Account page open during registration. Participants being registered to the tournament must login to their accounts on any device able to access the profile page prior to registration in order to prove they are the account owner and to ensure their username is accurately transcribed. Alternatively, you can bring a printed copy of your account page to show the tournament host during registration.

All players must arrive on-time: If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

For Parents: Depending on the turnout, expected to be more than 200 players this time around it may take up to 7 hours to complete this tournament. Please clear your entire schedule for this tournament don't expect it to be a short run tournament. If unable we advise them to join just for free play for a couple hours. As a reminder leaving the tournament early means your child will end up losing all his matches to the remainder of the matches.

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

Is it me, or does it seem like these tournaments get larger every month?

Agree, it's getting larger every time. From JZBZG to now, all tournaments are having increasing no. Of participants.

I would love to come to this event, and living in Ohio I'm only like a four hour drive away, but I work too much and can't get the weekend off to go. Such a bummer.

That would be an illegal modification and goes against WBO tournament rules. Anyone caught will face dire repercussions ^_^
*We actually do random checks on parts and launchers for tightness, string length etc. at many of our tournaments. This Tourney will be no exception ;)
I'll be there and ready to brawl
Can you use more than one beyblade?

Yes of course. You can use as many as you like if you have more, but if you get to the finals, you get to make a deck of 3 beyblades to use during that period of the event.

When my string louncher broke and me and my dad took it apart and the string coil complietly unwound and I had no choise but to tighten it to get it back together.

I also resently had my master kit hasbro louncher s string snap and I replaced it with the string from the duel threat louncher. Is that ok?
I would come but I live 12 hours away

Only same parts may be swapped to fix launchers. The dual threat launcher and master kit launcher would have different coil tensions as well as different cord lengths, if I'm not mistaken. If that is the case, it would be an illegal modification and not allowed for WBO tournament use.

I made sure to tighten them to the same length. I think they are the same string length but there might be a 2 inch difference.

Btw, should I get the beylouncher lr or 1 louncher for each direction?

You may not use this launcher in an official WBO Tournament. I am sure someone will lend you a legit one to use Joyful_3
