Participant Cap: 250 Players
Due to the limited amount of time available at Brooklyn Zoo (the organizers have until 6PM to finish), it has been decided to impose a participant cap on this event of 250 to ensure that the first stage at least can be successfully completed.

What this means is that anybody who is signed up on this thread (by hitting the "Join Tournament" button at the top of the page after logging in) up to the first 250 registered users will be given priority during registration to participate in the event.

If you do not sign up on this thread, it is possible you may not be able to participate in the tournament itself if enough of the participants signed up on this event page attend. But you will still be welcome to play in free play and meet the participating Youtubers!

If needed, the final stage will take place at Cooper Park just north of the venue. Details for this will be discussed with finalists when the time comes if it is needed.

We thank everyone for their incredible support of this event and for their understanding!

MUST READ: One Page Rules Overview
We have prepared an one-page rules overview document for this event. If you are planning to attend, you will be required to be familiar with all of the information within it:

A copy of this sheet will be given to each participant as they enter the venue, but we encourage you to familiarize yourselves with it now.

Tournament Time: Tournament Registration will be from 10:00AM – 11:15AM. Players who arrive after 11:15AM cannot join the tournament, but are welcome to participate in free play (which will run until 6PM). We will be starting the tournament at 11:30AM. It would be appreciated, however, if attendees would be there by at least 11:00AM earlier. We'd like to get the tournament done as soon as possible so please try to come on time. If you come late you will not be able to play.

Entry Fees: Tournament entry will cost $10 dollars a person ($5 WBO Entry Fee, $5 Brooklyn Zoo Venue Fee). If you have a Blader Passport however, entry will be only $5. The Blader Passport grants you entrance to all WBO tournaments for an entire year. How cool is that! As you know it allows you to enter any tournament for the next year without paying the fee, as well as giving you the chance to participate in whatever contests or giveaways the WBO may offer.

Side Note: Please, PLEASE, PLEASE keep a hold on each and every part you own. We'd like to avoid thefts of all types, from Beyblades to game systems and laptops. Keep all your personal belongings close to your person at all times; do not leave them hanging around, as they are YOUR responsibility, and the tournament staff cannot be held liable for thefts.

Have your Account page open during registration. Participants being registered to the tournament must login to their accounts on any device able to access the profile page prior to registration in order to prove they are the account owner and to ensure their username is accurately transcribed. Alternatively, you can bring a printed copy of your account page to show the tournament host during registration.

All players must arrive on-time: If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

For Parents: Depending on the turnout, expected to be more than 200 players this time around it may take up to 7 hours to complete this tournament. Please clear your entire schedule for this tournament don't expect it to be a short run tournament. If unable we advise them to join just for free play for a couple hours. As a reminder leaving the tournament early means your child will end up losing all his matches to the remainder of the matches.

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called

In an official event yes, the clips must be attached to the stadium.
Your friend may come to the event. If he is unable to make an account by himself, we will make one for him then and there and he may participate ^_^

Actually it a choice between clips or tighten down with tape.

There is no such option in the Rule Book.

If it isn't in the rule book or stating that isn't allowed is totally fine. I did it to my stadiums when I was missing clips. And it's actually much better in terms of securement without all the shakiness from the clips.
Hey @[Yami], the clips are required. If it wasn't required, it would be stated (like we state it's okay to use a BeyLauncher with a broken handle). The 'shakiness' is an inherent part of the design, so by taping it down to remove that you are altering the performance of the stadium.

It like saying taping down a BB-10 to keep the stadium in place is completely fine to you guys. But that's also considering altering the performance of the stadium as well. Clips are meant to keep the stadium together and prevent the shakiness if possible.

We have never said taping down a BB-10 is fine at a WBO event. That would go against the Rules we have in place. The rules are in place to keep the vast community events as a whole on an even play setting.
As @[Kei] mentioned in his post, clips keep the stadium together. The shakiness is inherent, taping B-33 stadium to stop the shakiness alters the performance of it.
I agree, taping the stadium to the floor has a crazy impact on battles (it mostly benefits attack types as the hits no longer get nullified by the moving stadium). As far as taping the base plastic and top plastic together... I don't really see it being that big of a deal aside from some minor collisions with that top plastic being a bit more bouncy, but obviously with that being said, it's wubo and anything that alters performance slightly is BANNED o double u o
Maybe taping down the stadium itself to keep it in place is something we can consider, but as OldSchool mentioned we also care about striving for an even playing field across all of our events. Allowing stadiums to be taped down means that there will be another performance related variable from event to event depending on whether an organizer is able or wanting to do that or not.

But doing anything to secure the stadium cover to the stadium floor other than using clips is illegal because that wasn't the intended method of construction and it hasn't been outlined our rules as being permitted. It would be hard to regulate because we can't predict the exact difference between that and using the clips. By enforcing the use of clips, we can be sure that conditions are the same for everyone.
I can't wait
Since it’s going to be a long day, everyone should bring a snack!

Good suggestion. None of us should battle on empty stomachs, especially on a long event like this.
I need to speak to someone my son want to attend
