Beyblade East 2022 Day 0: HMS Format
Forestville, MD HMS Format Unranked
6:00 PM on 08/26/2022
Get ready for the biggest MFB tournament weekend of the Burst era! To kick off the weekend for those who arrive early, we'll be hosting two evening events on Friday for our non-MFB formats. Full weekend event thread coming soon.
Host: The Supreme One
Format: The format for this event is the old-school HMS system. Please read the HMS rulebook prior to confirming your attendance to ensure that you or your child have the appropriate equipment to compete. Legal parts / launchers may be shared between participants, but will not be lent out by event staff.
Location: Mike Nightwing has graciously offered up the Nightwing Gaming Loft so we can hold this event rain or shine! All tournament participants can expect to pay a $5 venue fee per day in exchange for his time.
Time: As the tournament will start promptly at 6:00pm, please plan to arrive around 5:30pm when registration will begin. Registration will close at 5:50pm. Confirming your attendance on the WBO event page does not substitute for registration at the venue.
Attendees: TSO, ICrazyEater, DeceasedCrab, Yami, Garishi, Angry Face, Beymaster, Mike Nightwing, LazerBeamz, Roh'Bel, Mr. Palazzo, Mr Pokee, Broyeeto, Popeeto, LJ-Blader, Red Ninja
Other Information:
Please come prepared. It is helpful for both hosts and judges if all participants bring at least one Takara Tomy or Hasbro-manufactured Beyblade of their own and more than one launcher when possible. Additionally, parents of children under the age of 13 must be present for the duration of the event, as tournament end times can be difficult to estimate, and we would hate for someone to be left behind once it is over.
Be aware of your belongings. We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!
All players must arrive on-time. The tournament will begin no later than 6:00 PM and is expected to run for about 2 hours, though if there is a large turnout it may take longer. Please plan accordingly. If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON JOINING THIS TOURNAMENT
Hi all, we have some issues with registration for HMS events (and only HMS events)! As such, the Join button doesn't actually work right and won't get you into the tournament list.
As such to join this tournament, please post in the thread to say you will be attending.
Apologies for the inconvenience, and please enjoy this wonderful format - perhaps the most exciting and enjoyable to play format Beyblade has ever had.
If nothing else, this is how we ran our registration back in the days where HMS was the second most recent series, so consider this part of an authentic historical experience.
