Your opinion about burst series

Actually Beyblade Burst stay with us for five years when we grow up and is going to start the other half decade.

The addition of classic content is the perfect kickoff to what promises to be a comprehensive and coordinated campaign of fresh content and bold new consumer products that will take BEYBLADE into its third decade from https://www.anbmedia.com/news/licensing-...e-in-2021/.

Dragon isn’t really anything special, it’s just Dragon. Ragnaruk is generally much cooler and more unheard of.

Of course he will not

For the most part, I felt that the Burst animes have just meandered in being meh-okay. The show's writing overall feels a little bit too basic for my tastes. It could either be because Burst is meant to be targeted to younger audiences compared to even the precious gen, or I've just started outgrowing things a bit more as I grow older.

Burst kept things grounded and less in the "over the top" direction... until the God series onwards, then it started including really weird and possibly supernatural element to the series. Red Eye's dark aura, dark resonance, gold/dark turbo, flare. A lot of it isn't explained, or explained well, unless it relies on the blader spirit carp that MFB gets routinely made fun of for. I feel it's unnecessary to add these to what's meant to be down to earth, yet it also feels like it doesn't go all the way. Again, it kinda just meanders. I know, there's gotta be some flashy colours and effects to keep it interesting, but some type of explanation for some, instead of just accepting it happens would be nice. Otherwise, the plots tend to be too basic for my taste, with the exception of maaaaybe God and Chouzetsu. Please don't tell me that "it's a toyetic anime, who cares", as you just completely acknowledge it as a full on commercial at that point, and not a show.

The biggest problem I have with are the characters overall.

First of, there's too many superfluous characters who do absolutely nothing at all, but be cheerleaders. If you thought Hilary was bad... she still is... but some of these characters do just as little as she does. Ranjiro's club members, the Asahi brother's friends, Honey Guten, Ichika etc.

Most of the bladers with official beys that do show up only ever show up for their own season. I've said this before and I'll say it again, I hate that feeling of disconnect between seasons. Besides God showing cameos of the first season cast, the other seasons almost never acknowledge the existence of the supporting cast from the previous. For example, where is Joshua? Ruwei? Ghasem? Dr Evel? Kyle? Joe? Blind? Where are they? Not even a brief cameo? No mention of some of them? See, the old gen and MFB would return the supporting cast in some way, even just as cameos or minor speaking role, it at least felt they still existed, and didn't just get Thanos snapped after each season finales. I'm not expecting them all to be there, but we need more than just the big super duper focused ones to return. Even still, no Phi, no Gwynn, no Arthur.

As for the main casts... even they can get forgotten after their debut series. Amane at least got a small cameo in Sparking, but where's Fubuki and Souh? Kensuke? Cuza? Hell, where's Delta now? I know he's in the manga, but he's not in the anime? Sparking isn't done so I'll grant that at least. What would help is if the Burst anime didn't just keep making "main character of the week" for each season, can we stick to one for at least two seasons? It doesn't help that the characterization starts lacking for later ones. While Aiga did get very good character growth that felt natural, Drum barely develops, if at all, and Hyuga is the most cookie cutter main character ever. Hikaru was okay, but because Sparking has to focus on two brothers and taking so much time, it's not good enough in my opinion. The two don't have much together besides the typical brother squabble for who battles first. Their season already needs to deal with a reduced duration too, by the way.

On a positive note though, the animation looks good, very crisp and colourful. Yes I know it's the anime is obviously newer than the others, but even just art style wise, Burst's art style is definitely my favourite of any Beyblade seasons. While the beys moved a bit weirdly in Season 1, it got way better from God onwards.

It's overall an okay ride, and has fun moments. However I feel that the writing is very lacking, even for a kids show, and the character department needs serious work.

NOTE: This is ONLY for the anime, not the manga.
I started watching Beyblade for the first time on YouTube, still in the first season of Burst, I really like this series, but unfortunately, as time went on I ended up with a very big detachment, recently with the arrival of Sparking, I came to think that it was because I had grown up and no longer had the same interest in the series, although I still love Pokémon and I’m watching Bottleman and I really like it, which shows that it’s not that, Beyblade Burst has a plot that is used in ALL seasons, that's been bothering me a lot, it just doesn't impress me anymore, I'm really sad about it, because depending on how the sixth season is, I might end up dropping Beyblade...
i never watched burts or evolution because at the time turbo was out, i watched turbo on netflix and and watching rise at the moment. I have watched a few episodes of burst and evo but none of them gave me the excitement that turbo and rise give me. I like how in turbo and rise they have evil characters.

Yeah, Kurenai is crimson in Japanese and Spriggan is red/crimson, Shirosagijo has Shiro(i) which is white in Japanese referencing Lui's title the White Tyrant/White Dragon King, Akaba has Aka which is red in Japanese and Achilles is red as well.

The beyblade all are base on Myth motif.
The Japanese characters have a colour in their names.
The Big bad bladers Phi, Arthur and Lane.

In Gachi, it just really pushed that supernatural aspect. I'm pretty sure it confirmed that Burst's universe has talking avatars. It wasn't used in Sparking which is weird, not even Drum. I feel if Burst is going to go supernatural or surreal, it should be explained where it came from, or perhaps go all the way.

I don't recall every Japanese character having the colour of their names but I guess it's okay? Same with them having names the same first letter as their beys, it's something I can accept.

Phi is an entertaining and threatening villain, but his motivation is beyond petty and miniscule. And the logic he has is, "I didn't get the bey I wanted, now I'll destroy the other bladers, then I'll destroy the bey I wanted to make a new one". Having a new bey using the remains of the ones he wanted is cool, but then he wants to destroy other bladers anyway? I dunno. I do like Phi, but his motivation needs work.

Arthur is also pretty entertaining, but his concept is pretty over the top. It's not too bad, he wanted to start a new beyblade association that he feels is better, and likely because he was a massive elitist. However, his character is very flat and doesn't have much backstory.

Lane has entertaining moments and started off cool, but then he becomes another generic "bey breaker baddie of the week". His backstory with Shu is okay, but he's overall a bit boring and repetitive, I feel nothing about him truly changed from his debut appearances to right now.
Actually I appreciate that TT can find so much myth motif in beyblade burst.

My feeling of the setting that
The avatar can speek, some of. Interesting.

The beyblade all are base on Myth motif.
Yeah, a new knowledge of the mystic world, because many of them is not usually heard or I have lack of knowledge, though some names or avatar appear before in the previous series like Pegasus. Some motive might let people feel dark due to their religion as they use demons, end of the world, Jesus thrusting spear. And they use tree with event and objects as the motif is very extraordinary, as the beyblade in myth usually represents a living like beasts, heroes or gods. Some of the motif is very fresh as the names are unexpected, you did not know what will be the next motif until they release it. Now have 50 names in the anime, I wonder what will be the next name in anime.

The Japanese characters have a colour in their names.
A new element.

The Big bad bladers Phi, Arthur and Lane.
I have not seen a black eye white blader like Phi when he corrupted, the anime just show Arthur's rebellious, uppity, dark personality with a lame situation and no reason background to take over, Crazy Lane is just to hateful to others and just want to end their career.
I dont got much to say about burst but uh Sparking has been dissapointing quite lately

i second this.
Some team tag battle might be worst, but I rather like the raging tempest.
I also prefer more single vs single match.
Free De La Hoja has another meaning to me. "Free" is english, "De La Hoja" is spanish. Mix them and you can get "Free from joy" or "Joy-Free", basically somebody who's always sad and not satisfied with life in general. If i think about the character himself that definition fits him quite well since Free often looks like he's annoyied and lonely, as sensitive as a rock.
