Hey Everyone!

After our Burst Standard tournament, @[Yami], @[Sniper], and I are hosting a Burst Classic tournament. Crazy, right?? But we really want to gauge the interest in Burst Classic for the area. We hope you can join us in making this a trend!

Our current tournament date is Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at Kings Games for a Beyblade Burst Classic Format tournament!

Important Information:

1. Tournament Registration begins at 4:00pm.

Please plan to arrive at Kings Games before registration starts. The later you arrive, the longer it will take to start the tournament.

2. The Tournament begins at 4:30pm.

You will not be able to register after 4:30pm. Even if you are joined to this tournament on this thread, if you are not registered by 4:30pm or arrive after 4:30pm we will be unable to fit you into the bracket.

Tournament System:

Depending on the number of participants we will use one of the following systems to run the first stage of this tournament:

Swiss (17 - 32 Players):
Bladers play 5 rounds. After the first round, bladers are paired based on their match history. Bladers with the highest records face each other, then the second-highest, etc. The top eight players advance to the final stage.

Double Elimination (33+ Players):
In Double Elimination, there are two brackets: the Winners Bracket and Losers Bracket. After losing once, Bladers are sent to the Losers Bracket. If they lose for a second time, they are eliminated from the event. Once both brackets have been completed, the top eight players (top four from the Winners Bracket, top four from the Losers Bracket) advance to the final stage.

There is a chance I might make it to this. Looks like it's right next to a Q train stop. If I'm in NY on that day, and there's a slim chance I might be, I'll try to make it.
As always, here's the Burst Classic banned/permitted parts list. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...Nl7SDf5xXQ
I will make it and we are able to use Dual layers right?

Glad you can make it @[NewRocChampion1]! You are able to use most Single and Dual Layers, as well as most core disks and drivers. For more specific info, please refer to the list above and the rulebook for Burst Classic. Thanks.
Hi Lazarbeamz this is my second tournament thanks for hosting one in Brooklyn

No problem @[Nik P.] This tournament is a Burst Classic Tournament. It's a different from my last one and has a different ruleset. Not all beyblades will be allowed. If you are looking for a tournament that is similar to my last one, please join the other tournament: Yami Tournament 5: Yami Strikes Back.
Am I allowed to be registered in both

Yes absolutely!
hey guys i'm bringing Winning Valkyrie in Japanese version
Winning Valkyrie is not permitted in the Classics tournament. It is permitted in the Standard tournament. Episode 5 legal, Episode 5.5 banned. Please read and understand the Burst Classic format rules if you want to participate.

Sorry meant to say most disk released during single and dual layer era. Thanks
Can I use Trans Driver?
I notice this one is marked as Ranked. Is that accurate? Is Classic becoming a ranked format officially?
Hey Everyone,

As classic is still in the experimental/ testing phase, we have decided to allow the use of all Dash Drivers as well as Xt+ for this Burst Classic tournament. We believe this will allow us to get some more usefull data and insight on which dash drivers should be allowed, banned, or reconsidered for burst classic. We decided to allow Xt+ for this tournament as well, as for two reasons:

1) Xt+ is highly vulerable to same spin attackers due to its weak burst resistance.

2) The only TT left spin layers in Burst Classic (Dragoon Fantom and Dragoon Storm) have pretty poor burst resistance. Combined with Xt+, other Dragoon Attack combos and even Opposite Spin attack combos can cause Dragoon Storm/ Fantom on Xt+ to burst.

We hope you all are excited for NYC's first classic tournament and are ready to bring your best.

See you tomorrow!
