What to buy to be successful in Limited

BUY FIRSTBB-96 Beyblade Super Deck Set- This set is a gold mine for limited. It contains top-tier attack (Pegasis), defense (Libra), and stamina/tornado staller (Burn) metal wheels along with top-tier setups for attack and stamina (and a metal face). THIS SET SHOULD BE PURCHASED BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE IN THIS FORMAT.


Stadiums:

BB-10 (Attack Type Beystadium)- This is the stadium the entire format is founded on and essential for both play and testing.

Accessories:

Launcher Grip- Not 100% necessary, but many bladers find it helpful for launch performance.

Beylauncher L/R- Preferred for its increased power over ripcord launchers and its increased versatility over its separate right and left versions.

BB-84/85 Metal Face Remodeling Ver.: These customizable Metal Faces offer four different modes of weight distribution. Each set comes with two Faces made of four different parts: a Metal Core, a Plastic Core, a Metal Plate, and a Plastic Plate. Being versatile, you can create the type which best enhances your combo, such as MF-H for Defense and Attack.


BBG-14/15 Metal Stone Face Flame Red/Ocean Blue: Exactly like the BB-84/86 Metal face Remodeling Ver. but for zero-g beyblades, offers a variety of different creations by combining the Plastic and Metal Plate together.


Single Beyblades:

Omega Dragonis 85XF (Hasbro, it's cheap)- Omega is the dominant attack wheel in limited, 85 is a powerful LTA track and XF has its uses.

Scythe Kronos T125EDS (Metal Fury)- The other dominant wheel in limited. Scythe has uses in defense, stamina, anti-attack and balance. If possible to obtain, there has been testing that has shown slight advantages to molds AA2 and AA4. However, all molds are incredible wheels in the format.

BB-43 Lightning L-Drago 100HF- Lightning is the primary left-spin attack wheel in the format.

BB-88 Meteo L-Drago LW105LF- Meteo is the primary left-spin stamina wheel in the format.

BBG-16 Starter Dark Knight Dragooon: As the only Crystal Wheel that can spin in the left direction and that can however be paired with any right-spin Chrome Wheel too, Dark Knight finds top-tier use in Attack and Spin-Stealing combos. LW160 also has relatively equal Stamina to W145, and BSF has potential in Balance customs.

BB-60 Earth Virgo GB145BS - Contains Earth, a staple Limited Format Stamina/Defense Wheel, and GB145, a competitive Track for use in mid-height Defense combinations.


Sets


BBG-25 Ultimate Synchrom DX Set Stamina & Defense Type: This one contains the defensive forces of reviser and killerken along with the offensive behemoth of wyvang (exclusive to this set) and the passable parts of AD145, 160, and Orojya.

Note: Synchromes cannot be used in this format.

WBBA Big Bang Pegasis Remodel Parts Set: Since this Set is small and generally inexpensive, it's an easy way to stock up Bottoms like RF, RSF and RS , which wear down quickly.

Hmmm...

Are we going for bare minimum here? I mean, TBH, ZRG Beyblades aren't all that useful in Limited Format (Phoenic and Wyvang can be used as Attack wheels, but Lightning is just as good, Pegasis trumps them both, and Omega makes them look like garbage).

I think the list should look like this:

  • BB-43 Lightning L-Drago 100HF - Contains Lightning, the Format's strongest left-spin Attack Metal Wheel, an essential part for any Limited Format collection.
  • BB-109 Tornado Horuseus 130RSF - Contains RSF, one of Limited Format's most effective Defense Bottoms, and the Horuseus Clear Wheel, an essential part for the construction of Omega Attack customs.
  • BB-109 Beat Lynx TH170WD - Contains the TH170 Track, one of the most competitive parts in Limited Format. Allows for versatility and effectiveness in Stamina combinations, and provides extreme height for high-Track Defense customizations.
  • BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - Contains B:D, an extremely competitive Stamina part, arguably the best possible setup for mid-height Stamina customs in Limited Format (especially when paired with the Scythe Metal Wheel).
  • BB-60 Earth Virgo GB145BS - Contains Earth, a staple Limited Format Stamina/Defense Wheel, and GB145, a competitive Track for use in mid-height Defense combinations.
  • BB-78 Rock Giraffe R145WB - Contains R145, a staple Track for Limited Format Attack customs and mid-height Defense combinations.
  • BB-102 Screw Capricorne 90MF - Contains MF, a very versatile competitive Bottom that can be used in many Balance customizations, and Screw, a competitive Metal Wheel for use in low-Track Attack combinations.
  • BB-71 Ray Unicorno D125CS - Contains CS, a very competitive Balance part that can be used in conjunction with Wheels like Libra, Scythe and Earth to build Defense/Stamina hybrids.

Sets

  • BB-96 Super Deck Set - Nearly every single part in this set is extremely competitive; Libra, D, WD, Pegasis, Burn, RF, 85, 90, Cancer, and a Metal Face Custom are all staple parts that every Limited Format player should own.
  • BB-118 Phantom Orion Parts Set - Contains CH120, a versatile Track for use in Attack customizations, and 230, a competitive high-Track Stamina/Defense part.

The products highlighted in red are ones that I'm not completely sure should be listed (it really depends if we're going for the bare minimum, or for a broad competitive arsenal).

I removed Meteo because, if you wanted it up there, you'd then have to add Killer Beafowl to the list (and possibly Screw Fox/Divine Crown, if you wanted to add TR145), and because, to be honest, I'm not sure it's all that competitive in Limited Format. Sure, it works, but it's so easy to KO and so shaky late-game that it isn't what most people would call reliable. I don't think spin-steal is as big a thing in Limited as it is in Standard or Zero-G (especially with the presence of Scythe B:D in the format). It's definitely a good part to have, but it isn't essential in my personal opinion.

I am not too certain that you listened to what TheBlackDragon was suggesting. In any case, I would just remove the part about Scythe being a dominant part, at least. It also seems ironic to put BB-96 at the very bottom of the post, yet to say that it should be purchased before anything else, hah.

Now with a more or less developed Limited Format and really not anything more that needs to be discovered, there's really not much to add. I'd say now with RS unbanned and Dark Knight LTAC being on the CC list, these are definitely worth adding though.

The last two were already mentioned in Time's opening post, except that the Girago is included in the Set (we are discussing this issue of multiple releases in the Zero-G version of this thread).

I really don't think rs is essential to being successful in limited. In regards to what theblackdragon posted like last year, I really don't think the additional individual beyblades other than Earth that he suggested really add anything to a blader's competitive arsenal, with the exception being screw capricorne 90mf for tornado stallers, but there's got to be a cheaper way to get MF, no?

I'd say RS should be on that list, now with RSF and RB's ban in consideration. It's not presently on the tier-list, but is arguably the best option for sole defense (arguably less versatile than RSF/RB though).

Also not sure about adding that full BBG-24. The set's pretty much useless in Limited aside from Girago. You had also listed Balro and WSF. I believe it was you that used the two in some way, but TBH, it should really on be pieces that are on the tier-list that are listed up there.

Fair point about BBG-24, I am admittedly somewhat out of sorts on the limited ban list discussion as I don't have the time for the back and forth, but I really can't imagine both rsf and rb being banned.

Looks like you guys did a pretty good job of listing almost everything vital to competitive play, but I second what TBD posted a year ago about adding Ray Unicorno, Screw Capricorn, and Phantom Orion as well. MF and CS can be substituted for other parts, but at the very least, B:D definitely should be up there as a top tier bottom for stamina.
Time Last I checked, Screw Capricorn is the cheapest way to get MF (plus you're getting 90 with it, so it's definitely worth it). I got my Takara Tomy one for under $10 on Ebay a couple years ago.

Spiral Lyre (either Hasbro or TT) wasn't too pricy when I did a search and that also includes ED145, which is a decent substitute part for Stamina. I feel like either would be decent buys. Either way you get something good.

I dod something like this for the WBO book for limited and standard. I can link the lists and I think the onyl difference is RS was banned when i wrote it.

Hmmm.

Things like Pegasis and Burn are good, but definitely aren't the bests options when it comes to the areas they're competitive in. Libra, however, was good in just about all areas, being arguably the best option for Defense anti-attack. Incredibly versatile too.

I think even then, it's good to have essentials like Metal Faces, low tracks, a Rubber Flat and D tips. Not necessarily the first thing you'd probably want to buy anymore, but still definitely a very good buy.

Yeah it is definitely super cool to play with still. I love the prehybrid beys, I have the whole set and love doing stock tourneys with them. Well, I have one of each anyway. Not counting the booster libra

I think that bb-96 is still pretty good buy for anyone trying to get into Limted, with Omega banned I can see Pegasus becoming one of the best options for right-spin attack customs. Not only the Pegasus, but the metal face and the tips are also very crucial for the format.

Don't you think Gravity Perseus will be good to add in this Beyblade Limited Format list?. BTW thanks for atleast starting discussion to update this thread again as it been while since it got outdated (especially when it's my fav format lol. it deserves some beywork)
