This is a Ranked X Event. You will need the following in order to participate.
This is the banlist we will be abiding by for this tournament. Please be aware of the ranked clauses established alongside this banlist.
Metal Needle Ban
- The following Bit may not be used in this tournament: Metal Needle
Participant Cap (84), Match Types, & Point Values
This event's first stage will start with a First to 5 3on3 Match Type. Final Stage will follow with a First to 7 Deck Match Type.
First stage will play by a 5 Round Swiss format, followed by a top 16 Single Elimination final stage.
Spin Finish: 1pt, Over Finish: 2pt, Burst Finish: 2pt, Xtreme Finish 3pt
Disassembly without the proper burst mechanic will result in 1 point.
Knockouts without proper contact will result in 1 point and a redo of the battle.
Air contact will result in a redo of the battle with 0 points awarded.

Tidal Wave has officially moved from a Double Elimination bracket to a 5 Round Swiss bracket! In the event of tiebreakers, players will require to participate in a first to 1 match to make finals. Final stage has remained a top 16 Single Elimination bracket.
Regarding the waitlist - The waitlist DOES NOT guarantee a spot at the tournament in the event a player is to drop out. The waitlist is only to be used to add players into the event AFTER REGISTRATION HAS CONCLUDED. Present waitlist players will be added into registration until an 84 player cap is reached. It has recently come to my attention that over this weekend there will be quite a bit of rain. Because of the substantially larger participant number, there will be no chance or risk of pursuing the date. Due to this there is a chance that Tidal Wave will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025 with an 11:30AM registration time and a 12:00PM start time, the same as what we have currently. There will be a second message confirming the plans this upcoming Friday, so for the moment please be aware there may be a chance of the date moving. Thank you for your continuous support of the SoCal Beyblade Community and I deeply apologize for any inconveniences that may stem from this as a result.

I announce with unfortunate news that Southern California's TIDAL WAVE has been postponed due to the high chances of rain set for January 26th, the date regionals was supposed to take place. I send my deepest condolences to any conflict this may potentially raise as this event has been in the talks for the past few months, and I give my upmost gratitude to the organizers and players who are working with us to ensure this tournament is possible. I only ask for your patience during this time.
With all of that in mind, TIDAL WAVE is set for Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Rynerson Park, Lakewood. Please note that the weekend is solidified, but whether it will 100% be the 8th or the 9th is up in the air.
