SATURDAY, APRIL 26 2014
Valley Lodge 36, 991 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury, Connecticut
LIMITED FORMAT

Registration - 1PM-1:30PM
Time - 1PM-5PM

The road to the Grand Battle begins! Connecticut Bladers, this is your chance to earn paid travel expenses (if necessary) to ANIME NORTH, along with an AN Pass to play in the WBO North American Championship, GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2!!

If you are under 16, it is mandatory for a parent to stay with you at this event! I cannot stress this enough. You will not be allowed to play otherwise. You must also have a ride available to you at all times in case they event ends early.

It's been a year since I've started running tournaments in CT, so let's celebrate! This will be a Limited-format tournament and we'll have side events running. Bey races! Illegal Bey battles! Episodes of Beyblade playing on the big screen! There'll also be raffles and other contests to try and win some of the awesome swag Hasbro has sent me for the event. Up for grabs are 2 Beywarrior Octogon sets, 8 single BeyWarriors, and 2 BeyRaiderz.

This event will also be a potluck! Bring a dish to share with the rest of the participants (just make sure to bring an ingredient list for those with allergies!)

Also, don't forget to add yourself to the BeyMap! CT needs representation! Please don't put your full address. Just city/state.

Additional Event Guidelines
  • No one under the age of 16 may judge a tournament battle. This is for liability reasons.
  • Tournament details may be changed/removed without notice.
  • By attending a CT Beyblade event, you grant us the right to take photos/video and use them for promotional materials. Special consideration will be given if brought to my attention ahead of time.
  • A Judge's calls are final. Please do not argue or carry on about a call you disagree with.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Do not touch the laptop used for scoring. You will find out your ranking at the end of the tournament.
  • There is a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy for bullying. Any participant caught bullying another will be disqualified, and will be forced to forfeit the rest of their matches.
  • Tournaments begin promptly after registration. If you arrive after the first battle of the tournament takes place, you cannot be added into the brackets and compete.

Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Qualifiers + Extra Credits + Free Face Booster!
To help subsidize the high cost of flying/busing the qualifiers to Toronto, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Qualifier Series tournaments, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport (if you wish to purchase a Blader Passport, the total cost would be $15 at a Qualifier Series tournament), and there will be no prize reimbursement apart from the travel expenses for the winner. We hope that everyone can understand this! The more funds we have, the bigger this championship will be! However, to show our appreciation for your cooperation and support in helping to fund the championship, all participants in Qualifier Series tournaments will receive the following:

What can I win?
The winner of this qualifier will receive the following:
  • Paid travel expenses, by plane/bus/public transit (if necessary, and whichever is cheapest) to ANIME NORTH 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2.
  • An ANIME NORTH 2014 Pass
Qualifiers will be responsible for finding/paying for accommodations in Toronto, but we will work closely with each of you to make sure that you find somewhere suitable. Additionally, the winner will be required to consult with the Committee before booking their flight/bus, and then after approval, provide a booking confirmation to the WBO Committee before they can provide reimbursement for the traveling costs. We can also reimburse gas costs, but in that case, reimbursement will only take place in person after we have received gas receipts.

2nd place in the qualifier will be a BeyWarriors Shogun Steel Octagon Showdown Battle Set

3rd place will Burning Firestrike Stadium

I thought more people will come to a CRAZY FREAKING AWESOME QUALIFIER but whatever :-)
I know right?
Don't worry! We usually get a good amount more people than the ones who respond here. A lot of local Simsbury Bladers don't actively use the site.
well that's for sure!
We're about 5 days away from the big tournament, and I just got back from vacation. Time to get my head in the game, and figure out a good combination to compete with!

Can't wait to see everyone!
I will be going count me in please put me on the list
Count me in and please put me on the attendance list
Wow, two new players entering within a half hour of each other?

CT must be doing something right. Tongue_out
I will be there! Looking forward to it. Speechless Speechless
Well, today's the big day.

I'll be there around 12:30, with Bullchamp. As I already told Naiajlak, I'm willing to help judge or bring my stadium, if needed, so we can mange to do block.

Good luck to all, can't wait to see you there. Tongue_out
Wow CT has come so far. Originally I thought you guys would be a community who does one tournament and never does one again, but I was wrong. You guys have been such an active community. I wish the best of luck to everyone attending today and no matter win or lose I hope everyone has fun!
TODAY IS THE DAY! ARE YOU READY CT?

Who's going on to Toronto to win it all and show everyone how much carp CT can really kick?
Good luck to everyone today

It's an indoor event. Tongue_out
Yup! All our events have been indoors, with the exception of our very first event! We're good, rain or shine.
And, I'm late to post.

Good luck Connecticut bladers! Win or lose, this is most certainly an exciting day.
