I do think that this is worth debating again, considering the most recent releases, namely Hyperion Burn and Helios Volcano (and soon Lucifer the End), are comprised of multi-part rings with moving components that could easily break if sniped.
Should Sniping/Gattyaki be part of the game? – WBO Staff wants your feedback!

Yes I agree especially Hyperion burn could break very easily. Also if sniping is allowed, and one of these beys break, they have to buy a whole other set which would suck. Another thing to point out is that if you are sniping with a tip like charge metal or xceed’ X+ then it increases the chance breakage
Has the final prosecution been decided?
I don't think it should be part of the game. It is really overpowered if you don't have good teeth. And like it could break your Hyperion Burn or Helios Volcano
After thinking for a while, i thought of a way to legally allow Gattyaki without considerable damage. How about we ban Gattyaki with drivers containing metal, this helps in reducing damage done.
If Gattyaki is banned:
We can have a fault system just like in tennis where a blader is allowed to fault once per round( two times and it results in a point loss).
If the person does that in 3 consecutive rounds then the penalty should be two points
What does the staff think about this proposal?

The crux of the argument has really narrowed to “when does the game start”

Fault system has been proposed internally and would likely be part of the game if gattyaki is “banned.” I should really not say “gattyaki banned” anymore. Gattyaki was never truly going to be completely banned (at least not in the gliding form as described in the OP). The real argument has really always been: does the game start at “shoot/rip” + bey leaving launcher or when the beys have touched the surface of the stadium.
I personally love this startegy. It is fun, and i use it a lot of times. I would say yes. This is fun and worthy to be called a beyblade strategy
I don't think it can. I tried it multiple times, and I have never broken a bey from this strategy

The thing is, when you’re in a bad matchup, you’re gonna say “Oh yeah sniping should be allowed!” so that you can have a chance at winning. But try playing a tournament match that you should have in the bag, and the snipe you. It’s not a great feeling. I’m against sniping.
I personally think it could be allowed as a trump card for those that need that extra boost in points, if they're loosing and need to pull it back, they run the risk of failing, but can pull a match back and give themselves another chance. (Also I'd love to see something that could give Lost Longinus a chance to come back from the banlist since it's my favorite dual layer beyblade)
Both players are supposed launch their Beyblades on shoot or rip launching after shouldn’t bey allowed that’s my opinion.
Remember when this thread was alive?
I think you should ban this after covid dies

You could try predicting where the opponents bey will land and you can attempt many other stuff.
My main concern with the prospect of banning sniping is that judges would have to be able to settle disputes with a high degree of accuracy. Preferably, all rounds would be recorded. While this is definitely possible to do, it would put a lot of strain on organisers to make sure that all matches are on camera. The room for dispute is too large for a sniping ban to solve more problems than it creates.
As for sniping itself, i believe it is a legitimate strategy. Like other launching techniques, it is meant to influence the movement of your beyblade to your advantage. While people may feel cheated to lose to gattyaki, the same can be said for random bursts in stamina matches or spin-equalizers. As long as we can ban/restrict parts that are prone to damage other parts, sniping is just another layer of strategic depth.

No banned?
In my opinion sniping should be illegal
Alright. After reading every post on this thread... I say that it should remain. There are multiple ways to counter, or reduce the odds of success. Anyone with good eyes could potentially predict the opponent's movements, and try to launch as close as possible to the opponent, rather than the difference in time. Another potential tactic to use against the sniper, would be moving the launcher in such a way that the sniper could not adapt to. If this seems cluttered, I apologize.
Though, take my opinion with a grain of salt. I cannot do testing for these countermeasures at the time. I still would count it as a potential way to win an uncertain matchup, because, with enough practice, a newer blader could beat a top tier combo.

I don't like because the other bey would have more stamina and it feel like cheating
Just an update Marutti had mentioned in the discord that in Japan there is no concept of Gattyaki and the word means something completely different from sniping( I think he called it vomit or something im not sure.)
This thread has been on for a long time, and I have to say that sniping will most likely be banned at some point so no point in preventing the inevitable.

The reason why they made this thread is that so we can give feedback on this topic. That alone shows there's a good chance it may not be banned.
Yes this should be a part of beyblade. Its a startegy that I use very often. It is cool, and makes sense why we should use it
Oh never mind what I said
oh never mind

That way the opponent either bursts or loses alot of stamina.

I'm 100% against sniping.
Not on the edge.
Since first games in metal series, never wanted to play against bullies who try to damage my beyblade. Even in metal times, plastic rings were very vulnerable to hard hits. And other parts too.
Don't want to discuss timing - both players can never launch exactly same time.
Skills - Come on. Talking about skills from 5cm distance ?! Beigoma is thrown from big distance. And fully made of metal.
We are playing spinning game. At least that's all I want to play.
