So, I'm sure a couple of you already know about my love towards Dragooon BD145GF; some of you Toronto Bladers have probably already seen me use it in action! I myself have always got the feels that this spin-equalizing beast is deserving of a spot on the tier-list. That in mind, here are a couple of testings I conducted with Killerken Dragooon BD145GF along with some of its use as a winning combination in tournaments along with my own experiences.
Right Spin: BeyLauncher L/R
Left Spin: Left-Spin String Launcher + BeyPointer
All matches were done in the BB-10, of course.
Just to mention for those of which wondering, I didn't really bother to test against Dragooon-based stamina; in the end, even with GF being able to stall, it comes down to which Beyblade has more stamina.
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Genbull Genbull B:D
BWD in its prime. Genbull launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 9/10 (8 OS, 1 KO) 90% Win Rate
Genbull Genbull: 1/10 (ALL OS) 10% Win Rate
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Genbull Genbull SA165BWD
B:D in its prime. Genbull launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 9/10 (ALL OS) 90% Win Rate
Genbull Genbull: 1/10 (ALL OS) 10% Win Rate
Yup, Killerken Dragooon didn't seem to have much of a hard time winning against Genbull, haha.
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Duo Cancer B:D
B:D in its prime. Duo launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 9/20 (8 OS, 1 KO) 45% Win Rate
Duo Cancer: 11/20 (ALL OS) 55% Win Rate
The difference between Genbull and Duo-based stamina is quite clear. I think Duo's success had to do with it being anti-Dragooon, though, whereas Genbull isn't. I continued to do more matches, by the way, because it managed to get four of the ten wins, and didn't with Genbull because it won 9 of the 10, also being clear about what it was able to pull off. Here are some more Duo testings, though.
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Duo Cancer SA165BWD
BWD in its prime. Duo launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragoon: 16/20 (15 OS, 1 KO) 80% Win Rate
Duo Cancer: 4/20 (ALL OS) 20% Win Rate
Yeah, obviously that is a huge change in result; a change of tip and track ended up making a rather big change on the outcome. This definitely had to do with BWD, though, seeing as it is rather unstable. That in mind, Dragooon was able to destabalize Duo, therefore getting it off balance, making it go into a circle-like pattern tilting down, and then eventually stop spinning. At least 12 of the 15 matches Dragoon won by OS were on that way. Here are some tests with WD instead of BWD, I know for a fact that WD is a lot more stable than BWD, W2D and for that matter, EWD.
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Duo Cancer SA165WD
WD in its prime. Duo launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 6/20 (5 OS, 1 KO) 30% Win Rate
Duo Cancer: 14/20 (ALL OS) 70% Win Rate
Okay, that's a lot more accurate. Like I said earlier, WD is much more stable than BWD. I also mentioned that Dragooon was able to distabalize it, and BWD would go into a circle-like pattern tilting down, and then eventually stop spinning. In this case, however, it circled around for a very little period of time, but then came back down to Dragoon, using it's ''anti-Dragooon magic'' to OS it.
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Duo Cancer AD145WD
WD in its prime. Duo launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 12/20 (ALL OS) 60% Win Rate
Duo Cancer: 8/20 (6 OS, 2 KO) 40% Win Rate
Obviously, overall, Dragooon BD145GF really doesn't do that great against Duo-based MTSCs.
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Duo Cancer TH190SD
SD a tad worn down. Duo launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 10/20 (7 OS, 3 KO) 50% Win Rate
Duo Cancer: 10/20 (ALL OS) 50% Win Rate
Let me just mention that the prime reason why Killerken Dragooon didn't do well was because of at the end of the match not having contact with Duo Cancer; like BWD, it would circle around the stadium leaning down, but for a period of time being able to stall out Dragooon. Despite that, though, the very few times it the two had contact at the end of the matches, Dragoon did manage to OS it.
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Duo Cancer TH190TB
TB in its prime. Duo launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 10/10 (9 OS, 1 KO) 100% Win Rate
Duo Cancer: 0/10 (0 OS, 0 KO) 0% Win Rate
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Genbull Genbull F230GCF
Hasbro F230 that works relatively decent. Genbull launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 13/20 (5 OS, 7 KO) 65% Win Rate
Genbull Genbull: 7/20 (ALL OS) 35% Win Rate
A 65 percent win rate isn't all that bad, it's just the fact that it didn't succeed in its area that much; spin equalizing. It's not that surprising why Dragooon got more KO's that OS, though.
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Genbull Genbull SR200CS
CS semi-worn down. Genbull launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 8/10 (5 OS, 3 KO) 80% Win Rate
Genbull Genbull: 2/10 (ALL OS) 20% Win Rate
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus MSF-H Wyvang Girago BD145RDF
RDF worn by a tad; BD145RDF launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 5/20 (4 OS, 1 KO) 25% win rate.
Wyvang Girago: 15/20 (13 OS, 2 KO) 75% win rate.
Not good; I believe Wyvang Girago's success simply had to do with the width and the big circular-shape being much bigger than the rubber of RDF itself. Let me mention, though, there were a lot of ties, and when I say a lot, I'm talking 14, believe it or not, counted ties; all of the matches were close, but in the end RDF got the wins.
So yeah, in short, Dragooon BD145GF does horrendously against BD145RDF. I did some unofficial tests against other BD145 variants and the same thing occurred (obviously, a change of Chrome Wheels in this scenario wouldn't impact the performance and win by OS that much.
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Phantom Cancer 85MF
MF semi-worn down. Phantom launched first all matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 9/10 (7 OS, 2 KO) 90% Win Rate
Phantom Cancer: 1/10 (ALL KO) 10% Win Rate
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Diablo Unicorno BD145R2F
R2F in its Prime. Launches alternated every five matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 8/10 (5 OS, 3 KO) 80% Win Rate
Diablo Unicorno: 2/10 (ALL KO) 20% Win Rate
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Girago Girago BD145RF
R2F in its Prime. Launches alternated every five matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 8/10 (5 OS, 3 KO) 80% Win Rate
Girago Girago: 2/10 (ALL KO) 20% Win Rate
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF versus Reviser Reviser BD145RSF
RSF in its Prime. Launches alternated every five matches.
Killerken Dragooon: 10/10 (ALL OS) 100% Win Rate
Reviser Reviser: 0/10 (0 OS, 0 KO) 0% Win Rate
Killerken Dragoon BD145GF versus Duo Aquario BD145RSF
RSF in its Prime. Launches alternated every five matches.
Killerken Dragoon: 8/10 (ALL OS) 80% Win Rate
Duo Aquario: 2/10 (0 OS, 0 KO) 20% Win Rate
Genbull Dragooon BD145GF was used by Ethan H as winning combination at Return of Standard.
Killerken Dragooon BD145GF was used by BladerLight as a winning combination at Super Yolo Swag Tournament of Doom. According to TheBlackDragon, it was used to beat some sort of stamina custom, quite possibly even a Duo B:D or Duo SA165EWD.
Now, I have multiple experiences using Dragooon BD145GF at WBO tournament play, some good some bad.
At Grand Battle Prelude: MFB I won against The Sponge's Genbull Genbull B:D with Bahamdia Dragooon BD145GF: yes, I used Bahamdia; my worried self at the time wanted to go for the alternative smash if out-spinning didn't work out.
At High Park Throwdown 6, I used my Killerken Dragooon BD145GF to beat Suntailhawk's Flash attack setup at High Park Throwdown 6.
At BEYBLADE NEVER STOPS, I used my Killerken Dragooon BD145GF to beat kaibaman7869's rather odd Gryph Goriem X:D. Doesn't really mean much on Dragooon's part, though, haha.
At FROZEN BEYS, I used my Killerken Dragooon BD145GF and lost against JesseObre's Genbull Dragooon 85EWD. Like I mentioned earlier, Dragoon BD145GF does horrendously against Dragooon-based stamina; in the end, it reallycomes down to which Beyblade has more stamina.
OVERALL THOUGHTS ON DRAGOOON BD145GF[/size]
So, do I myself think Dragooon BD145GF should be on the tier-list? Well, before, I was initially very confident in this combo, but I'm somewhere in between on it now; it seems to do well against just about everything, except Duo MTSCs; a big part of the competitive Beyblade metagame in terms of stamina. What do you guys think, though?
