This better not turn out like the first MMPR Movie (Ivan Ooze... ugh).
I always knew this day would come... *cries* (not joyful crying). Though it'll be interesting to see the see how they'll make it "serious" and to see how they attemp to improve the quality.

On the topic of power rangers, I wonder when the time will come when they stop producing new power ranger shows, I'm really getting tired of seeing the show getting redone in so many different ways with the same stuff. a team of usually 5 or so members fight evil monsters in big fake looking costumes. With swords that can magically slice up an opponent without even touching it with the swords. And then after they beat the bad guy the ranger's magical giant fighting machine appears and the monster grows giant they fight and everytime there just happens to be no people on the ground. Rangers beat it and proceed to pose in front of the explosion ( how does a monster explode into flames after getting beat up?). Jungle Fury, Samurai, Mystic Force, the most recent one (whatever it's called), The one with the Anubis looking dude as the rangers commander and the various other older ones I can't remember. TOO MANY.
I'm not that excited for that kind of a movie. The story is literally repetitive. Like what DRAGON KING said, Bad guy gets defeated, grows larger, Rangers get in big robot, defeat large bad guy, Pose with random explosion behind, and then repeat. Oh, and if they keep the "Man in a Wonky Suit" gimmick, Well...

Unless they do a Pacific Rim, that is, IMO...
With Power Rangers, it's you love it or you don't. Thankfully, I love it. Tongue_out

I think it'll be really cool to see it with a "darker" touch, for an older audience and generations of fans.

I sincerely hope they consciously overdo those tropes specifically for comedic effect; it would be soooooo much better/funnier/more entertaining than if they took themselves super seriously IMO

The best kind of stupid movie is the kind that knows that it's stupid.

I would actually watch movies if they broke the fourth wall more often and they let someone poke fun at any stupidity/tropes/poor writing.

Oh, wait.
I always find myself wondering what the world would be like if the Ancient Greek religion was the most popular, or at least one of the most popular.
The fact that the current top 3 are monotheistic and so intertwined with each other (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) would make it so much more interesting for a Polytheistic religion to be popularly practiced.

Not to be rude, but I'm pretty sure aside from holidays, etc.- religion isn't really supposed to be discussed that much. .
Today I went to my first Drivers Ed class. In Indiana, you must be enrolled in a course to get your permit. Anyways, I learned that since I'm over 15 and 6 months, I can take my permit test whenever but I still must take the class (mostly just for the drive time).

I'm excited, but I sure do feel old. I'll probably take my test in a week or so so that I have time to study my manual. Thankfully I'm not nervous about the driving part because I've had plenty of experience. Underage driving for the win, haha.
In California, you have to be 18 to legally drive, and in Los Angeles, you have to be 16 to take Drivers Education. I guess my Power Wheels will do for now.
Speaking of Power Wheels, have you all seen the Mario Kart car(t?) Have you driven one? I did, good times.
Oh man, I was at TRU searching for some Beyblades and Amazing Spiderman 2 figures when I ran into that. If I was younger, I'd buy that.

If I could afford it, I'd buy it right now.
That moment when you scream after you see the Pokemon XY FlashFire series card commercial. Man, Those Mega Charizards look so awesome sauce.

I don't really play Pokemon TCG much anymore. As B+W progressed, they released insanely overpowered cards which completely screwed up the game. I mean, look at this:

I have four of these. Play them with Special Metal energy and a few Royal Heal Serperiors in your Bench, and you're nearly invincible. Your opponent can't even attack except for once after you KO a Pokemon, and even then it will do damage reduced by 40 (from the Special Energy) and then will get healed by the Benched Serperiors' Royal Heal in between turns. Throw in something that boosts your Prize Card drawing and you win almost instantly.

The worst part is that they're Basics - no evolution needed, and a mere 3 energy until it's got Iron Breaker. So it's got a crazy-fast setup time, too, and deals a whopping 80 damage even disregarding the "cannot attack next turn" thing. That can KO almost all Basics and most Stage Ones. Furthermore, Energy Press means that you can't, say, charge up a Gigalith in the bench, attaching massive amounts of energy to it so it can do like a billion damage all at once and KO Cobalion; you just send out another with only 2 energy, and just nail it and its 10 or so Energy with Energy Press, dealing 200 damage and KOing it easily.

And, this isn't even a particularly special card - there's also a Beartic out there with the exact same style of attack - you can't attack next turn, and lose pretty much automatically. And then there's the Outrage Reshiram/Zekroms; Basics with 140 HP and an attack that inflicts damage based on how many damage counters are on it, for only two colorless Energy - so it can be integrated into any deck. Slap one of those down, tank through a few hits at the start of the game, and BAM, you're hitting for eighty damage or so after only about three turns. Have four of each and a healthy stock of Revives and you can keep throwing these out and one-hitting anything that comes at you. Tank through the first hit and clobber them with over 100 damage, move onto next Pokemon.

It just isn't fun anymore...
And that's why I prefer to collect not to play. And I don't want to buy a Deck just for the energy cards.

Seems like they're making they're HP higher and higher over the series.

My hunt will not end until I have Blastoise EX and M Charizard EX/X in my binder.
I enjoyed collecting First Gen cards, but not too much after that.

I tried to play a few years back, but I was really unimpressed with the HP increases on certain cards; wasn't really my type of card game, I guess.

It's like in the later series of Bakugan, when printed G's were 1250 (without including Mechtogan, Battle Gear, etc.), compared to 120 G's from the older series. That was a huge turn-off for me, mainly why I stopped during Mechtainium Surge.
For the most part, I've been content with the new releases - Stage 2 HP is still around 130-140, which is pretty much the same it's been since HG/SS. It's just that a few certain cards - usually Legendaries - get released with ridiculously strong abilities or attacks and are made even stronger with a good support network. Especially since most Legendaries are Basics, it avoids the long setup time powerful Pokemon normally have, and so you have a crazy strong Pokemon out before your opponent can even do anything at all.

So, right now I just got home from school. I'm eating one of those easy mac and cheese bowls. But, what I like to do is put TWO cheese packs in it instead of just one. Some people think that this might be weird. But, does anybody else do this?

What do u do with the left over pasta without the cheese sauce?

Also , how do u get those pokemon in the corner of your sig? You and womb@ both have on.
My sister likes it without cheese. So, she can put Parmesan cheese on it. As for the pokemon, I searched up a animated sprite or model, or whatever you call it. Saved it. Then added it to my sig.
I'm about 100 pages into the book 1984 (by Orwell) and I must say, I regret not reading it early on because damn this is one awesome piece of literature.
I'm feeling the heat, and it's so bad that my iPod has molten metal where the CPU chip is. It's 102 degrees here! We're hotter than the desert, someone get me ice cream!

Oh man, he's one of my favorite authors, haha.

Animal Farm was absolutely fantastic; so much can be connected to present times, honestly.

To be honest I loved Snowball. Tongue_out
Reading Animal Farm when I was ten made it more eerie than anything else, and don't get me started on Rollof Thunder Hear My Cry and The Crucible.

Why that young?

I doubt any ten year old would appreciate the meaning behind it, haha.
