Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST

Last day of school for me until break. I have nothing planned Tired but oh well, I've been wanting a break longer than the weekend. I might go fishing if it warms up just a little and might go to a concert, but tw most I think I'll be doing is hanging with friends.

Sucks I'm having a test, but I'd rather have it before than after break.

I'm on break now, but I'll be going back to school next week, which I'm actually looking forward to since it's been so boring at home.

People actually find it weird that someone feels good about going back to school after a vacation. However, it is completely true, haha! Things get extremely boring at home, and one can't wait to get back to school.
I shouldn't be saying this though, as my vacation just started- two days back. I still have nearly two months of free time before I get back into academics, haha!

I'm on a two week break from school, and it'll be a busy two weeks as I have to do two full History exams from my exam papers (compiled of the previous exams), learn the questions and answers of 48 questions in Science and learn 4 music pieces for a music practical that I've to do as soon as I go back into school in two weeks time.

Over the summer, I'll be going on a Leadership Activity for four days with a group of people. Smile

We have a new student in our class, she's from China and doesn't speak much English. She knows basic words (Hello, bye, thanks, etc ...). She carries around a book and if she's having a hard time explaining things, she'll draw things out for us.

Its the cutest thing ever（ﾉ´∀`）

We've never had any students from foreign nations in my school. It was just on one occasion that an American student once came.
He didn't talk much at first, and for some reason, he was the prime target of most bullies, haha!
We used to consider him to be a sissy boy not used to the new environment.
But now............

I only know how to say "hello" and "how are you" so far. Not much, but its a start ! The teachers always are hovering around her and so she barely gets time to talk to the students. But maybe after a few weeks, she'll settle down and the teachers will stop being so overprotective of he xD

I don't think I've ever had a new kid from a foreign place. We have gotten quite a few new kids this year though. In just my grade we've gotten 4.

So is anybody else filling out the bracket for College Basketball? I think I'm doing good, but already there's been a couple upsets that screwed it up for me. What's cool about it is that if me or my bro win, we get $10 each, but if the parents win, we give them a massage. Right now, It can be anybody's game after the round of 32 for our competition... I got a lot riding on Miami (FL) to win.

I had Oklahoma State in the Sweet Sixteen... oh well. I hate the Big 12 anyways.

I did predict the Wisconsin upset, though, so that will help me.

I'm playing in a bracket with my uncle, and there are like 40 people entered. Gives me really low chances, but if I win, I get something around $180Stupid

For one, it looks like you put HTML coding (or whatever that is, not much of a tech person) in the IMG tags, not a URL.

Oh, I know only Cantonese...

I only knew Cantonese when I first went to school. I learned english by watching other kids react to the "sounds" or "words." The teachers acually didn't put me in ESL because I knew too much English! XD

Is she in ESL? It would help if she was...

Oh, I remember in 5th grade there was a girl from China who came in our class. Me and another classmate were the translators, but we liked to troll people (for example, when someone asked to write down hello in mandarin on a piece of paper to hand to her, the other guy wrote "I love you" instead). Oh, good times.
