Questions about the WBO

You definitely can, but try to be fair and reasonable in your usage of the Balance Type BeyStadium for instance. It could be in specific stages, like if you use Swiss or in the finals of any format, or perhaps one whole Block. It should not be totally random where one person could go through the whole tournament without ever encountering what another competitor who ends up in the final did, but it also all depends on availability. Obviously, we made the stadiums legal so that if you have three Blocks in Block Round Robin and only two BeyStadiums Attack Type, your BeyStadium Balance Type can be used for the third Block if you want to run all three Blocks at once.

That's actually what we were thinking of. Using different stadiums throughout different stages of the event; not at random.
I've been thinking, is Blader DJ an account controlled by the committee? If it is, a committee member probably won't post it, but might as well ask.

All accounts in the WBO Committee usergroup are controlled by committee members by definition.
Oh yeah hehe sorry. But I think every body knows what I mean.
This is a question specifically for committee members.
This stadium is pretty cheap on Amazon right now. Is it worth buying to test the competitive value, or should I not waste my time because not enough people have it for valid testing results? It would be nice to have more legal stadium options for standard, but I won't bother unless it's something that the committee has considered or is open to considering with minimal testing.

I believe Uwik tested it. From the posts I saw , the results were very similar to BB-10.

Thanks, but:

:p
I knew he tested it, just want to know for sure if there's a good chance that it'll become legal.
I know, but I didn't know if you knew about the tests, if you hadn't I would have linked you to them.
I'm a little concerned that listing doesn't mention the brand at all. Might be worth asking if you have an amazon account, though I don't know if you can actually ask sellers questions on Amazon (which is definitely a surprise)
EDIT: Did some googling of that product code, there is a site that lists one of the suppliers there, and a manufacturer, which is TT/SK: http://www.joybay.co.kr/amazon.item/B00AJUH766/
Obviously, that's not a guarantee that it is legitimate, but it's definitely promising. A quick search of the EAN/UPC listed there didn't bring anything up, but as it's not a full boxed item I'm not sure if that really says anything important.

I got the feeling at the time it was close enough that it just needed another member to verify the results, if that is of any use to you while you wait for a staff member to respond. Frankly, I would personally have liked to have seen it legalised at the time given the measurements and the fact that it was really no more unusual than the Triple Battle Type stadium - and certainly much more sensible than those two stadiums we have legal that don't even have a tornado ridge haha.

Actually while I'm here, I'm curious - we've long had the BB-10 only rule for testing, but for stadiums that are very similar, like the Triple Battle Type and if/when it is approved for competitive use, the one TheSupremeOne is talking about (basically "everything but the tornado-ridge-less ones"), is it really worth not allowing them - the difference should be/as I remember it was quite small and we can always simply say that while they are sufficient basis for a thread/post and for discussion, confirmation from BB-10 tests are necessary for anything like the competitive combinations lists, ban lists, and that they will obviously be given less weight if there are conflicting BB-10 tests?
I mean, I don't know if anyone actually has either and lacks a BB-10 but in theory at least it could still be very useful for giving an indication of how a part or combination performs - and if those stadiums do end up being markedly different, then that certainly makes it more likely that we'll find out, no?
Thanks, Th!nk; very helpful! It would be nice to see more tournaments use stadiums aside from the BB-10 for standard format. I think the fact that testing doesn't really happen in the BB-46 or Triple Battle stadium might have to do with the lack of tournaments where they're used. Less competitive testing would make anyone uneasy.
If what you say is true about the WBO being one test away from legalizing that stadium, I'll probably buy it sometime soon.
Blitz confirmed that the results from the Triple Battle Type BeyStadium were almost identical to results in the BeyStadium Attack Type, and Uwik had a similar testimony for the Super Control BeyStadium. It would be great to have another person's opinion and tests to formally support it, but yes, it was definitely a stadium we consider legalising.

Seeing as those two stadiums provide very similar results, I do think they could be used instead of the BeyStadium Attack Type for tests if someone really lacked the latter. To protect everything and everyone, it should be specified in each test result post which stadium was used, but the differences between the stadiums mentioned in this post are really nothing compared to all the others we have not legalised, and even the Balance Type BeyStadium, yes, due to its lack of Tornado Ridge.
How come if you click on the link to the GBT2 in the upcoming events it says no permission?
(Apr. 27, 2014  3:03 PM)RagerBlade Wrote: How come if you click on the link to the GBT2 in the upcoming events it says no permission?

It links to a thread that contains an erased post, so it might be that the topic was renamed quickly after that and that the only thing that has that thread title now is the erased post.
Sounds right to me. The thread rename redirection thing has always fascinated me, I had something similar happen myself with a tournament, where after a rename the link took people to the tournament proposal thread rather than the tournament thread, or something along those lines. It's a convenient mechanism but by no means infallible.
I don't mean to sound like McWiener, but uh, when will the update to the tier list be made (we've been asking for months) and make a decision on F230?

I definitely want a Zero-G top-tier list to finally be made : it is so overdue.

A decision on F230 might come afterwards since at least the top-tier list, to me, seems like it is just on the edge of being done and agreed by everyone. I personally would like to see others experiment with F230 in a Zero-G Stadium that is atop cardboard. Even if TheBlackDragon later said F230 remained an issue, when he initially found that that was the difference, he did post that it made Duo SA165EWD (if I remember correctly) a viable counter, so it would be great to have more than one person's tests to confirm if the floor surface is the game-changer.
There already is a Zero-G Top Tier list though, correct? I was actually talking about the standard tier list update. All it takes is to copy and paste the list TBD made. Most people agree on it.

Well, it was something that no Committee Member has given the final approval to by officially posting the top-tier list (currently it is just a quote by Dark_Mousy), so it would be good to finalise that ... However, I do suppose nobody in the Committee was opposed to that, so OK, I will try to get us to work on the Standard Format top-tier list next in priority.

Oh cool. Thanks.

*Cough* Dark_Mousy for committee *cough*
And I did not say that because I doubt the content in Dark_Mousy's post : that is just not how we usually present top-tier lists.

How about you and Indo these tests at Anime North and film it?

I never thought you meant it like that lol. I just said the cough thing because he's (and Ingulit) the one that normally presents the list and he usually tries to get stuff done. He'd be a real help IMO.

That would probably be the best time to catch me when I really cannot be working or do anything else in that period hah, but unless I am really a master of Duo SA165EWD, I doubt my launching will be enough to prove any point. I can film though, hah.
