They could just be referencing the sword being a strong part of the layer and give attack or something, since your translation doesn't reference metal at all.

yeah from that pic, we can see the sword going out of the layer, which seems to have the form of a Red Shield , and that Gold Sword is in plastic.

Yeah I am wondering how this will burst the other bey without bursting itself. That seems like it will have crazy recoil. It is going to be hard to design this so it won't self burst I would think, especially if they are moving away from Valkyrie-type teeth. Here's hoping it works though

It's possible this image of Xtreme from CoroCoro is just that of a prototype? Maybe blue and red were just used to draw contrast between the different materials. IIRC, an early render of RDF also featured the part's plastic portion in blue but was ultimately colored red in the release.

Its hard to use that in this case, since they actually made the driver that way. I'm not sure they would show a prototype in a scan instead of a showcase. if there are any examples of prototype real-life concepts, please show me a few

It's probably talking about how, to cut through plants like grass and bamboo, blunt force won't do the job at all. Instead, all the power needs to be focused into a single point (that sword), much like Masamune had to learn in the MFB anime.

No, it's more "scoop shot" as in something a journalist would say. Like "I've just got a scoop shot of a new product."
撮影 is the word for photograph but in this instance it'd be "shot" because it's in an advertisement.
