Hello everyone.
Before we discuss anything, let's get this straight. (Click to View)

After surviving the apocalypse (caused by Lavos haha), all that is left of the world is a destroyed future with little hope for humanity. Warriors roaming the land find themselves drawn into clashes over food, water and any usable resources. Survival of the fittest reigns supreme. However, while those samurais are clashing with swords, NYC bladers will be clashing with with Samurai Changers, Ifraids and Pegasi at Samurai Showdown!

I will be cohosting with Cyber Blader, who is also a well-established member in the NYC Beyblade community and is equally dependable.

Name: Samurai Showdown
Date: December 22nd, 2012

Venue: Hecksher Playground, Central Park, NY, NY

It is assuredly a very safe location to play in, and plus we have safety in numbers after all.

WARNING: There will be cold weather during this time. Temperatures are expected to be in the 40s, so dress warm! There are snack carts nearby, but the prices might be slightly expensive, so it's best to bring food from home.
Some Additional Info courtesy of one of our members: (Click to View)

Format: MFB, then Zero-G
I wish for a HMS or plastic tournament, but I know it's not going to happen and I don't have nearly enough older beys to lend out. This is subject to change however, if other circumstances arise.
Registration/Starting Time: 1 PM, Registration will occur in the half hour or more before that (aka at noon). If neither of the hosts are there immediately, sit tight and we'll definitely get there in time.

On another note, STEALING OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. NYC has has a history of stolen parts and even unrelated objects like a 3DS, which is incredibly shameful. You and any family members present are responsible for your belongings due to being in a public place, but if either Cyber Blader or I find any note of stealing and can confirm that it was stolen, there will be consequences for the culprit.

Prize Pool: (1st place = 1st pick, etc.)
Red Galeon + Plastic Right-Spin Launcher
2 Tiger Defenser (green) + Smash Turtle (red)
Thunder Dragon (HMS) Light Blue Hasbro (no spark paper)
The prizes are old generation Beyblades, however they are sadly used. They are still in very manageable condition though, and are fully legal for play. They are also all competitive!

All sellers who have posted in this thread stating their merchandise will be listed under this spoiler.

I think I've covered all the bases here, now we just need you! Don't forget to sign up for this so that we can become an official event! The fees are waived during this week, but you can still purchase a Blader Passport for 10 USD and receive a year-long, unrestricted access to special giveaways and other tournaments hosted by the WBO!
Note: I'll also have a 'Happy Anniversary WBO!' sign so we can take some pictures with it during the tournament.

So let's stop failing, and let's get NYC blading again!

Did I forget to say I was going? Oh we'll but, now I must say I going so sign me up!!
When I go, I will be the first one there, maybe before you, haha. Hey, are you going to bring a table, or we will play on the floor?

So you do have a Zero-G stadium? By all means, please bring it.

We are now officially Zero-G!

Well, yes tournaments do get approved quickly if you can prove yourself to be reliable enough to the Committee.

Hm, I hadn't really though of that. I might bring cardboard for Zero-G, but usually the Hecksher Park tournaments are played on the floor.

EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised, Queens-Midtown Tunnel has a history of horrendous traffic. I may be there early though because my parents are also going tot be looking around with my sister since she's on Christmas break starting the 21st.
If I come could I bring my Zero G balance stadium for official play?

Wait is it a MFB, or a Zero G? I really want the tournament to be MFB first then maybe a Zero G Side tourny.
That's what we're doing. MFB is the top priority, followed by a later Zero-G tournament.
I might come to this 1

You don't need to use Zero G beyblades for a Zero G Tournament.
And yes, WBO fees are luckily waived during this time period thanks to the 4th anniversary celebrations. I can tell you from experience that it is worth buying a passport anyway for 10 bucks because you skip all tournament fees for the next year and get access to giveaways too.
put me down as maybe

Sunday I can't really do since I'm already going into the city on Saturday.

I know there's a weather issue on Saturday, I'm trying to work around that.
I am in.
EDIT: I will also be selling a Pirates Revizer M145CF, lightly used.
Edited:nevermind this post
The bey was already reserved sorry.

I'm also clearly stating in the OP that you should PM me an offer for any of the beys I have.
Ga there an alternitive place like Naumburg Bandshell?

Mostly a decent shelter.
That was my alternative option, yes.

If the rain is fully confirmed, I'll post directions to and a picture of the bandshell since that offers some cover.
Can you also put arpan19 and king striker as mabye
Alright updated, though I would prefer for them to post themselves.

Come on guys, let's get less maybes and more confirmed members! We have 8 confirmed but over 10 still undecided. The early planning was so that you could add this to your schedule and then work any other coming up events around it.
Just take me off the list
I finish my classes at 12:30 and reaching central park from jersey city via path in 30 minutes isn't possible
Good luck and hope you guys have fun
