Hello everyone.
Before we discuss anything, let's get this straight. (Click to View)

After surviving the apocalypse (caused by Lavos haha), all that is left of the world is a destroyed future with little hope for humanity. Warriors roaming the land find themselves drawn into clashes over food, water and any usable resources. Survival of the fittest reigns supreme. However, while those samurais are clashing with swords, NYC bladers will be clashing with with Samurai Changers, Ifraids and Pegasi at Samurai Showdown!

I will be cohosting with Cyber Blader, who is also a well-established member in the NYC Beyblade community and is equally dependable.

Name: Samurai Showdown
Date: December 22nd, 2012

Venue: Hecksher Playground, Central Park, NY, NY

It is assuredly a very safe location to play in, and plus we have safety in numbers after all.

WARNING: There will be cold weather during this time. Temperatures are expected to be in the 40s, so dress warm! There are snack carts nearby, but the prices might be slightly expensive, so it's best to bring food from home.
Some Additional Info courtesy of one of our members: (Click to View)

Format: MFB, then Zero-G
I wish for a HMS or plastic tournament, but I know it's not going to happen and I don't have nearly enough older beys to lend out. This is subject to change however, if other circumstances arise.
Registration/Starting Time: 1 PM, Registration will occur in the half hour or more before that (aka at noon). If neither of the hosts are there immediately, sit tight and we'll definitely get there in time.

On another note, STEALING OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. NYC has has a history of stolen parts and even unrelated objects like a 3DS, which is incredibly shameful. You and any family members present are responsible for your belongings due to being in a public place, but if either Cyber Blader or I find any note of stealing and can confirm that it was stolen, there will be consequences for the culprit.

Prize Pool: (1st place = 1st pick, etc.)
Red Galeon + Plastic Right-Spin Launcher
2 Tiger Defenser (green) + Smash Turtle (red)
Thunder Dragon (HMS) Light Blue Hasbro (no spark paper)
The prizes are old generation Beyblades, however they are sadly used. They are still in very manageable condition though, and are fully legal for play. They are also all competitive!

All sellers who have posted in this thread stating their merchandise will be listed under this spoiler.

I think I've covered all the bases here, now we just need you! Don't forget to sign up for this so that we can become an official event! The fees are waived during this week, but you can still purchase a Blader Passport for 10 USD and receive a year-long, unrestricted access to special giveaways and other tournaments hosted by the WBO!
Note: I'll also have a 'Happy Anniversary WBO!' sign so we can take some pictures with it during the tournament.

So let's stop failing, and let's get NYC blading again!

Alright, updated this list again, I'm assuming ZeroTategami2 is confirmed by his reply.

WarriorReborn, If you are confirmed as going please post a list here so I may add it to the OP for others to note while they are reading.

Everyone should be checking the OP for this event since it is serving as a directory for all of the information you need to know for this event. Any questions, just contact me or Cyber Blader.
il be goin
mind if i judge a bit so i can get my judge face?
We shall see.

I'll contact all of the confirmed judges on Thursday after Cyber and I talk.
On second thought ill go.
I am going, for sure. Please count me in. Thanks WBO.
I am selling a dark, cyber, earth, and 3 storms.I am also selling a leone ring and 145 track.
Remember I might be going
Yay! My class is cancelled so now I have a maybe chance to come
Hope my dad says yes
I'll tell if I will be confirmed or not on Friday
Btw, can I judge? If I go
As expected, they would not run a class on the Saturday before Christmas.

Ok, people. Please stop nagging me with the repeated questions of "Can I judge?". It's getting incredibly annoying, and like I said in the OP, I will choose MORE judges if more people show up. Also, I will take offers into consideration but if you're actually flat out telling me you want a DJ face, I'm obviously not going to accept you.

I will discuss with Cyber who the judges will be and depending on the amount of stadiums we have before the tournament happens. I suggest all of you wait patiently, and prove yourself to us that you are worthy of being a judge instead of asking us about it.
The class got cancelled not because of Christmas but because of the Connecticut shooting
Sorry for the judging question
Same here. I need to persuade my mom to let me go. But my dad is totally fine with it, so its gonna be some crazy beyblade arguments. Yet I thought the prize for first place was samurai pegasus.
Please put me in as a strong maybe. Looking forward to being part of it. Is there anything that I need to do before I go the tourney to be able to participate?
Just post here saying you want to go or can possibly go, that's all.

If you'd like you can purchase a Blader Passport for 10 USD either on here or at the tournament so that you can have free access to tournaments year-round, along with access to special monthly giveaways and other events.

Sadly, I'm not as financially able as other hosts, so instead I'm using old generation beyblades as prizes.

They are still very rare, I can guarantee you won't find these cheaply even though they are used.
I bought a passport before, but didnt seem to use it. Am I missing something?

I do not even have you in my file of expired Blader Passports, but it does not matter, because based on your description, your Blader Passport expires after one year, so you would definitely need to purchase another one now.
You can put me as a Confirmed now. My father said he'll take me for sure!
By the look of the storm ga I think it will have to be outside if it doesn't dry up
