SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25
3575 boul. Saint-Laurent, Suite #119, Montreal, QC, H2X 2T7 (Google Maps)

– BURST FORMAT –

Event starts at 12 PM

The WBO's Beyblade Bursts Onto the Scene tournament series is finally hitting Montreal!

We'll be setting up at Parc la Fontaine with a smorgasbord of the latest and greatest Beyblade series, kicking things off with a Beyblade lesson sure to enlighten new players and refresh the knowledge of existing ones!

Come compete to become Montreal's first Beyblade Burst champion!

Get your own free Beyblade to take home!

No Bey? No problem! If you don't have a Burst Beyblade of your own, we'll be happy to lend you one.

And at the end of the event, all 7 rental Beyblades will be raffled off (with priority given to those who have no Beyblades), so you might even get to take it home with you! Expect to see every Beyblade Burst release mixed into the selection.

In addition, everyone in the top 3 will receive the latest Beyblade release!

1st Prize:
B-17 Odin Central Blow, +3 Credits, [Image: goldface.png] Gold Face

2nd Prize:
B-17 Odin Central Blow, +2 Credits, [Image: silverface.png] Silver Face

3rd Prize:
B-17 Odin Central Blow, +1 Credit, [Image: bronzeface.png] Bronze Face

Registration Fee
  • $6 for Blader Passport holders [Image: passport_face.png]
  • $12 General Admission
  • Sale: Purchase a Blader Passport — which provides unlimited access to WBO events for a year — for $13 CAD, $7 less than the normal price of $20 CAD

Due to the high cost of importing Beyblade Burst from Japan and giving it all away, there is a $6 CAD entry fee even if you have a Blader Passport. We'll still lose money running this event, but it's a small price to pay to bring an awesome Beyblade Burst event to the Montreal community!

Plus, there's bonuses:
  • +1 Extra Credit to be used for prizes from our awesome Blader Rewards, in addition to whatever credits you earn throughout the tournament.
  • New Passport Holders will earn +2 Extra Credits, rather than just +1.

"But what about my BeyPoints? I've never played Beyblade Burst!"

No problem! This event is unranked, so your BeyPoints won't be affected. Focus on experimenting and having fun with Beyblade Burst!

However, you'll still earn Faces and Credits for battling well!

What is Beyblade Burst?

Beyblade Burst is the brand new, third generation of Beyblade by TAKARA-TOMY that launched in this summer in Japan! Check out our video review for the full details:

Ah damn, is there anything we can do about it, anything to help ? A lift, etc. ?
I know I am repetitive but...
Anyone? Last chance will be the burst event...
I will delete my account after the tournament
See you then

Hey dude, I understand that you are trying to sell your collection, but this thread is to discuss our Burst event. Not really the place to talk about quitting or deleting your account.
Upon receiving them, I definitely have some Burst BeyLaunchers to get rid of hah. I bought a big number of them because I wanted you guys to have easy access to them from the start anyway. If anybody wants one for ten dollars, let me know. They will of course be unopened, code unused and all.

I'm interested about getting one, but since I don't own a mobile device, you can definitely keep the code.
Ah, the app does not work on my new phone, but perhaps we can find someone else who has a compatible mobile device who could scan it for you though. It is just 600 or 700 points, but it would be a starting point for your WBBA account hah.

So OK, I will bring at least one extra BeyLauncher Sunday.
Works on my phone! Thanks for the launchers Kai-V!

So, some good and bad news.

Good: I have an indoor venue secured in case of rain, which is currently forecast for Sunday. We could also move it to Saturday if it would work for you guys, but that isn't necessary. Let me know what you'd prefer!

Bad: My Odins — and some of my giveaway Beyblades — won't be arriving on time for the tournament. Unhappy You'll still get Odin if you win, but ... you won't get it the day of the tournament. I'm really sorry about this, it was due to a mistake that my shopping service made. Unhappy

Also Good: Kei sold me five RBV1 at ZANKYE100K, so I'll still have a solid number of giveaway Beyblades. Smile If we do run out of Beyblades, I'll be able to lend some out of my personal collection as well. And if you want to buy Burst, I'll be willing to order it for you and you can pick it up at the next event. I won't collect any profit margin on group orders.

So that's it!

Oh boy how I wish there's something like this in my place. I'm wishing the best of luck to you guys, hope you have fun!
I can't at all for Saturday, just to let you guys know.

About the Odins, it's not a big deal, you're already doing so much with this event you don't have to worry about it. Personally, I wouldn't mind if the prizes were only face boosters instead of a physical thing.

Oh, and by the way, you don't have to tag my brothers, they don't check their account really often :')
We will definitely keep it on Sunday, then. And thank you for the kind words!
I won't be able to make it on saturday, I gotta go to an open house event
We'll keep it on Sunday.
I will be available both days and if you need me I can me a referee
Smile
Won't be able to make it Sunday. Saturday works best
Hey Brad, where is located your indoor B-plan exactly ?
Hey all — it’s looking like rain is a pretty certain thing for Sunday, so we’re moving this tournament indoors!
My employer Unbounce is allowing me to use our beautiful loft office in the Plateau! The address is:

3575 boul. Saint-Laurent, Montreal, QC, H2X 2T7
Suite 119

It's the Balfour building in this image:

This isn’t too far from Parc la Fontaine, but if this change makes it more difficult for you to get to the event, let me know and I’ll see if I can help.

I’ll try to keep the front door manned as long as possible (since it locks, you’ll need to be escorted in) but if there’s no one present, TEXT OR CALL 514-886-8535 and we’ll come get you!

We should have enough Beyblades for everyone to take one home. This is gonna be an awesome event. See you there!

(We also have a Wii U with Mario Kart 8, if that's your thing.)

Finally, the event now starts at 12 PM, and we'll introduce Burst a bit before going into tournament registration. So feel free to sleep in a bit! (If you're planning to come early, please don't come earlier than 11:15.)

Thanks everyone!

awesome leave the tournament on sunday im busy saturday and good luck to everybody
Do you know if there's a free parking place in this area ?
(Oct. 23, 2015  10:51 PM)MissingNo. Wrote: Do you know if there's a free parking place in this area ?

Your best bet is to park on one of the smaller streets in the area. In a desperate situation, there's a paid lot next door.

It's in walking distance of a lot of places, at least.

isnt parking free on sundays??
I don't drive so I have no idea :')
On Saint-Laurent, if not everywhere in Montréal, I am quite sure that it is only free after 6 PM.

Man, my left shoulder is quite sore from practicing today and earlier this week hah. Burst is much more of a rock-paper-scissors game though, nothing can really defeat more than one 'top-tier' Beyblade. Anyway, whatever happens for my performance Sunday, at least I have a lot of test results to post afterwards hah.
At least you still have saturday to rest your arm haha.

I'm a bit scared about this event, I'm not prepared at all and I can't really practice nor test anything by myself before sunday.
