Hasbro Beyblade Burst - Upcoming Release & Rumor Thread

Hasbro definitely does burst more often in my testing, but for MissingNo. to characterize it as ''who's going to Burst randomly first ?'' instead of ''who's skilled enough to Burst the other, or avoid getting Bursted ?'' isn't entirely accurate in my opinion.

There's some match-ups in Hasbro Burst that end up in a lot of Double Burst Finishes because of mold changes to the Layers that made them more aggressive (like Odin/Odax and Neptune/Nepstrius), but if you look at my testing (specifically the Hasbro vs Hasbro results) on a deeper level you'll see that there is also match-ups with things like Unicrest and King Kerbeus, you'll see that the burst finish frequency was pretty low in many of their match-ups. If anything, my statistics were skewed a bit to show a higher burst frequency because of sub-par Hasbro Layers like Odax and Nepstrius that probably wouldn't be used in Hasbro-only Burst Format. So, it's important to look at the individual match-ups rather than the big picture before drawing such definitive conclusions.

Really, it's an entirely different metagame that hasn't been explored all that much yet at this point.

Yeah, although the testing that you and others did is great, it doesn't paint the most accurate picture of an actual Hasbro meta because, naturally, people are going to avoid the Layers that burst often like the plague. With those outliers out of the game, the average burst rate will go way down. The challenge ahead is finding out what works and what doesn't in Hasbro - it really is like getting our parts pool doubled in size.

Hahaha, fair enough. "Aggressive" maybe isn't the best word for it.

Yeah, my testing was more about creating a baseline of performance in as many different scenarios as possible since there was nothing before that. So it definitely doesn't (and isn't meant to) paint a final or accurate picture of what a Hasbro metagame/burst frequency would be like. And exactly! Having the parts pool basically doubled in size is part of what makes it so exciting to me.
Well, Hasbro just tweeted not too long ago that the show starts on Monday in the US on Disney XD. Looks like we really won't be getting the beys till January... Way to go Hasbro...

You thought we would actually get it earlier? They had a release date set, don't expect it to come out a whole month in advance.

Also did anyone see "Valtryek V2 Victory Valtryek" on the app?

Well, actually yes. When they send out a tweet that says "it's your turn in a couple of weeks" I would suspect that it meant we were looking at a Dec release.

Plus, calm yourself. I wasn't expecting anything. Just a little disappointed in Hasbro's bad decisions.
How do we know for sure it won't be in December though? It seems like Australia just got it out of the blue, so we might see something similar happen here.

W2 looks good, it would be interesting if the Layer from Hasbro will give it a second wind compared to it's poor performance from Takara, but it's unlikely.
Credits to AFresnics117 for pointing out to me that they added the other boosters and starters being released to their website! Go here: http://www.hasbro.com/en-ca/brands/beybl...wcB&page=1

I would post images, but I don't have time to upload them, so the website should do.

It's sad that Nova Nepstrius doesn't include Trans. It seems like Survive? Yegdrion also seems like it has Edge from the top view because the tip if not entirely round. Oddly, Wild Wyvron and Dark DoomScizor weren't shown... I'm glad to see Hasbro releasing a launcher separately since it is actually able to be held. But sadly it seems to use the same Hasbro ripcord..
Woah, that grip is cool

A new grip launcher with a longer winder is coming out, and you can scan it from the page! It looks like the old render for the launcher back when the game fist came out IIRC.

And unfortunately, it looks like N2 is coming with Zeohyr instead of Trans.

EDIT: sniped by Hato's edit.

DOUBLE EDIT: So the Grip launcher works even if you haven't got the update yet. And you can switch between launchers when ever you want by hitting a button on the bottom=left corner. Unless someone else does sooner, I'll post screenshots when I get home from school today.
Nova Nepstrius is an abomination. And all the others look so bad as well...

eeeeh, Hyper Horusood looks better than the takara one imo

Also, the Supergrip thing says it comes with a 9-inch winder. How long is that compared to the winders in the Hasbro starters?
But the opaque colours... Beyblade Burst was already tacky to some extent, but now, still with that cloudy clear plastic, that is just too much, personally.
Looks like Yegdrion comes with edge in place of gyro...
Oh boy.
Oh hasbro noooo ! Why are you making haribo dragibus colors for the beys ?! And this white launcher I think it represent the sword launcher but it seems to be the same s*** like the light launchers in the starters, I love so much beyblade i'm angry
This kinda sucks, Nova Nepstrius with Trans, and Yegdrion with Edge... But that Supergrip Launcher looks nice.
Supergrip Launcher very obviously based on Sword Launcher. Visually, everything looks pretty bad, and the part swaps are disappointing. No Xcalius either. Pretty disappointing, to be honest.
Quote:Players can connect a second original Beyblade Burst launcher (Sold separately. Subject to availability) to the Supergrip Launcher for a double launch!

OK, so I totally expect that the Supergrip Launcher is not actually using a different internal mechanism from the normal Hasbro launchers. It's just a bigger grip. Hard pass.
Yes, the internal mechanism is almost definitely the same. I think we are far from a stronger Hasbro launcher for Burst...
I noticed something when taking another look at the Supergrip Launcher.  It has multiple openings.

Just thought I'd add something.
Ive seen some differenses between the two and the hasbro mold is more prominent edge at some point. And have clearly much plastic in the sublayer (color one) too but cant say if it can change something in performance. But it is slightly loose for burst then tt mold.

Interesting feature, but that definitely confirms that there is no internal mechanism in that extended grip on the right.
Hasbro!!!!!!!!! Where the heck is Trans and Gyro!!!

They better release them in a special driver pack or something.(I'm pleased with their Supergrip Launcher)
