What do you mean?

It almost seems that the render is transparent somewat(Always keep it at 100% opacity), try to add a yellow 100 px soft brush set to soft light where you want the light source to be. The use some gradient maps set to soft light, change the opacity tell it looks good.

In your layer box, there are two more options: Channels and Paths. Go to Channels and hold ctrl, and then click on the "Alpha Channel" thing. It should select the whole C4D. Copy and paste, and remove the original layer.

Too much lens flare. I think when a sig has too much lens flare, that is what your focusing on and not the actual render.

My technique works best if you are not lazy and is very patient:
zoom in until you see boxes, then follow the boxes. it could take awhile, and if you zoom out you will see a huge amount of paths, which is good.

this works with everything except hair

I remember seeing that tut, there are randon erase dots on your sig, in my opion I don't think those orange dots need to be there. You should also download some fonts that suit to your tags. Don't blame me If I'm a bad cnc'r

Edit: Oh and also, it's because I like the use of gradient maps, So I use the same ones. Other gradient maps I use seems to not suit my tags but I like it like that
