Dude you cutting is nice, did I teach u how to do that? Just add meaning to your background or basically add more to it.
I couldn't help my self,
ice, ice, baby...
Got that right, Othellog Tongue_out
But, like Othellog said, your cutting is very nice. My cutting sucks XD
Also, for your background, you seem to be using brushes most of the time, if not all the time, is this true? You need to work a little more on the background, either way. This is my opinion.

I don't feel like making a video, but I think this is the best method:

Its more time consuming, but, the product looks good every time.
yea I use brushes and I am working on that I was just lazy and I am tired because I am fasting you will see better in about a month.

Wait, you don't know how to use the paths tool? I'll PM you! I may not be good at it, but I know how to use it.

Dude that's the fist time I've done that, I don't like using stock BG's. Its may look like I use them, but I've been making my own backgrounds for the last month or so. Saying I don't make my own background is insult, that's why I don't like it when people say that.
And btw those building diddn't look like that before, its called effects,

I accept, we're still chill.
For all of you who watch my videos about GFX, I made one because I won't be on my computer for a while.

I found out gimp has gradient maps XD and i need help when i try to download brushes for smudging it says application not found T_T
i think it was:

Quote:when a background is dark, make the other color lighter

or something.
i have made some sig's please comment nd tell

1: floating head syndrome FOR THE LOSE!!!(FTL!). your cutting needs work, plus there is no flow
2:WAY TO BLURRED! never expand a render! again, your cutting needs work, and there is no flow

both sigs don't have depth, light, and flow. cutting is a major factor here. what program are you using?

It looks pretty good, only if the background blended with the characters colours....
But other than that its really good.

here's a cool technique:

using the soft brush, and using a white color, "click" on an edge of the sig, or seemingly anywhere. this will be your light source(like what i'm doing right now Smile)

That's what I was thinking, but I think there would have to be more colour in the background for that.
othellog what? A dark background or light background will do

@SDC i am going to ask permission to post a VERY LONG TUTORIAL so people can understand what flow, depth, and light means
You might want to finally stop using those ugly scan lines before you begin to talk about light and depth ...

Some people like those, but I'm with you. I don't get why everyone does that, it doesn't fit every theme.
Yeah yeah i stopped using them, but i WILL TRY to use it again, this time in a holographic Way Smile, and if i finished it, ill give bugturtle a credit for the idea LOL
What was with the idea of scanlines anyway, DeX?
I think he said it was because of brightness
I don't remember (did he even say anything about it)

No0b here,

What are scale lines? Are you referring to the diagonal lines that can be in signatures (Like DeX's current one)?

I think it kinda spruces it up, personally. At least it's different...
