Quote:Tempest Wyvron W3, known as Tornado Wyvern in Japan, is a God Energy Layer released as part of the Burst System. It debuted with the release of the B-80 Random Booster Tornado Wyvern .4G.At on April 29th, 2017.
==Description==
Tempest Wyvron is a Defense Type Layer that features an eight bladed top layer, akin to the first Wyvron Layer and an eight bladed, free spinning bottom layer made of translucent plastic. While the spiked design may imply that this Layer has a lot of recoil, the direction of the blades means that they would parry oncoming hits and the free spinning layer rolls will impact to reduce recoil.
Tempest Wyvron has two weaknesses; the first is the Layer's teeth; Tempest Wyvron has four short teeth on the Takara Tomy release which the free-spinning layer is meant meant to compensate for. However, the size of the layer and the large gaps between each of the blades means that the opponent is likely to contact with the gaps of the top layer and Burst the Tempest Wyvron combination. The second weakness is the poor Stamina of the Layer, Tempest Wyvron's weight distribution creates poor spin times compared to other Layer such as Alter Chronos.
==Overall==
Despite the potential Defense within the gimmick, the large gaps in the free-spinning layer, weak teeth and low Stamina of Tempest Wyvron makes it outclassed by other Layers such as Alter Chronos and Drain Fafnir. As such, Tempest Wyvron is recommended for collection purposes only.

Since I just got tW (Woo Hoo, thx Sugui 4 ur luck ) I'll test it sooner or later cause I still see potential in this layer.

Thanks, I'd like to see how well it defends against right spin attackers and how it compares to the original Single Layer. If you have Quarter, maybe use it to solve the balance problem?

Sorry, I don't have Quater but I could try Infinity as it is slightly oval-ish. Probably gonna test it against VHX, D2, L2HV(my Hold's spring compression is messed up so I can't use it), and V2KZ to see if it's imbalance affects its stamina.
Awesome draft! I'm glad someone could make use of my testing haha.
I haven't conducted official testing yet but from just free playing I noticed some things
tWGR VS VKX
tW is great at making the opposing bey get pushed aside and it made Valkyrie lose its flower pattern many times, whenever V would go directly towards the center of tW it would sometimes succeed or it would hit the free spinning wheel 3 times and get pushed aside. tW specialty is it's ability to avoid damage rather than making the opponent take more damage via recoil and deflection(that's what I call it anyways). Though It's stamina isn't too great, it feels like the free spinning part makes tW trade defense for a bit of its stamina as VKX got really close to OSing tW. Well, anyways I'll do testing someday, but probably not so soon.

someone should try if yell could solve the balance problem of tornado wyvern.

wait tW has a balance problem?

Quarter is made to unbalance the bey though..

quarter is imbalanced but it can make an unbalanced bey more balanced like it can make xcalibur more balanced.
It says you can balance it with a metal god chip, but the thing is, we don't even have that yet so we don't know how well it'll do for tW, isn't that speculating?
tW is not a good counter to dF :p
Tried many times but it still gets OSed by a hand spun dF.P.At

It can't lol
oh haha sorry i actually heard that from the quarter thread that it makes xcalibur or unbalanced layer more balanced.

I do not have Yell but I doubt it would help
It's main purpose is for defense by distributing the force of impacts. I've used Gravity, Knuckle, and a bunch of others disks with Revolve but all of them didn't change the outcome
tW weighs 9.2g
Try Tw .P .G
Polish for LAD, and Gyro for the Stability. (I think, I still am learning)

Gyro has been outclassed by things like Revolve, Orbit, Atomic, and Yeilding
tW isn't very good as its stamina is pretty poor and it bursts to things like sX and lS. While Polish would make the combo very resistant to dF combos, its easily beaten by right spin combos.
Don't worry, you'll get the hang of combo building by just looking around
I MEANT TO HIT REPLY NOT EDIT REH
that sucks. At least it comes with decent parts. so is it worse that P2 and E2 in terms of performance?

In the current meta it is outclassed severly and has no use since its light, has low stamina and is relatively easy to burst
Edit was not prevalent
thank you. That helps a lot.

==Description==
Wyvron W3 is a Defense Type Layer that features an eight bladed top layer, akin to the first Wyvron Layer and an eight bladed bottom layer made of translucent plastic. As part of the Switch-Strike/God Layer System, Wyvron W3 features a gimmick; the translucent bottom layer is free-spinning.
In theory, the free-spinning layer will parry oncoming hits by moving with the opponent's Layer and reduce recoil. In practice, the gimmick works as intended, drastically increasing Wyvron W3's Burst and Knock-Out resistance. However, Wyvron W3 has two weaknesses; the first is the Layer's teeth; Wyvron W3 has four short teeth on the Takara Tomy release which the free-spinning layer is meant meant to compensate for. However, the size of the layer and the large gaps between each of the blades means that the opponent is likely to contact with the gaps of the top layer and Burst the Wyvron W3 combination. The second weakness is the poor Stamina of the Layer, Wyvron W3's weight distribution creates poor spin times compared to other Layer such as Alter Chronos.
==Overall==
Despite the potential Defense within the gimmick, the large gaps in the free-spinning layer, weak teeth and low Stamina of Tornado makes it outclassed by other Layers such as Alter Chronos and Drain Fafnir. As such, Tornado Wyvern is recommended for collection purposes only.
==Differences in the Hasbro Version==
Wyvron W3 is virtually unchanged from its Takara Tomy counterpart with the gimmick intact, slopes of almost identical strength to Tornado Wyvern's teeth and the same poor Stamina. Due to their being few other Switch-Strike Beyblades released at the time of writing, Wyvron W3 has excellent performance in Defense combinations. As such, Wyvron W3 is a welcome addition to any blader's collection.

I thought it was just Wyvron W3 for Hasbro.
