I just did two tournaments this weekend. The one I did had MANY novice bladers which these combos would be fine. The other was few more advanced and you'd get ko'd easily.
I'd never use a WD besides on a spin stealer personally in a tournament unless you knew you were going against a basic defensive bey with no ko power like basalt and Diablo can do.
Stamina: Earth Aquario 100WD or AD145D/CS(if calm) are good choices given what you have.
Defense: Twisted Aquario R145CS(if calm)
Anti-Attack: Twisted Aquario R145R2F/CS(if aggresive)

Thanks, let me know if the combos below are good enough to at least get me through the first round. I will be getting Duo soon so if you can suggest some combos involving duo uranus's parts that would be great.

Stamina: Earth Gasher 100WD
Defence: Basalt Aquario R145WB (I will use my CS when it becomes less aggressive.)
Attack: (I don't use attack very much) Gravity Perseus (Counter Mode) W105HF (R2F if in a TT stadium)

What makes CS such a great Defence wheel?

I want to make an attack type using the 230 spin track. Are there any suggestions? You can name any part except Metal Faces. I can buy the parts I need easily.

CS is a wonderful Defense/Stamina Hybrid tip because it has a relatively decent amount of hold on the Stadium in the appropriate condition, while having considerably longer spin times than RS and RSF, lacking a noticable weakness to Left-Spin(which rubber tips usually display), more counter-movement when being hit, and several more adaptable movemet patterns with different types of launch.

yeah if you're in Hasbro stadiums only, stay away from rubber tips. the Rubber on the CS helps prevent KO's is all from the choices you have. but if your CS is still aggressive it's not a bad thing just use in the right situations when combining early attack with stamina.

That sir would be anti-attack. He shouldn't use that unless he's facing an attack type. Do not make recommendations like that unless you state that...

@i am eartheagle Nothing is very useful there. You can try Earth Pegasus W105R2F for anti-attack, but it's pretty useless against the meta game...

Anti-Attack= Defense also Diablo has its best results as a defense combo on RF, which by default makes the best Diablo combos Anti-Attack as mentioned on the most recent pages of the Competative Combos thread is stated many times.

@ moomonster21 In general 85 XF combos scrape badly.


@ Fang Leone W2D is generally an alternative to WD for Stamina and is not used for defense at all with many better options such as CS, RS, and RDF.

It would be best to get Ray Striker D125CS right now. CS will improve your defense combo, while D125 will be a little more helpful for your attack combo...

Actually, I think he's correct there...
An RF/R2F would be better for Diablo based Defense, which of course, is anti-attack (a form of Defense).
Diablo has a lot of weight. But at the same time, it has too much recoil. Diablo BD145CS is a superbly heavy combo and would easily beat certain Attackers. But sometimes, the recoil would affect it. Diablo doesn't have great Stamina either. So, this might prove out to be easy prey for certain Stamina combos to outspin, probably even a few 'better' Defense combos, and even an exceptional Attacker.
This means, that it isn't 'too' reliable a Defense combo. Putting it on an RF would make it superbly aggressive. Diablo would now transform into a deadly anti-attack combo, something that can be beaten by very few combos. Smile

I may be wrong though, as I personally do not own it, and have also never seen one in battle. Smile

aj740- You might also like to use an L Drago Destroy as a substitute Attack wheel on the same setup (as suggested above by DefStamina, followed by the changes made by Fantomu).

Does anyone know a good lightweight stamina-attack hybrid combo for these parts that can stand a chance in the basalt heavy metagame:

Stamina-Attack hybrid? I think there is such a thing, but that would be kinda hard to make. CS is the only tip you have that has a Stamina-Attack hybrid, but it's used for defense...
