Dang, I was really hoping they would make the lead character a girl this time around. It would do nothing to take away male's interest in it and would do a lot for helping enlarge the female fan base (and you know gender equality rather than the token female character on each team)
The dude who own Valkyrie looks like a crazy fusion of Ginga and Masamune. Meh.
Uh wow, real original... I wished it was female...

At least he looks a little different, thanks a lot Makrz!

EDIT: I do kinda like the design of the owner of Spriggan!
-smile turns to frown-

No.....

-looks at the owner again-

No..... let me guess, that's our protagonist? (Answer: Yes) Oh-ho oh no... So we aren't going to get a female protagonist then? Damn! I bet the best we'll get for a female character is either a mechanic, a really stock classmate or just a background character.

As for the protagonist, he has a... questionable design. He looks like a Yu-Gi-Oh 5D character (actually that's not fair, 5D had more interesting designs). His design isn't really bad but it looks kinda crazy. However to the designers credit, he does remind me of that villain from Crash B-Daman which is cool I guess.

As for the owner of Spriggans (who I presume is the rival)? Eh. It's okay I guess (at least it looks natural).
Heh... heh... A female character serving as a Blader, that's wishful thinking, oh no, make way for the cliched characters like the skinny scared nerd, whimsical kid and the ooooh so dumb dumb fat guy, UGH!

I agree with you, I hope there isn't a stereotypical big meathead as I think it's a negative stereotype to big overweight people.

As for the characters, I think the main protagonist is fine and the rival (I think) is pretty cool looking.

Like Momohimi said, I hope there is an interesting female character.

I hope the anime adaption won't end up like CFB because I don't like CFB's artstyle.
Here are my opinions on the designs. They're okay... I guess. At least he doesn't wear any cliche clothes or outfits like goggles much like how most main protagonists in shonen manga/anime do (Dan Kuso, Yamato Daiwa/Delgado, Daisuke Motomiya etc)...
The main protagonist's name is Bart or Balt, whatever they will choose as the romanization (he owns Valkyrie Wing Accele), and Spriggan Spread Fusion's owner is called Shuu.

The new author of Beyblade (mangaka) is Hiro Morita. He has seemingly only worked on a series called Kiriwo Terrible in the past ...

Unfortunately, personally, while I am optimistic about Beyblade Burst as a toyline, that character and even perhaps the art style do not interest me this time around ...

That's kinda because the show looks generic and cliche, ah well.

I do look forward to the toyline, they look great! I think Shuu is a cool name, Balt, do I like it? It's- well let's just hope his personality is cliched... probably will be.
The name could even be romanized as Burt or Bult, or some other things ... Only time will tell what their final romanized name choice is.

I also added something to my previous post about the new mangaka.
I'm guessing the extremely possible dumb fat fat meathead owns Kerbeus, cuz Y'know it's okay for the bulk ones to own a thick beyblade, cleeeeearly a must use for a kids anime series EVERY TIME heheh...

What are you talking about ?

Oh, and I just saw the V on his coat : his name could also be romanized as Valt, Vart, Vurt, Vult, etc.
Is the name Bult suppose to sound like the word 'bolt' (as in lightning bolt)? Because it would make a tiny bit of sense considering his Bey is Valkyrie.

Oh and I believe J.I.N.B.E.E! is thinking the main protagonists will be cliche.
Man, that Shuu guy looks totally hardcore! Not too sure about that Baruto guy or whatever his name is.

I too was hoping for a female protagonist. Not because I'm a gender equality fanatic, it's just that after two generations with male protagonists I'd like to see a change from the same old.

No, it would sound more like Balt.

Is there a reason they named him Balt or is it just them choosing any Japanese name?

What I am talking about is that I'm going to bet that one of the main characters is a stereotypical dumb fat meathead like Benkei, a cliche I'm sick of.

Well, Bart or Balt is not a Japanese name, so it is probably made to sound like baasuto (Burst), since Bart/Balt is actually written in Japanese as baruto, so you can see the similarity. Just like the Blader DJ manga for Bakuten Shoot Beyblade had a main character (besides Blader DJ of course) named Gou Shuuto, as in Go Shoot : http://animemanga.worldbeyblade.org/inde...Gou_Shuuto
I can also bet there are as characters:
Whiny brat who is a shorty
The ugh... Tsundere female except whiny...

That god awful The Mechanimals already have the unlikable cast that's also stock, this one looks pretty promising, I'm definitely giving the toys a shot and I'll see the anime when it comes it.

We all wanted a female protagonist for a change but oh no, make way for some stock characters. Also if we do get female characters, I hope we don't get another Hikaru and Ren character because I hate them both.

I also hope they don't take the B-Daman franchise route where ALL the special characters (meaning Ruri and Natsumi doesn't count) are just men because it will become such a [censored.]. I'm not asking for too many female characters but I really wish there were plenty and not useless female characters Selen, Lera, Ren and ESPECIALLY HIKARU!
I can't see the pictures. Unhappy

EDIT: I just cleaned the cahce and all the stuff in the browser.

Now, I was REALLY curious about the art of the Burst manga, since this is one of the ways to advertise the brand and all the products. IMO, I liked a lot the art, although the main character doesn't look like a protagonist for me. They seem more generic... Anyway, I liked, but I need to read the manga to see if it will work for me to follow the new story line. Grin
There was no chance that the main character of this was going to be female. Sorry. I agree it sucks, but it was unreasonable to expect otherwise in the first place.

I don't think it looks that bad. The character designs are not great, but the art is pretty nice in general.
Hey makrz, where can you find the manga??? Smile The manga and pictures look awesome!
The art style is okay, it's a little like the MFB art style which is meh, but it reminds of Megaman NT Warriors which is kinda cool.
