Phantom is structured of both a Metal Frame and Core. The Core is located in the center of the Metal Wheel, and is polycarbonate. The Core is the Base of the Metal Wheel, as it is where the rest of the Beyblade's parts connect to. The Metal Frame surrounds the Core, and this structure provides many positive attributes, the most prominent being the added Flywheel effect.

Phantom has two Modes, named "Attack Mode" and "Stamina Mode", and can switch Modes by flipping the Metal Frame 180 Degrees. Attack Stamina Mode is when the Metal Frame displays Orion's "Smirk", four blue stars, and two prominent smooth curves. The more rigid and indented Mode is Stamina Attack Mode.

The Cancer/Gasher and Hades/Darkhelm Clear Wheels are considered to have the best synergy with Phantom, with Cancer being able to spin around 2 minutes longer than Aquario, another widely-used Stamina Clear Wheel.

The Metal Frame is what mostly affects the 4D Metal Wheel's performance, as well as the Mode Change. The outward weight distribution provided by the Metal Frame gives Phantom great balance.

Core:

- Weight: 2.50 Grams

This Core is a translucent purple color, in this release and has four small, upward-facing protrusions that allow Phantom to switch Modes. It is made of the light-weight Polycarbonate material that all plastic components of MFB are made of, and is relatively thin.

4D Bottom: Bearing Drive (BGrin):

- Weight: 3.45 Grams

BGrin has a unique, tall shape, and a height comparable to the TH170 (170 height) Track. It is also of a translucent yellow color which allows a faint view of the internal workings of the Bearings, which allows the Beyblade to spin for long periods of time with minimal amounts of friction.

Bearing Drive features a metal shaft connected to the middle of the 4D Bottom, a metal casing that it connected to the tip of BGrin, and metal spheres in between them. Sometimes, the bearing is able to stop the shaft from spinning, resulting in less friction between the stadium floor and itself. These factors increase Stamina, and due to these features, BGrin can reach solo spin times of up to seven minutes, but has many mold variations and general inconsistencies that can make this rarely happen. BGrin's solo spin time often varies ranges between 2-5 minutes, Though some BGrin's can spin 7 minutes.

Phantom Orion BGrin is an extremely versatile Beyblade that contains many useful parts. Phantom's Stamina is roughly equal to that of Duo, albeit performing better in different competitive situations, and BGrin is considered by many, one of the best parts to use in Zero-G Stadiums. To this extent, every Blader should own at least one of this Beyblade.

Stamina is when it shows the face, Attack is with those indents.

You have to break into B:D, in other words, you just have to spin the bottom for awhile, because, if you've ever watched any videos of Phantom Orion, B:D is always crooked, until you break into it.

I don't see much wrong with necroing an older draft, other than the fact that it is a BBS draft. There has always been a massive amount of drafts awaiting approval and to be fair, pushing up older ones to get some attention is appropriate.

With that said, nupmuk, you should probably include a bit more in your first next time you decide to bring up an old draft, but good on you to try and revamp. I suggest others partake in the editing. I assume time has aged this draft's accuracy so it'll need some shaping up to be in accordance to reality as it is today, not back when BBS was the scourge of WBO lmao

I don't see much wrong with necroing an older draft, other than the fact that it is a BBS draft. There has always been a massive amount of drafts awaiting approval and to be fair, pushing up older ones to get some attention is appropriate.

I assume this is the first of his numerous necros you have seen, so I will fill you in on why I posted what I did.

He has been doing this to several threads recently and it has simply gotten to the point of being overboard. He has been told by multiple members, now including myself, that drafts do not instantly get approved when they are completed. Since Kai-V is the one who approves the drafts, it might take a little while since she is extremely busy with her personal life as well as maintaining the entire WBO in general. Also, I am very sure that Kai-V is well aware that older drafts should be approved first, so necroing them to the first page does absolutely nothing beneficial except for making things a little more confusing and can be seen as somewhat impatient.

If you don't want to take my word for it, check a few of the drafts that have been posted in recently and you will see that all of this has been explained to him, but he simply refuses to listen.

Also, thank you very much Mr. MiniMod for pointing that out, I truly hope I did not offend anyone by using all caps to make a point to a member who does not seem to listen.

To be honest, Zero-G and 4D articles are actually my priority right now, for obvious reasons. Most of the Metal System Beyblades are done anyway, as well as the Hybrid Wheel System, so most of the holes are in the former systems.

----Mold Variation: Hasbro Metal Fury Version-----
Like all of Hasbro's Metal Fury releases, that company's original Phantom release was fused into one piece, stuck in its default mode (Stamina Mode). The PC Core area of the Metal Fury Phantom is made completely out of metal. However, this apparent increased weight becomes nullified by another feature of Hasbro's version of the Metal Wheel: the Metal Fury Phantom is also, unfortunately, around 10 grams lighter than its original 4D counterpart because of changes in its underside. This fact, combined with the reduced Flywheel Effect from the PC Core being made of metal, makes Phantom no better than Earth and Burn, which are completely outclassed even in Hasbro BeyStadiums by Basalt, Hell, and (Hyperblade) Phantom, out of all the good Stamina Metal Wheels distributed by Hasbro. The Metal Fury version of this 4D Metal Wheel is thoroughly useless, and the original 4D (Hyperblade) version of it has been made available to Hasbro Bladers subsequently.

Secondly, while its height isn't a huge mistake and still allows the customization it is part of to be balanced with a decent center of gravity, the fact that this height is fixed becomes a disadvantage against the more varied assortments of Attack combinations.

This is a nitpick, but personally, I feel you should put GB145 instead of S130 on Flash, since S130 will get crushed by E230, even more than GB145.

Example: MSF-Gryph Gryph E230BSF vs. MF-Flash Orion S130RF
Flash launched first on even launches, Gryph launched first on odd.

Do note the tip difference, as well as the fact KainHighwind did the first test, while I did the second, but his Flash benchmarks were always slightly better than mine, so at the least, I'd expect him to have even better results with GB145.

Otherwise, the only thing I can say is that I'd remove the attack part in attack/tornado staller. Phantom 85 MF really only KOs stamina, and even then, Duo 230 MB gives it some difficulty KO wise.

Eh, harder to tell with Revizer Revizer E230 because it destroys Flash any track RF, but IIRC GB145 is slightly better.

Well, Gryph Gryph E230BSF uses E230 in lower mode, whereas E230 defenders like Reviser Killerken E230CS use E230 in "upper" mode, which completely soaks Flash at any height below 160. If you're worried about E230 defenders, IMO switching to GB145 isn't gonna help much. Confused Just my two cents.

Alright, I changed S130 to GB145 for the Flash Orion combination suggestion, although I think S130 works really well in certain situations anyway. I also corrected what you had mentioned, Insomniac.


So, does everyone think this is accurate for both Zero-G and the traditional metagame ? I know theblackdragon recently raised the point that there was not that much testing for B:D for Defense, but the general opinion does seem to be that even if it is slightly better than the other Tracks and Bottoms for Stamina, it is just not worth mentioning compared to other things that are actually good in Defense.

However, this apparent increased weight becomes nullified by another feature of Hasbro's version of the Metal Wheel: the Metal Fury Phantom is also, unfortunately, around 10 grams lighter than its original 4D counterpart because of changes in its underside. This fact, combined with the reduced Flywheel Effect from the PC Core being made of metal, makes Phantom no better than Earth and Burn, which are completely outclassed even in Hasbro BeyStadiums by Basalt, Hell, and (Hyperblade) Phantom, out of all the good Stamina Metal Wheels distributed by Hasbro. The Metal Fury version of this 4D Metal Wheel is thoroughly useless, and the original 4D (Hyperblade) version of it has been made available to Hasbro Bladers subsequently.


4D Bottom: Bearing Drive (B:D):
- Weight: 3.45 Grams
B:D has a unique, tall shape, and a height comparable to the TH170 (170 height) Track without a Bottom associated to the latter. It is also of a translucent yellow color which allows a faint view of the internal workings of the Bearings. This metal ball bearing mechanism allows the Beyblade to spin for long periods of time with minimal amounts of friction. Indeed, B:D paired with its release parts Phantom Orion is one of the only combinations able to spin up to 7 minutes.

Bearing Drive features, inside its plastic casing, a metal shaft connected to the middle of the 4D Bottom, a metal casing that is connected to the tip of B:D, and metal spheres in between them. Sometimes, the bearing is able to stop the shaft from spinning, resulting in less friction between the stadium floor and itself. These factors increase Stamina, but there exists many mold variations even within the same distributing company and general inconsistencies that can make this rarely happen. B:D's solo spin time often ranges between 2-5 minutes.

This interesting 4D Bottom reminescent of HMS' Bearing Cores however has considerable issues. Firstly, since all it focuses on is stamina, it remains very easy to knock out of the stadium, with its tip being similar to other vulnerable Stamina Bottoms such as WD. Secondly, while its height isn't a huge mistake and still allows the customization it is part of to be balanced with a decent center of gravity, the fact that this height is fixed becomes a disadvantage against the more varied assortments of Attack combinations.


Use in Stamina Customization

While B:D has many issues in a BB-10, it has proven to work extremely well in Zero-G Stadiums, such as the combo Gargole/Revizer/Killerken Dragooon B:D. In fact, B:D does not appear to suffer the same vulnerability issues as in the traditional metagame, due to Zero-G's wild, swaying gimmick that give new angles of stadiums for B:D to embrace.

Phantom Orion B:D is an extremely versatile Beyblade that contains many useful parts. Phantom's Stamina is roughly equal to that of Duo, albeit performing better in different competitive situations, and B:D is considered one of the best parts to use in Zero-G Stadiums, especially with beginners. To this extent, every Blader should own at least one of this Beyblade.
