Your Worst Subject/s in School

Oct. 21, 2011  4:35 PM

So.....what subject in school do you perform the worst in?.... and of course tell why.

The subject I do bad in is English. Me and Essays(yes, essays are evil) really don't get along well. If a teacher tells me to write an Essay(once again, essays are evil) I don't do it. It's like when the teacher give a topic to write about, I'll write about 5 sentences and that's it.........

For a short while, Science. But I gotten over that hump and became best friends with my teacher. At times I struggled with intro tech because the equipment was god awful in condition and quantity.

I did poorly at mathematics, due to my dyscalculia. Still managed to pass and graduate, however, due to the prevalence of multiple choice questions with very obvious answers that required only basic common sense, not any manner of mathematical insight.

Hooray for poor educational standards.

I definitely agree, English is my toughest subject. I always try to write a lot and elaborate but it usually ends up being super-short.

I'm too ashamed to say </3
(That's how bad it is)

My subject is probably... Art. I just don't get how to draw good. I'm a terrible artist and can't draw for my life. I have the creativity of a squirrel(No offense squirrels).

You just need to find a style you can practice with. To increase confidence. It helps. Smile

Technically, Physical Education is a subject, so...
It's by far my worst. I get an A+ in it, but with no feel of accomplishment. I am completely nonathletic, run a mile in ten minutes while others run one in 5:45, can't catch a football for the life of me, am super weak, can't hit or kick, can't shoot a basketball, and so much more. The most I can do is tennis, which is fun, but this school doesn't play tennis Argh!

My school has this class called ADL. (A Disciplined Life. Sounds like a Nazi propaganda class, don't it?) I suck at it because it requires you to be cordial 100% of the time. Easy. Until some teacher made a mistake and I corrected him. The some guy acted like an idiot and I pointed it out. Then the class complained about homework, and I said "Because God forbid we have to actually WORK in school. Have MERCY!" I ended up nearly flunking the class.

CRU: Bet I'd beat you at...BADMINTON! (Yes. Our school taught badminton. Then basketball. Funny, but basketball was more fun. I was better at Badminton, though.)

How about you and me go a round Mr. No. 1? XD But yeah, I would say Geography is my weakest area of all, due to the fact that my teacher is the white devil and doesnt teach *****************************************************************************************************************

Thats how much my grade DESPISES HER!!!! When we heard she was gone for a week, EVERY SINGLE PERIOD CLAPPED LIKE AN IDIOT. XD

I have to wonder where my Geography teacher really gone to, to give us bad substitutes (which occasionally were indifferent about what is going on). One time would be the only time I willfully run out of class in my childhood. (As you can tell, I'm not anywhere a "Bad Boy".

Hah, we just got done with the badminton unit Tongue_out
I failed miserable, I started to get called 'The kid who put bad in badminton'.
No joke.

TBH i dont really have a worst subject

as long as i show up for school i usually do pretty well

im not a fan of english classes but if we are given an assigment to write a story or anything of our choosing, i usually have the most writen because i love to write about stuff

anyway off topic (this is a WORST subject, not favorite) lol

i guess for now mine would be American Government
it just gets confusing sometimes (example: which ammendment protects that, did that guy have the right to do that) once u grasp the basic stuff (which im still working on) i gets easier

edit: wow i typed up alot lol Smile (i usually dont like to type long awnsers)

American Gov't? What grade are you in? (Had to take it for the Constitution test years back. I flopped that part. I messed up on "Right to fair and due trial" and the such.) English is so easy, once you've got the rules down pat. Here's the thing about English. You learn everything once. In math, you use the same formula in a billion different ways, and it gets confusing. Same with Chemistry. And Physics. In English, you have concrete rules and a few minor exception. Largely, it's a common sense class. Like this: Once you learn what an independent clause is, you know it is a phrase that can be a sentence. Now hear me out. You cannot put a comma after one and put another independent clause after it. You have to use a period or a semicolon. So?

I like pie; it tastes very good. See? It's easy. Not think about it. Once you have committed this to memory, saying "I like pie, it tastes great." looks way off. You learn to catch it right off the bat. Not much studying necessary, just a lot of paying attention. Because so many rules are dependent upon other ones, if you miss something like the difference between a comma-splice and a run-on sentence or the difference between (in)dependent clauses, you're screwed.

Hm, I would have to say... Health; this year at least. I just never take it seriously because it's not a core subject. In general, American History. I'm good at memorizing certain things, but it's just so boring I won't even bother Tongue_out

Hmmm,my worst is Science, especially since were doing the hardest Science which is Life Science,I also have trouble writing Essays, teachers gives us topic that don't have much too write about Uncertain

If by "Health" you mean "Anatomy and Physiology", there is no subject more meaningful to your existence as a human being. Ignorance of your own body is detrimental to every single aspect of your life.

If it's a Physical Education type thing like excercise or dodgeball or hide the teacup in the ball room, then it's meaningless.

Tell that to an overweight, depressed, angry adult with chronic illnesses such as type 2 Diabetes and early incoming death because of their weight.

No, I mean drugs, smoking, and all that jazz. It is interesting, I'll give you that, but I'm just too lazy to do 100% work. I think Anatomy and Physiology is part of the science curriculum, Biology. That's a core subject.

I actually love gym, because even though I suck at sports, I have fun.

It's weird because that's what we are learning/reviewing in my Language Arts class right now and I stink at it. Just got a 2/5 on a quiz on it. I hate LA.
Oct. 22, 2011  2:58 AM

Think of it this way: A sentence cannot come after a sentence in the same sentence without a semicolon. It sounds stupid, but really think about it. That's essentially how you tell if something is a comma-splice.

Why don't you guys change the Topic to Best Subject? I searched and found nothing.

It's kinda pointless talking about your bad subjects, why not talk about the ones you enjoy and have interesting discussions with people who have the same interests?

My hardest class would have to be Science and L.A. I just hate all the stuff we have to write. I love writing but Non-Fiction writing bores me. And Science is the only class that I have a B in. All others are A's. In science I didn't turn in like 3 things because I didn't get it. Also funny story. In Gym I got in trouble for talking(How? But happens alot) Then my teacher made me sit outside the gym room. We have 2. A big one and small one. I use the small one. Well back on topic. My teacher went outside for Flag Football so she never got me. I was sitting their for the rest of the period. It was the most boring 50 minutes of my life.

Shabalabadoo: True. That makes more sense. All of this negativity is killing me.
Crow: Don't complain. I'm an eternal C+/B- student. I WISH I could have pulled that off. I managed a 3.5 GPA last year, but that promptly dropped to 3.0 this year. Besides, my school doesn't even HAVE a gym. We borrow a church's. Or we just don't have gym at all. That seems to be the case this year.

If you're going to one of those schools with a Phys. Ed program that is anything remotely similar to actually educating people about how to maintain a healthy physique, you're in the extreme minority.

Common sense is not learned in gym class.

Oh, and neither is actual excercise or dieting habits. Dieting habits being the primary keystone of being healthy, rather than being able to do jumping jacks and throw rubber balls at people.

If people were made to take an actual Anatomy and Physiology class in school, instead of/in addition to P.E., there's quite a good chance they'd be healthier overall. Having a buffoon that couldn't make it as a janitor yell at you to do pushups isn't a class. It doesn't teach you the drawbacks of anything, and it doesn't teach you the right way to do anything, in most cases. P.E. Classes, in their most common form, are meaningless.
