Recoil much?

That's quite odd, I really didn't expect to see use of it from anyone but me. Infact, I won against Mango using that exact same variation at GRAND BATTLE PRELUDE: Metal Fight Beyblade, since I couldn't find my Killerken throughout the last few seconds of stalling clause against his Genbull Genbull BGrin.

Do you remember what it was able to win against, though?

oops it was genbull XD
(Jul. 31, 2014  11:40 PM)Wombat Wrote: What's with everyone using Zero-G Attack mode on their Spin Equalizers? I mean, clearly it worked, but aren't you supposed to use the normal Stamina mode for more LAD?

In Attack mode, it keeps the Beyblade from tipping over as much which makes it easier for the spin stealer to keep on stealing spin after it has fallen over, since it is standing more upright and makes contact better. That way it can get a few more moments of rotation that can win a battle for you.

Has there been a Plastics tournament lately where the winner(s) didn't use Wolborg 4? Haha.
It's cheap and competitive haha. Who wouldn't use it?

The skills of using stock Plastics don't need Wolborg 4 Tongue_out.

Exactly. It's just funny how relatively easy it is to win with it in Plastics tournaments. Most people just can't compete against it.

Of course not! DJ - Fab!
Here in CT we rely on Blader Spirit alone to help us win.

That and Chris doing his Blader DJ impression when we battle.

Considering I was the only one who owned Plastics, I guess you could say no one had one. But that's not the point Tongue_out. (Well, yeah I guess it is, haha.)

In NC I resorted to taking it down in mirror matches after Right Spin Stamina and Attack couldn't beat it, haha.

geetster99 actually beat my Wolborg 4 combo using something like this:

AR: Tiger Defenser
WD: Wide Defense
SG: Right Spin Gear (Bearing Version)
SP: Cross Survivor
BB: Customize Grip Base

during GRAND BATTLE ENCORE: Plastics. I'm not sure how reliable that is, though, and my Wolborg 4 isn't working as well as it used to. In any case, yeah, it it can be tricky to beat.

Does anyone here actually know what the best way to beat it is?

Is SG Bearing Version considerably less aggressive than Customize Bearing Base is? My BK Tip is really aggressive for whatever reason, and I didn't want to self-KO so I didn't launch at full power. That's more than likely why I lost with Right Spin Stamina, but with a calmer CBB or SG Bearing version it's probably possible. Do you remember what the score was against him or how close the battles were? I lost 3-2, and they were relatively close battles.

Also, Dark_Mousy thought he could KO it with:

AR: Dragon Breaker
S-AR: Screw Zeus
WD: Wide Defense
SG: Neo Right + some magnecore
BB: SG Metal Flat 2
(or something similar to this)

But that matchup never happened as far as I know.

The whale attacker combo is what he was talking about in the tournament thread I'm guessing XD

What happened to " I hope this tournament doesn't get spammed with B: D and F230", LMAO? Serious

Also, why'd you use 2 limited-like combos ?
The whale attacker combo was like a recoil machine. It was amazing.

I was being sarcastic, haha.

I'm not sure if you know, but a lot of the Toronto bladers like doing this (except for Kei), we get a joke Beyblade and we both watch what the other person uses, and so we have a nice, and fun Zero-G Beyblade battle which doesn't consist of anything top tier, and so it'll end up going on the Winning Combinations list Smile

I should try making an actual OHKO combo using Whale Attacker next time, like the one on the Seaborg article.

I'm too serious to do that in an official battle haha.

By the way, I used BWD on MSF Killerken Dragooon SA165WD.
Oh hey, I didn't see that this happened yesterday! Congratulations to the winners, especially Kei.

Out of curiosity, how was F230 in Zero-G? It looks like... about 42% of the winning combinations were F230CF/GCF.

Oh, and what stadiums did you use?

Thanks!

As you would expect, it was used quite frequently. I saw several F230CF/GCF vs. F230CF/GCF mirror matches. I can't remember everything right now, but I do remember pretty easily defeating LMAO's Duo F230CF with Duo SA165TB in one of my BeyBattles.

We only had one Zero-G Attack Stadium because I was the only person who decided to bring a stadium (and when I got there I realized that I forgot to bring the covers for three of the other stadiums I had lol) ... We normally play with all three types, though.
Montréal, Québec, Canada - August 16th 2014 - "Notre Ami Félix"
Zero-G Format

1st place - The Boss : MSF Genbull Dragooon F230GCF, MF Duo Cygnus S165EWD
2nd place - loyd87 : MSF Genbull Dragooon SA165BWD, MF-L Duo Cancer B:D
3rd place - krustyburger05 : MSF-H Killerken Dragooon B:D

It is to be noted that The Boss's combinations are all some that I prepared hah. We also used both a Zero-G Stadium Attack Type and Defense Type.

Was that basically a Driger G with Whale Attacker? I'm unclear if it was a customize engine gear with a CEW or not.

They sound like competitive, understandable winning combinations, haha.

What other type of variations were used by other attendees last Saturday, though?
I cannot remember what the Chrome Wheels were exactly, but there were rather good Synchrom combinations, and thunderaquario used MF Phantom Orion B:D, which was not that bad.

in my block I see Phoenic Revizer E230TB/WD, MF-H Phantom Orion BGrin (stamina mode), Orochi orochi E230TB.

I've noted that phoenic Revizer combo works effectively. I win against it with my MSF Genbull Dragooon SA165BWD with over one or two rotation. that's it and she wins one round too.

for Phantom orion i was really surprized, I use my two Dragoon combo against it and lose each time. I most use my Duo combo to beat him. my second dragoon combo is MSF-H Wyvang Dragooon SA165GF.

orochi combo is a little outclassed agins the other combo so I don't think he wins a match. not sure.

else my girl friend using a MF-H Ldrago Guardian BGrin and lose one time against Kai-U msf-h genbull Dragooon F230GCF.

that's what i remember! enjoy helping you!
