I've noticed that some drivers seem to hold Forge Discs in place less snug than others - for example, I just got a Judgment Joker J5 and found that the Trick-H driver that comes with it gives the Forge Disc about 1-2mm of space that it can wobble around in, which I imagine isn't great for the driver, and probably the energy layer.
I'm not sure if it's tourney legal, but I found that if I pop the GT chip up before inserting the driver, that reduces the amount of room for the Forge Disc to move around and keeps it more stable. Alternately, I'm thinking of putting a small piece of electrical tape on the raised wedge of the driver (where it makes contact with the Forge Disc). Ideally, this will keep it from wobbling around but won't add any burst resistance, although it definitely won't be legal then.
Has anyone else tried to fix this issue?
