Beys of Glory 2 &
A YEAR: The Month of Rebirth

Sunday, April 6th, 12PM
High Park - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Standard and Limited format

After missing the last few month's tournaments due to weather and venue issues, we're back! In the past, Toronto's spring tournaments have been proven to attract many bladers, so be ready to battle! I will be hosting the Standard format tournament (Beys of Glory 2) whilst Pockyx3 will hold the Limited format tournament (The Month of Rebirth)! Assuming we have enough attendees, this will be an official WBO tournament, so make sure to get your Blader Passport for $10 if you haven't done so already! Or, simply pay $5 if you plan on only attending The Month of Rebirth. However, if you wish to join both tournaments without purchasing the passport for some reason, it will cost $10.

Location:
We'll be playing in the shelter where we usually play. If you're coming to High Park via the Bloor entrance, just follow that road down on the right side and you'll see the large building/shelter on the left hand side before you reach the tennis courts. In case you guys haven't been to our regular tournaments, here are some visual directions.

Format: We will be using both Standard format and Limited format for this tournament.

Time: The Limited tournament (Beys of Glory 2) will start at approximately 12 PM, while the Standard tournament (A Year: The Month of Rebirth) will start at approximately 2-3 PM.

Side Note: Guys, please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and I'm not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up to me or one of the other judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

All questions for this tournament may be asked in this thread.

We're keeping Toronto's bey-spirit alive, your support thus far is appreciated! Let's keep this up guys! If you wish to attend please post below, I'll start gathering an attendance list.

I'm so excited for today! It's been so long since I've seen all of you guys.

I may be there a little later than 12:00, since I have to be somewhere before this tournament. I can probably stay until the end of both tournaments though. Good luck to everyone! Joyful_3

Also, Kei, did you contact David yet? I just want to make sure he knows that there is a tournament today aha.
It's beautiful weather! I'll be wearing a spring jacket, unlike last event.

Hopefully David'll remember. That shouldn't be a worry, though.

See you guys in around two hours!

LMFAO sorry :p

I have your book ready for you, I remembered this time!

Leaving in about an hour, see you all there!
Go LMAO! I'm betting on him and Kei Serious
Jesse phoned me earlier and said he'd be able to make it today as well. Smile

See you guys soon!
A YEAR: The Month of Rebirth (Limited Format)
1st: Kei
2nd: Pockyx3
3rd: JesseObre
4th: Midnight

Beys of Glory 2 (Standard Format)
1st: LMAO
2nd: Kei
3rd: Pockyx3
4th: JesseObre

Great day today for our first ever back-to-back tournaments! Combos and pictures will be posted soon. Video? Someday.
Awwwww! Midnight came so close again Unhappy

Looks like Pocky and Kei (as usual) had a good day, haha.
Congrats to the placers!
This event was absolutely amazing!

I did extremely well in Limited Format, with a score of 5-4. Me and Jesse were in an extremely close tie. It's sad how I was just one win away from placing third, haha.

As for Standard, I did pretty terrible. I went 2-5, but was still able to beat both Pyrus10000, and LMAO. Most of these battles were extremely close, though. I remember two of those battles being extremely close. I shouldn't be losing too many points, having most of the attendees I lost against have more points than me.

I'll be gaining lots of points, though. For a fact, I wouldn't be surprised if I were to make it into the 100's position. I ending up beating extremely skilled attendees like Kei, Jesse, and LMAO (both events).

I remember hearing Pockyx3 saying something which was kind of hilarious. ''This event isn't even for beyblading. It's for trading wins for McDonalds. That probably wasn't exactly what he said, but it was on the lines of that.

Jesse is great at rapping, I give him that. He's also good at picking up chicks.
That tournament was pretty fun! I'm glad I got to see you guys after such a long time, and I'm proud of my records, 4 - 4, and 0 - 7. Also, the highlight of my day is when I won against Kei with Cyber Unicorno SR200XF, lol.

Our records were very similar, from what I remember. Smile
Hey guys, here's a few pictures I took last week during our "fake tournament" with my Canon A1 (a film camera). I developed them last night and scanned them today:

I took more using it today that I'll develop sometime later once the roll is finished. I'll post the ones I took with my phone soon.

By the way, if you're interested feel free to check out the Flickr account I started recently for my film photography: https://www.flickr.com/photos/119527443@N05/ Smile

I also post the photos to Tumblr if you have that: http://lightsideinhabitant.tumblr.com/

Really awesome pictures Kei! Smile Can't wait for the others Tongue_out
That's some really amazing photography, Kei. Smile It looks like there's a ton of snow in the background, but I'm guessing that's just an effect.

I remember seeing small animal stickers on both your phone, and that camera. Amazing.
Forgot to post haha.

That tournament yesterday was so fun! I did so bad in Limited, but came back in Standard!

I'll be sending in the results and fees collected either today, or tomorrow Smile
That Banana peel is amazing!

Nice pics Kei, when will the real tournament pics be uploaded?

Don't say that. You didn't do extremely terrible in Limited. You went 4-4, from what I remember. That's average, aha.

Woohoo! I'm hoping to see my beyranks rise!

Send those results in fast, David.

If only you knew the real reason why he took a picture of the banana peel...

4-4 isn't that good, but I mostly come to tournaments looking forward to Standard since I'm really confident in it.

Also, the mini tournament/ fake tournament we had last week was equally as fun! Can't wait for the possible tournament in 2 weeks! (Or the qualifier lol)
april 20th is the next ternament? if it is, kei, i'll possibly be able to make it,

Kei: do I see an F230CF in one of those pics?

Also, congrats on hosting your first tournament LMAO!

EDIT: for crying out loud... Just pretend there is a "unacceptable!!!" Lemongrab meme(link) right there in that spoiler.
(Apr. 08, 2014  3:12 AM)Kei Wrote: By the way, LMAO, can you host the next tournament as well? Sunday, April 20th, maybe?
I'll see if I can make that one. I'd be possible, if that was the case.

I'd love for it to be Zero-G format, though.
